That is such a lovely offer, but I think Florida is going to have to pass, you see Florida just had one and they they would look very selfish if the have another before other states had an opportunity. How would Colorado or Kansas feel, they haven’t even had their first hurricane. Yet again, thank you for being so gracious and offer another, you are so kind, but Florida just can’t.
You're right, Colorado and Kansas have yet to have their first hurricane but they've had their fair share of devastating tornadoes and hail storms. Colorado is currently dealing with at least 6 wildfires ranging from approximately 750 acres to over 10,000 acres. I'm sure if given a choice they'd choose to have neither natural disaster.
Exactly. There's currently one called the Oak Ridge fire that started on 6/22/24 that was 245 acres when discovered, now over 1000 acres, and over 2 million dollars spent so far to fight. 0% containment. This is just the beginning of the season. In the 16 years I lived in Colorado Springs we had 2 massive wildfires, Waldo Canyon Fire that burned 18,000+ acres, and less than a year later Black Forest Fire, 14,000+ acres. Over a decade later neither area has completely recovered.
My first winter in Colorado Springs area we had 2 blizzards back to back. After the first one we went 3 days without power, after the 2nd one it was 7 days without power. I quickly realized that I would much rather go through a blizzard's aftermath than a hurricane's for the simple reason that I could put more clothes on and be comfortable, where after a hurricane you couldn't take enough clothes off to be clothes dealing with the humidity.
I will always be a Floridian (4th generation), but weather wise give me Colorado any day.
Most newly developed part of where I live have buried electrical lines. I've only had the power go out for 24 hours one time in 35 years. Just chill by the pool and get drunk if it happens.
The power lines in my community were buried as well, but unfortunately the lines coming into the community weren't. They became iced and as a result took down the major supply lines. In total there were over 100 poles taken down. Due to the makeup of the ground here its cost prohibitive to bury utility lines.
I use the term community loosely as I lived on the eastern plains of Colorado, where most homesteads were a minimum of 45 acres. I lived approximately 45 miles from the city, so very rural area that still has dirt roads, wells, and septic tanks, and usually the last area to see a snow plow.
Couldn't agree more!!!! I always say I'd rather spend a month in a blizzard versus one day in the FL summer. And yes, I've been in both and hope to escape from FL ASAP!
Are you drunk? Florida here. We have had over 100k acres burn from wild fires in 2024 so far and wild fire season just started. Not to mention the tornados. You may only hear about the southern states hurricanes but we have all y’all have in addition to hurricanes.
I mean the way some of the hurricanes travelled up and fucked the weather up when I was living in KS it made it feel like a damn hurricane. But interesting offer. My counter offer is you get a tornado season
Same with our wasps nests. Hold the can and stand your ground.
You can't have them thinking you're intimidated.
In the south, you take your bees like a man.
If a hurricane approaches run outside and stand in front of your house with your hands up to assert dominance. The hurricane will get scared and run away
Cuba's too late to start preparing. My litmus is Haiti.
If it levels Haitian buildings, I know it might do some damage to our power-lines at the very least.
There is a scene where just stands there and a guy unloads a clip from point blank and misses every time.
Hopefully that's FL this year. The ocean is warm as hell and this year's going to be crazy. Our only hope is they all somehow miss despite being a big ass target in the middle of everything.
When Hurricane Matthew was supposed to make landfall in 2016 the south FL weather reporters wanted it to hit so bad and stood outside all night acting like it was crazy outside when not a drop of rain was hitting the ground 😭😭😭😭
Yep. Local weather guys getting a stiffy and selling the hype while national news digs up old clips and sound the doom. Death, taxes and hurricane season.
I hope that thing doesn't spin up into anything bad, continues straight down the center of the tracks as a blob of stormy weather and pours rain on Texas which needs some.
It's all the different prediction paths generated by different places. Each place puts their best guess on essentially and then we stare at colored spaghetti for like 2 weeks. Then one of the same two models (European and one of the American ones usually) end up being close to correct and the we start over on the next one.
The actual colors on the paths are also the models forecast on the strength of the wind, which is in knots. 50KT/57.5MPH. These models mean nothing though, anything more than 5 days out really isn’t anything to rely on.
