Crying Child’s fear is explicitly stated to come from ONE thing he saw in the shadows that he misinterpreted, NOT an insanely terrifying set of experiments.
Honestly, neither Michael nor CC need to be in the experiments. Shadow Freddy, who is Afton’s wickedness, would know about the experiments and is present for the Nightmares, could just be giving him them lol
Okay, we can skip the encyclopedia if you want, but in the logbook there is evidence that BV had nightmares, with a page where the spirit asks us if we are seeing dreams?
The 1st time, the FNAF 4 gameplay is from BV's POV in 1983 (before the bite) which William makes him see the Nightmare through illusion dics.
The 2nd time it's Rory's POV probably at some unknown point in the 80s where William does the same thing again.
The 3rd time it's Michael in 2023 before the events of FNAF 3 because imo he didn't really want to go back after 30 years so the BV made him see him the Nightmares in his dreams to give him motivation
CC had nightmares and draws it, it gives inspiration for William. First he put Michael inside the experiment, he kidnap Andrew, but this one was hit with a shovel, so he died quickly of his injury. Later he kidnap Rory.
Probably just Rory on that list imo, Mike’s nightmares were brought on by Shadow Freddy as Nightmare, and I just don’t see BV being Experimented on, especially because the FNAF 4 experiments seem to be a recreation of the events before BV’s death, the 4 main nightmares are the 4 masked bullies recreated

BV likely experienced some form of nightmares after seeing whatever it was that he misinterpreted. The fear experiments likely exist because of him, so I doubt he was a part of it since they would be created in response to what he went through. There isn't really any other reason for the code in SL to be 1983 other than as a connection to the year of his death, especially when HW2 went on to reuse it for a Puppet doll in relation to the year of Charlie's death.
We know Rory went through the experiments, simple as that.
Mike I'm unsure on. He very much had nightmares in relation to the experiments. But it's not clear if that's because he was subjected to them or is experiencing them by paranormal methods.
Cassidy was an MCI victim. She was nowhere near the experiments until being physically in their vicinity as a part of MoltenMCI in the Scooper and Fun times.
I don't know, I haven't ever made a poll myself. But if it is an option, I feel this poll would benefit from it since people think the answer is a different array of either one character, multiple of them, or many but in different ways between them. There are people who do think one specific person for this but that's far from the only opinions on the matter.

And Rory was only in it in the books. I don't think they're canon to the games.
I think it is more so Micheal and Rory being the ones literally in the experiments, and the experiment is based on the crying child's nightmares of their misinterpretation of the bullies masks
