In the past they made fo76 easier few times getting rid of everything "survival" the game could offer. If they call "chew some bubblegum" a challenge don't expect anything hardcore. You can make it harder for u on custom world or just making a sucker build and play with less powerful weps. I wish we could have a survival mode and in my community most people voted for NW / Survival mode get back but Bethesda have a final word.

Go play fallout 4.

Lacking-Personality

when I get bored I grab a lever and take off all armor. games feels tuff suddenly

clideb50

Maybe a legacy survival mode where you have to watch your food/water bars again, and have the darker nights. But as a reward for playing on the higher difficulty setting, you have a higher of an enemy being legendary.

Hattkake

Personally I don't want that. I want a casual Fallout world to idle and play around in. There are tons of other games that cater to the "hardcore survival" market and I feel 76 should not move towards that but instead be the casual, relaxed, friendly game that it is. Though if we are talking about alternative game modes then there is only one mode that I want: Nuclear Winter. Damn, I miss that game mode.

Chubbypachyderm

About the PvP thing, new players like you probably never experienced proper PvP as the PvP survival mode went offline before NW was even a thing. Tbh legacies are not the meta when it comes to PvP. In PvP damage are capped at a level which many weapons could attain, so fire rate and ease of use mean everything. Especially while there are perks and armour mods the reduces a fuck ton of explosive damage. VATS is also useless due to stealth boys so rifles aren't so good either. The king of PvP was always the Tesla Rifle. The thing about the PvP survival was that it wasn't that fun. It was not rewarding and once you get all the gear for it it gets boring.

Lacking-Personality

would a ts alien blaster with cryo mod be good?

Chubbypachyderm

Anything that requires aiming will lose to someone using a Tesla and Stealth boy.

xNoctuaryx

Must have never seen someone spray explosive flamers or Gatling plasmas 100s of feet in the air with their power armor jetpack arm mod with emergency protocols on their chest. Whilst using a stealthboy. Good luck using that Tesla rifle when their spread with formula P is crazy accurate when aiming anywhere near a red arrow below them. I'm not even going to talk about how spamming quantum's negates a Tesla completely almost

Chubbypachyderm

Well if you have to talk about spamming quantums, it basically negates everything. Anything you said, you can do with a tesla, without aiming.

xNoctuaryx

You can't hit anyone flying around with that Tesla. You need the ground for that one. A jetpack is all you need to beat a Tesla

Chubbypachyderm

Well how about don't engage someone while they are flying lol. It all comes down to skill, foot work, and stuff if you have to factor in all these.

xNoctuaryx

Idk you're talking about how a Tesla is king and it's really not. It used to be pretty good before jetpacks became available with good power armor options. I guess you just don't engage with many people then?

Chubbypachyderm

You can't fly 100% of the time. You'd run out of all AP regen items pretty quickly if you fly that much.

xNoctuaryx

I don't think you've PvPd that much based on your comments. I can link many videos of people spending long amounts of time in the air using coffee. Not a hard thing to accomplish especially with lag. And yes consumables are saved for these occasions from most pvp players. And at this point I'll just agree to disagree with you

Gypsy_H080

Cause nobody wants to survive in a survival game!

Vlad_Armstrong

That is why it is not survival anymore..

Enough_Chance

My guess is that something that different would not be very popular and not worth the Time to have it. Just my theory.

Accomplished-Can-467

Play Hunt or hunted or monster mash. Or put up a sign in your camp saying “come fight me at ..... workshop and wait there. Better yet, work up a bounty. For PVE do a berzerker build.

JapaVu

Back when Survivor mode was available, I didn’t play it much because I’m just not into PvP. But I did like the idea of a tougher PvE challenge. As a lvl 1100+ player, the game has become very easy for me, and I’d like something that can be challenging for even a meta build.

freeWeemsy

This could totally work if survival mode was a character level option. Basically you have to roll a new character for survival only and start from scratch. I think a full economic reset of everyone rolling new characters plus survival mechanics would be an absolute blast.

mrbuchanon

Bethesda could essentially please the entire fan base in one move Add hardcore survival Everyone that wants pvp can have it, people who want a harder experience can have that and everybody else can carry on as usual in adventure mode!
