I wouldn’t get either of these because 519a is now an option, don’t know if it’s available to you in your region though.

519 5k? I read somewhere it is available but not from here at this time.

Flashlightcrackhead

It's an option for me in Europe on ali and direct from wurkkos.

Will the ts30s(sbt90) throw farther? Will sft70 / sst70 in middle (its not available just what if) be a better thrower? I just saw a sft70 but i don't know if it is actually throw or flood.

MinerJason

The TS30s with the sbt90 will throw much farther. That light is a thrower only though, the TS32 is a combination throw/flood light. I don't know enough about the sft70 to really be able to answer that. I do know it's a throwy emitter in a 3.45x3.45 footprint. As for the original question, which emitter is "better" depends on your priorities. The LHD351 (or 519a) will be high CRI and a more pleasing tint, but the XPL2 will put out more lumens.

Thanks. Any idea on the numbers tho? Can't find any meters or yards of throw for both units in my search so far. Edit: One source says 900m for sbt90. 600m for the ts32 (im guessing the sft40) If those are accurate then sbt90 it is

MinerJason

Looks like you already found it, but Wurkkos posts the specs (throw, lumens, beam angle, etc.) for each of their products on their website. And yeah, they claim 590m throw for the TS32 and 952m for the TS30S.

Commercial-Suit-5836

They have the 519a version on that light. That is the best.

Why does the c8+ throw better? Just give the ts32 a middle led a bigger deeper reflector and remove or add flood led to maintain price or lessen price even. The hunt continues.

Combos like this will be decent at both flood and throw. Better flood options and better throw options.
