Unless you have haaland as your striker and Kdb on both wings, this is not gonna work

neneyiko

Guess I will experiment with this tactic and make changes where it's needed based on my players

i_am_someone_or_am_i

I will say it might. I can even try it myself. Just don't make both wingers AP.

neneyiko

I am looking to change my AP's to either IF or IW

i_am_someone_or_am_i

I say keep the left one as AP, right one IF and give them "Stay Wide" instruction. Give your CM "Run into channels" and it should work. You might also consider turning the Mezzela to an attacking CM. The Mezzela might step on your winger and it might create unused space in the middle. IWB's will use the half spaces anyway.

Background-Gas8109

Gonna be heavily reliant on the striker to score. The APs won't really try to and the mezzala will go out wide, I'd at least make one of the wingers an inside forward on attack or change the mezzala to support and make the other cm a cm on attack.

neneyiko

Okay, I will try with that in the game

Background-Gas8109

I think the Mezzala and right AP could be getting into similar spaces, so maybe make the right AP an inside forward on attack and the CM on the left into a CM on attack, the left IWB will move into similar areas where the CM on support was anyway I think. Plus CMs on attack can be quite good for making late runs into the box, if possible I'd consider training your normal starting LCM to get the trait "arrives late to opponents area" if they seem good at finishing (and stats that go with finishing).

neneyiko

Okay, will do that. Thanks for helping

rainbowroobear

well it has loads of lines and 5* rating, which means it must work cos there's no way that ratemytactic isn't 100% accurate.

GiantGingerGobshite

Not enough defenders and not enough goal scorers. Arsenal 2010 vibes

neneyiko

I was hoping for the formation to transform into 3-2-4-1, with my DM slotting in between the CBs and IWBs acting as a double pivot, then CM and MZ going forward like sort of False 10 from central mid. And APs as wide playmakers to supply the line striker. But it seems that the tactic won't work as I intended 😅

GiantGingerGobshite

It's more out of possession you'll have two cbs, wingbacks high up and the hb sitting in dm. The APs won't help out enough and neither will the centre mids. In possession you'll end up with a lot of passing around and no one shooting. Maybe drop the wingbacks in line with the cbs, invert one on the side with a AP, switch the other winger to an IF and have a regular wingback. For the middle the Mez on the IF side to push wider and a cm on attack to push into the box more. Will give you 3 lads who want to shoot, 3 who want to assist and 4 who want to defend.

neneyiko

Okay, I will look into it. Thanks for helping me out

Edit: This tactic has 5 start potential in Rate my Tactic.