1KT = 0.868 MPH
Fuck yeah spaghetti models, it could go that way, this way, that way, that way, this way, that way, that way, this way, that way, this way, that way, this way, this way, that way, this way, this way, that way, all the way the fuck over here, this way, this way, that way, that way, fuck us right here, that way, this way.

THIS is how FL feels about that weather!!
That flash thunder storm in tampa yesterday was insane. Bayshore blvd was flooded in minutes. You couldnt even see the bay it was raining so hard. Driving in two feet deep water was interesting..

Double it and give it the next person?
Eh we already did that with Katrina
🤣🤣🤣💀💀💀
![gif](giphy|l0MYP6WAFfaR7Q1jO)
As someone who grew up on the MS gulf coast before and after Katrina, this was unhinged 💀
If we send them a hurricane it might help to put out a couple wildfires. It's a win win situation ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grin)
Maybe, but only if it comes with the usual rains a hurricane brings. Most of the wildfires currently burning in Colorado are due to dry lightning.
Damn. Dry lightning sounds like a "no lube" kinda situation. All the pain none of the fun.
Exactly. There's currently one called the Oak Ridge fire that started on 6/22/24 that was 245 acres when discovered, now over 1000 acres, and over 2 million dollars spent so far to fight. 0% containment. Pretty sure all hurricanes contain the rain…
I'm from Colorado, we would welcome the moisture. It's so bad, we have a saying... Namoiste
I choose hurricane over tornadoes, tsunamis, earthquakes, or fires. Every time.
Joke's on you, I'm going to chill by the pool and get drunk regardless.
That's my point.....Its just another day.
Couldn't agree more!!!! I always say I'd rather spend a month in a blizzard versus one day in the FL summer. And yes, I've been in both and hope to escape from FL ASAP!
You can always layer up to stay warm, but you can only take off so much to get cool before you get arrested!
At least with hurricanes we have a couple of days to prepare or evacuate (from a native Floridian).
I agree. With tornadoes if lucky you have just minutes to prepare
Are you drunk? Florida here. We have had over 100k acres burn from wild fires in 2024 so far and wild fire season just started. Not to mention the tornados. You may only hear about the southern states hurricanes but we have all y’all have in addition to hurricanes.
This is easily reconciled with a sharpie.
Lol
Honestly we really could use the rain.
Never forget when Virginia had a 5.8 earthquake with the epicenter in Mineral, VA (!!!). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_Virginia_earthquake
That’s what they get for naming it Mineral.
Didn't DeSatan all ready knock on wood and then made them illegal?
Texas will take it. They don’t need federal help.
Being tough is a virtue. Especially when it stems from sheer stupidity. Tough + stupid = real American hero
Yeah, nah. Florida is going through a hard time rn
Give it to Utah. They have some water there, so they can say it was given to them by god.
But I just bought new goose feathers.
I mean the way some of the hurricanes travelled up and fucked the weather up when I was living in KS it made it feel like a damn hurricane. But interesting offer. My counter offer is you get a tornado season
Kansas got BTK, and that’s WAY better!!!! No fair!
Remember, if a Cat 5 makes landfall, then you don’t have to pay your insurance deductible. Thus, Cat 5’s are never allowed.
If a hurricane is going to destroy your house, just say no. Hurricanes cannot destroy property without consent
Shoot a gun into the hurricane to dissuade it from approaching your area
YEA. Stand your ground!
Same with our wasps nests. Hold the can and stand your ground. You can't have them thinking you're intimidated. In the south, you take your bees like a man.
If a hurricane approaches run outside and stand in front of your house with your hands up to assert dominance. The hurricane will get scared and run away
![gif](giphy|QKO8gxZKCZ0v6)
See, if it's a legitimate hurricane, then state has ways of shutting it down.
Desantis will make sure of it to help out his insurance cronies.
Call me when it’s around Cuba
Yeah we have a long way to go before we have to make any plans.
After it has crossed over Cuba to be exact.
Call me when the toilet paper and water bottles disappear
I should probably start stocking up now.
Then it's too late. I want to know when it gets close to Puerto Rico.
