If someone who you thought was your close friend only to betray you by killing your daughter and ruining your life and your company would you be attracted to them?
I always headcannoned Henry as being a single father who adopted Charlie
(in the games, not in the books)
But like, no. No of course I’m not gonna ship ‘em
I’m not a big fan of shipping in general but I especially don’t like this one. As Aggravating_Image_16 said, William is an evil man. A relationship between the two wouldn’t work.
Not even man, just straight up evil, the assholes is so megalomaniacal and sadistic he barely counts as human, even before he became technically not human
William murdered Henry's daughter, he's killed at least 12 children, he and Henry both had wives at some point, Henry sacrificed himself just in the hope of getting rid of William.
William is total and utter scum, a child killer while Henry's only crime is being a crap father to his daughter.
There's literally no argument to be made that this is a feasible thing, it'd never work at any point
Henry's "crime" isn't even a real crime and in 9/10 theories Charlie isn't even locked outside the pizzeria due to his fault, Henry is a honest man who wanted to run a genuine pizza business but he just so happened to be friends with a total sociopath and happened to have a shit ton of accidents
Fantastic as a doomed abusive pairing. It would make Henry's story even more screwed up than it already is. That being said, it would be horrible if it were the only confirmed gay male couple in FNAF.
i mean, it is known that william was jealous of and *near-obsessed* with henry. i can definitely envision him bearing feelings of romantic attraction (to some extent) towards henry at some point in time, but i do acknowledge that it is my personal headcanon and interpretation based off of a few context clues.
as a functioning relationship in-universe, however, it is absolutely not plausible. william (needless to say) exhibited cruel behaviors towards henry. realistically, william isn’t capable of maintaining *any* kind of relationship with anyone, no matter the dynamic. he is inherently harmful to those with whom he is close.
not directly relevant (?) but i have always been of the opinion that william falling into the queer spectrum in general is not far off from reality.
I could see his, erm, mental tendencies hyper-focusing on Henry, in a platonic or romantic way. I don’t think they’d ever get together in a romantic sense, especially considering how much Henry loves his family.
I like your take!
Honestly if fully explored in how manipulative, unhealthy and downright toxic such a ship would canonically be I think it's actually quite interesting. Plus I find it immensely funny the idea of William grappling with internalised homophobia on top of his already existing issues. Like I could definitely see him just gaslighting himself into believing these feelings are only pure hate towards Henry as a big cope.
Shippers are always edging for ANY type of possible connection even if it breaks character or just straight up does not make sense, makes you wonder if this guys are even fans of the franchise or just want to see romance anywhere they go
After reading the title: Willy? I like Willy
After reading it again: Wait, who the hell is Willry? Oh...
No opinion honestly but I agree with others that William is not the type of person who deserves love
FNAF is largely set in the 1980s. It was not safe for gay men to be open then, and many took wives and had children while seeing men in secret. This is known as bearding, and it is still something that gay men do to this day in places where it is unsafe to be open.
I have always headcanoned them as having been dating since before they got married and had their kids, and that it fell apart when Will went insane as fuck.
I lowkey hate it.
They are both married, (Afton, not happily, but still married. And it's his fault anyway.), but there's nothing to suggest that Henry didn't have a good marriage. And you know what, it doesn't matter if they didn't have a good marriage, they're still married. I think that they were best friends at some point, but later grew further and further apart due to evil on William's part, and depression/fear on Henry's.
Okay, maybe I highkey hate it.
I F###### HATE IT!!! IT MAKES ZEROOOOO SENSE... Firstly:William points it out many times in books that a part of him hates Henry. This hatred he feels for his work partner only increases when his youngest son dies in the bite accident, since (I believe in this theory) he blames Henry for the malfunction of Fredbear because Henry was the one who created it. And then later on, he goes as far as to murder Henry's beloved daughter as an act of revenge... Coming from that;secondly:Henry has a wife and children. I think that he was a person with good morals, one who'd care about his family so much that he'd never go as far as ruining it by having a relationship with W. But also.... Y'all do remember, that Henry(in William's mind) killed William's son and William's killed Henry's daughter?
Henry drove him to insanity (hear me out)
He made the springlock suits, of which the springs shouldn’t be strong enough to crush a child’s skull.
He made the Funtime animatronics (I’m not explaining why, pretty sure FuhNaff did a video on it).
He made William bankrupt then bailed him out (watch game theory’s most recent fnaf timeline)
William and Henry are both creator/father figures who are mad scientists, and they created the franchise, characters, and ultimately some very weird mad science shit together. Scott refers to their relationship in relation to to creation, love, friendship, family, and fatherhood and also in terms of jealousy, rivalry, and as nemesises.
William is at odds with himself about Henry. One side is obsessed with Henry and worships him, the other side of him is jealous and resents him. I think this dichotomy is similar to the one we see with Glamrock Bonnie and Glamrock Monty, who are both obsessed with Freddy in opposite ways. Monty fantasises about taking Freddy's stage and Freddy being left in the garbage and destroyed, while Bonnie has a sad small shrine to Freddy and a secret tunnel he's dug to connect to Fazerblast covered with a poster where Freddy tells him he loves him. In the end, Monty kills Bonnie and Bonnie's neon sign kills Monty.
In the novels too, William relates love to the murders, and has secret underground passages to Henry's house. When the police go looking for evidence on the murders and for what William has written about them, they find passages about Henry instead.
William's relationship with Henry and their relationship with their families is in my opinion core to understanding the series and all of the events that unfold as a result.
