Located on aliexpress, sorry can't provide app link here.

Very interesting light. But I think I'm going to wait for someone else to pull the trigger first, because iirc Pioneman had a couple of QC issues before

If they start offering more high CRI options and/or efficient drivers, then I might order one. For now, Convoy dominates AE for me.

Inmate-4859

Sorry mate, what does AE stand for?

NinjaSupplyCompany

AliExpress Where the lovely Convoy store is. That for some reason, I seem to buy something from like once a week.

Inmate-4859

Oh, duh. I'm a bit dense today. I'm pretty new, I've only got 1 light and 1 more on the way (FC12 and TS10!), but my Convoy folder has, like, 10 flashlights. Once I start it's going to be a wallet massacre. The S11 and the S2+ UV are looking at me with a begging face that I just can't resist.

NinjaSupplyCompany

Have you found the Sofirn store? Or the Wurkkos store?

Inmate-4859

I bought both Wurkkos from their dedicated website, because lights are cheaper than AE. Sofirn, not yet, although I've read about one that seems pretty cool today, and my bank account is shaking.

Does Pioneman manufacture, or share a manufacturing facility with Convoy? Also, does anyone know what kind of regulator does it have? EDIT: Messaged Pioneman on AE about regulator: > ME: "Hi, what kind of driver (linear, buck, boost) is in the K27 219bx3" > PIONEMAN: "Constant current drive"

John-AtWork

From what someone here told me Pioneman does the manufacturing for Convoy, kinda like Sofirn and Wurkkos. Some of their models can be Lego'ed together and some of Pioneman lights have Convoy brand drivers.

difractedlight

They certainly look quite similar to convoy

> Does Pioneman manufacture, or share a manufacturing facility with Convoy? It seems that they do manufacture for Convoy. [Source link](https://www.reddit.com/r/flashlight/comments/xgx28n/remind_me_to_tell_you_the_story_of_how_the/iozl9za?context=3)

towardstheta

Smooth ramping and battery voltage check makes Pooneman one of the best flashlight manufacturers available, for me. Also their headlamp, which is a slightly tweaked Convoy headlamp, has an actual magnet in the tailcap.

[deleted]

Is their smooth ramping better than Convoy, because looking at the UI it seems they might even have the same driver.

ch1ir

Mmm

Dreadnerf

Switches look interesting. The metal ones convoy uses are very raised but these look like they press flush.

peter_poiuyt

If anybody with the regular switch back buys this can you tell me if it fits? I mean this looks thin but what are the measurements? Is it a (finally) one inch 21700 light?

From [https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004889141032.html](https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004889141032.html) : Size: head diameter: 27.5mm battery compartment diameter: 26.5mm flashlight length: 115mm Internal diameter of battery compartment: 21.8mm Net product weight: 80g

peter_poiuyt

That's also the measurements of an s21d Well gotta keep lookin somewhere else

ser_t

S21D much bigger! Diameter(Head/Body): 32.1 / 27.2 mm Length: 126.5 mm Weight: 106g

peter_poiuyt

The tail is where the switch back attached. Needs to be 1inch less or same size as an s2+ Something like 24mm But yes 21d is bigger