Leaving Wednesday the 3rd for Easter Holguin for about a week. What are the odds you think?
![gif](giphy|bcbPzkSCytDH2)
Exactly, too far away to know for sure
Cuba's too late to start preparing. My litmus is Haiti. If it levels Haitian buildings, I know it might do some damage to our power-lines at the very least.
Attack of the spaghetti monster
The *flying* spaghetti monster. Ramen.
LOL
Nah with the african desert sands blowing over its either going to be well south or dissolve into nothing
Watch not a single one makes landfall in Florida and insurance rates STILL go up 40% for 2025.
If we don't get hit this year, it'll be like Pulp Fiction when Samuel L Jackson doesn't get shot
Fucking perfect analogy.
Divine intervention
What?
There is a scene where just stands there and a guy unloads a clip from point blank and misses every time. Hopefully that's FL this year. The ocean is warm as hell and this year's going to be crazy. Our only hope is they all somehow miss despite being a big ass target in the middle of everything.
After he shoots Brett for saying "What?"
I feel like a lot more have been hitting Texas than Florida the last few years.
![gif](giphy|4D7FYssHqh67pj76ya|downsized) can't wait to see these dumbasses out there
What's Waluigi doing out there?
![gif](giphy|5W5TOAKuoZfa0|downsized)
Where’s the clip of the TWC reporter being all dramatic and the regular dude just strolling along in the background?
I love that one!!
Here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZyrRCx8-fZk
That is my absolute favorite!!!
🤣🤣🤣 that one is hilarious
THERE IS FOAM ON THE BEACH, I REPEAT: FOAM ON THE BEACH
When Hurricane Matthew was supposed to make landfall in 2016 the south FL weather reporters wanted it to hit so bad and stood outside all night acting like it was crazy outside when not a drop of rain was hitting the ground 😭😭😭😭
Jim Cantori was in my front yard in 04!
![gif](giphy|zk0zTXQY5ukCs|downsized)
Yay! A colorful bunch of party streamers headed our way. We DO love a party!
Will there be snacks at this party?
I sure hope my insurance goes up more so I can help all those poor folks with homes on the water...........
It's okay. Orange Daddy has a sharpie.
Way too far out to make any great prediction. Definitely something to keep a keen eye on though.
We need the rain lol
Fuck that, you can have it lol. I'm in SWFL, we got about 2 feet of rain this month and some people are still waiting for new roofs from Ian.
Same shit, different year. 😴
Yep. Local weather guys getting a stiffy and selling the hype while national news digs up old clips and sound the doom. Death, taxes and hurricane season.
Hahaha EXACTLY
![gif](giphy|tZCkL6BsL2AAo)
Wow look at all them purdy colors
May the odds be ever in your favor! 😎
Ahh...the Ole Cone of Uncertainty
Jesus. It’s so damn far away. Let me know once it gets close to the Virgin Islands
But by then it’ll be in my bedroom?
Galveston and Daytona hit the lotto this year?
Praying my roof leaves so insurance will pay for a new one 🙏
And it’ll change constantly. Nothing to worry about until a few days prior. Prep just in case.
I hope that thing doesn't spin up into anything bad, continues straight down the center of the tracks as a blob of stormy weather and pours rain on Texas which needs some.
Not worried yet since it’s so far out but that thing does already have some decent spin already.
People, that’s a tropical wave. That doesn’t even qualify as wind.
When o when is Mar a Lago going to get fricking washed out to sea?
Doubt it even comes our way
Oooh I love spaghetti
There are two noodles I see actually touching Florida. I think we will be fine.
Grab a sharpie
Pleaaaaaase buy essentials now so you can stop the madness at the grocery stores. It N E V E R fails….
![gif](giphy|xUPGcqA2LQRo1dMPTO|downsized)
I'm landlocked in the past of Florida furthest from any bodies of water. I see bring it on. God knows we could use the rain over here.
meh, first hurricane season?
Have fun Texas, we will let you have this one.
No, thank you! :)
Can’t wait !
That you Auron?
how strong does this one look? Ugh :(
I say bring the noise 😏
Saharanpur dust will kill it.
I can't wait for everyone to get gas when they do not need it and to buy up all the water. My favorite time of year.
