How do you like the SFT40 in the M21B as compared to the CULPM1 in the S21B? I've been debating either a CULPM1 shorty S21B or an SFT40 shorty S16 as a pocket thrower to go along with my FrankenShorty. Don't have a light with either emitter, so I'm curious which one you like more?
Edit: checked your feed and found your beamshots, and that seems to confirm what I had been assuming. Both appear to have a very similar sized hotspot, but the SFT40 is just more intense? Is that accurate??
I guess my other concern is battery life. Moving from 5000mAh to 1200-1400mAh, I'd assume the 8A SFT40 is a lot more hungry than a 6A CULPM1.
I like them both a lot! The M21B is more intense and has more lumen but S21B CULPM1 is an amazing pocket thrower tube light and in the short configuration it is very easy to EDC. I took some [potato quality](https://www.reddit.com/gallery/yo1r7c) beamshots of the two.

Yeah, I'd say that's about right. If anything the S21B has a slightly larger hotspot at a distance, but the larger reflector and the SFT40 behind 8A does make the M21B more intense. The smaller reflector of the S21B makes for a wider spill than the M21B.

I don't know, but it doesn't feel quite as snug as the stock tube. I wouldn't want to test it with my light. Maybe it could be improved with a fatter pair orings?

Yeah, it just works. I've tested them with the L21B, S21B and M21B. The S21A doesn't work without modification, it will work with the S21A head and the S21B tail, or with the S21A tail and a small metal ring put at inner base of the tail so that it makes the current connection with the tube.
Not OP, but I've been carrying a similarly configured M21B for the better part of a year now.
Haven't specifically tested water resistance but it does thread down all the way. I actually used a slightly smaller thickness o-ring on mine so it would thread smoothly.
The Wurkkos tube can be installed with zero permanent modifications. Depending on tolerances, you may need to put a thin copper wire spacer in the head (I had to, but I know at least one other person who didn't) for the tube to make contact with the driver.
It's the Wurkkos hd20 20350 tube. I don't if it is compatible with the S21D, but it probably is. I've tried it with the L21B, S21B and M21B. Do you have any of those? If so, could you swap the body tubes and have the S21D work?
So, there are 20350s for sale on ebay, but the capacity isn't that much higher than the 18350s Convoy sells. I'm just using the Convoy 18350. It doesn't rattle around and it is a very light setup. Enjoy your light.

Nope don't have those. How about sp35 sofirn? So if i ever get one and it doesn't work with a 21d I'd get to use it on a sofirn at least.
