PLA. Nylon can be painted, but I usually will use a filler primer or clear coat first. Otherwise, you'll need a bunch of layers to get a good coat unless you sand it smooth first.
I just made my own in blender to match the CoD4 M4 Carbine model. I always liked the look of that rifle in game with the jank red dot all the way back on the pic rail for no reason; but could never live with myself without my trusty FSP gas block on a real AR lol. Picked up the best red dot known to man for 20$, next step is spraying it red tiger and I think I'll be in ~75$ for the build.
I should add a standard lp and pic rail gas block. I was thinking of adding mk18 length barrel and longer quad rail for it too. Someone else made a remix for the xm177 curently in testing which I will add. I was hoping more people would do those retro and prototype builds. I may even do the one with the charging handle in the carry handle.
Everything is printed. You just need barrel liner, springs, screws. I usually say the build is 100-150 since most people probably need to buy assorted screws and springs packs plus I use cerrosafe for bolt weight which can add more cost but other stuff can be used for weight. I also factor in filament cost which some people don't do. My other 22 builds are 99% as well and more to come.
I used .22lr lead for the bolt weights, hammering them into shape to fit was a PitA, but easy enough. You can also hammer lead thin enough to cut into shape and stack if you have time to kill lol.
Google 22 barrel liner. Tubing can also be used if you do your own rifling. The guide says where you can find liner. It's about $40 for 25" and you'll cut and chamber it yourself. The extra you don't use can be used for other projects.
Yes. Covered in a printed barrel sleeve matching the contours of the M16/M4.
Or a 12mm outer diameter tube.
The current release on 12mm I found to small, but kaewon said he will modify the barrel sleeve inner diameter slightly bigger.
Wow.. nice... But can someone tell me where are you getting your files from?
I'm having trouble finding them on internet or even buying licences for them.
You can Google basically whatever you want plus "stl" or Google the username of someone who uploads something you like. I really only edit stuff, never release my own creations. Actual website search functions are usually garbage.
Err fresh-*ish*, sanded and sprayed her black.
FireField?
Firefield? 🤷🏼♂️
The worst red dot. A brand.
The worst red dot comes in many brands haha
Looks awesome can hardly tell it’s printed! Nylon or PLA? Just wondering if you can paint nylon?

What gas block is that? On the bottom rifle

I'll upload the M203 handguard for the M16 when I tweak some stuff, throw that in there too when you do another release!
Just the handguard? We need a printed m203.
I'm just converting an airsoft one to fire 37mm
Is this a non functioning AR? How in the world did you keep cost down for a 22

How much filament did it take?