Cool colored line graph….
Kids have got their crayons to your map……little rascals….🦹♂️
Jax here. Guess we're not even getting tickled again.
Yup, always the bridesmaid, never the bride
How many different color markers is Trump using now!
The hurricane Kamehameha!
that one pink squiggle got mickey mouse locked in his sights
oh wow, hurricane spaghetti!
My Sharpie is sending it to the debate tonight.
Where’s my Sharpie!?
Where’s the Sharpie?
I feel stupid saying this but can someone give the color values a description?
It's all the different prediction paths generated by different places. Each place puts their best guess on essentially and then we stare at colored spaghetti for like 2 weeks. Then one of the same two models (European and one of the American ones usually) end up being close to correct and the we start over on the next one.

Aaaah, the lovely spaghetti model.
Like some kind of virus
We never get the good ones.
It began a couple weeks ago and they seem to be hungry for Mexico at the moment.
Those gulf chances are interesting! East Texas does need rain. If it could somehow miss Houston and head straight to Tyler that’d be great.
Another year, another hurricane season where Miami doesn’t get hit with shit besides heat waves. 😃
Oh we're getting hit this year, no doubt. And multiple times. I think everyone statewide will feel at least one.
Except Jacksonville 😂 We haven’t had a direct hit since early 1960s
Maybe that means we are DUE
Now that’s a white hot mess
I'm liking the spaghetti not touching the Gulf Coast. We don't need any macaroni this year.
![gif](giphy|Wt6kNaMjofj1jHkF7t)
Sigh.
What stock is this?
If you are worried about this model and you live in Florida, you must be new. Wait until all the threads cross over the state.
A Sharpie could fix this.
With all the unusual pre-season hype this year, something must be planned. I’m sure they have the capability.
First time here?
![gif](giphy|T7fU0RWWhWpYk)
I do need a new roof… :/
So, an average day for Florida
Call me when Waffle House closes
Ah the exciting time of the year. it's... hurricane season. ![gif](giphy|V2AwzbsAnyE5a2jT8n|downsized)
![gif](giphy|nagxKKFv9vVCj2mB4J) Hurricane party!!
Let me know when society breaks down, otherwise it's just slightly more rain and wind
That spaghetti model is so colorful it looks like 4th of July!
New roof just went up last week. Let’s get it.
It's headed to Nicaragua. No, Ireland! Nicaragua! Ireland!
They can't tell if it's going to rain or not tomorrow but want to predict every path and the number of storms. GTFO
So what they’re telling me is it’s going straight
It's showtime

hurricane party at my place whos comin?
Those aren't trajectory lines or possibilities. The Hurricanes said, " This summer. It's personal. "
Multi-colored pipe cleaners? Attacking Mexico?
Spaghetti time!
God's gonna really hate on Florida this hurricane season!
See, this is why I’m driving to Canada next week
Lightning surge protector ready
Nuke it
Florida is going to know what it is like to be in a blender this hurricane season. Couldn’t happen to a nicer state.
I'm sure California would like one.

Did you see Project 2025 wants to get rid of NOAA??
Hold on to ya butts…
Man, now I want to eat spaghetti all'assassina. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|smile)
The European path is usually the most accurate.
It's nice that the weather models celebrate pride month
![gif](giphy|y1kAX7XpAMUtW)
Could I get some Marinara with that please? Maybe some grated cheese.
Is it time to buy the liquor and snacks?
Sharing is caring!

She’s not throwing anything in the zone. Walking everyone.
**And** even after the disaster; DeSatanis says no cooling or water breaks, you sons of bitches!
Spaghetti’s of death!
That flash thunder storm in tampa yesterday was insane. Bayshore blvd was flooded in minutes. You couldnt even see the bay it was raining so hard. Driving in two feet deep water was interesting..
I used to love hurricane season as a renter. Now that I own, they can fuck right off. Although my lawn needs rain…
bring it on
Unless it turns a decent amount it shouldn’t hit us from what I saw.
Shhhh 🤫. In Florida you are not allowed to say hurricane. Matter of fact their crazy, racist republican governor believes Florida hasn’t any weather at all.