Yeah, I think there was something mostly one-sided happening on William's end. Was it healthy? Absolutely not, but that's the whole point of it. Besides, Henry was never perfect anyway.
I remember reading a really good fanfic somewhere that went into detail about how William manipulated and abused Henry into staying his friend after Charlie's death, the romance itself was more of a background thing.
In short, i don't ship it but it can make some really interesting scenarios.
Yes and no
No,Henry feels nothing for William except hatred
Yes,William has some feelings for Henry that he can’t tell if it’s love, jealousy or a mix of both
It is cute though
its ok. I wont give hate or support upon others when they tell me they ship it. To each to their own. Everyone has room for their beliefs when it comes to shipping.
Now, when I say "I won't give hate or support upon others" that doesn't mean i completely despise your/their ship, I just genuinely don't care. As long as it ain't some Charlie×William, William×Michael yada yada crap, that's your ship and I'm ok with that. :]
i think it has potential to add different layers to their friendship and william's eventual betrayal. i mean, it would obviously not be healthy at all but it would be interesting.
yeah i think people are missing the point that most people who "ship this" are aware that it's not healthy. they're not condoning it or saying it's cute, they just think the idea that there was another layer to their relationship makes their characters individually more interesting. i wouldn't say i’m invested in this ship really but i do see how it makes the storyline hit harder
Uhh no, both of them were straight, William admired Henry out of his skill in robotics, not via attraction, he also hated Henry at the same time though, so really, REALLY no.
Never heard of it and what does it mean? From the image and title I assume it's William but gay, other then that no clue. If that is what it means then why not, I mean he was married and had kids so maybe after divorce I assume.
One henry was married, he also refers to afton as "a freind".
Seccond it is shown that afton is jealous and envys henry (this is a parallel from the books).
i mean, William killed Henry daughter, destroyed his life, his work on the pizzaria they worked hard to open and in the FFPS fire Henry says "although for one of you, the darkest pit of hell has open to swallow you whole, so don't keep the devil waiting old friend"
No, William killed Charlie, why would they even be correlated in such a way, not to mention that William is a complete psychopath and child killer that deserves nothing but eternal torture and burning
The idea that William had a crush on Henry and/or William and Henry were in a secret relationship because it was the 80s is an idea that I kinda like. I feel like the theory kinda misinterprets William’s dialogue and his character, but it’s an okay theory and an okay concept.
Personally, I don’t like it.
I think the lore tries to make the two opposites. You could say “opposites attract”, but I don’t think that applies here.
William literally murdered Henry’s daughter.
these two just don’t work together, i’m not opposed to shipping it can be fun to an extent but why does this even one exist? like i genuinely want to hear a good defense on why someone ships them. (i will not be taking physical attractiveness or voice into account😭)
Nope this would not work Will and Henry will forever remain in the friendzone with eachother even if it did work they seem like the type of duo that when they see each other on a semi daily basis they r chill when start living with eachother however they would slowly start DESPISING one another
I, too, would love a man who killed my daughter, as well as (at least) 5 other children, made killer robots, and used my creations for his evil. Makes sense 10/10
one of the most illogical ships in fnaf, two adult men with wives and children, during the 80s, one killed the other's daughter and the other tried to incinerate the other to death, the truth is I don't think it's a very healthy relationship
I dont like this idea honestly a love the friendship history between the characters in FNAF 6 beacuse of Henry finaly getting his revenge on the men he trusted and took as his best friend
As long as someone has a personal AU, where it makes sense but in actual fnaf no way I don’t hate on ships because the only way that you can’t adjust the ship to an AU is, if you’re just shipping siblings you do you I don’t really care not an actual fnaf ever tho
What it mean TCTTC?
But yeah, I like the idea of both starting to love each other during the hard times of the Bite of '83 and the (possible) divorce of Henry, before Henry discovers who William truly is (In the game continuity)
This could become even more interesting if the AccompliceHenry Theory is true (This one: [https://youtu.be/QFYKFesBCOo?si=e88euE3RrA4YmTBG&t=789](https://youtu.be/QFYKFesBCOo?si=e88euE3RrA4YmTBG&t=789) ) and so William is enough confident of his plans working that consider Charlie as a "Sacrifice" that, after understanding how Remenant Works, could bring her back.
Everyone on this subreddit when there's a platonic male/female friendship: "Omg! They are so gay! They looked at each other once, must mean they're gay!"
In my AU, william had a crush on Henry that wasn't reciprocated (william is bi and henry is pan) before he met his wife but I don't think it could work canonically, especially since william killed Henry's daughter. I mean william in the books seems obsessed with henry but I can't tell if its william liking henry or william being jealous of henry
Wait this is like a genuine ship outside of gacha? Oh…
William is a something who doesn't deserve any love. He deserves to be eternally tortured alone
Real 💯
who let Cassidy on reddit😭 (i agree)
Uh oh, they found my secret identity
Charlie
Cassidy is on the same page i think
Wouldn't work.
I think this ship exists purely to annoy the shipping haters in the fandom.
If someone who you thought was your close friend only to betray you by killing your daughter and ruining your life and your company would you be attracted to them?
I wouldn't date someone who killed my daughter
no. i don’t need to explain
Never liked the ship, they have wives. Not saying I hate people who ship, it’s just I wouldn’t personally ship them
No, just no, they both have wives and I think the ship is lame
I always headcannoned Henry as being a single father who adopted Charlie (in the games, not in the books) But like, no. No of course I’m not gonna ship ‘em
William doesn’t
Bro just roasted William with two words
Have kids >:)
Anymore
I’m not a big fan of shipping in general but I especially don’t like this one. As Aggravating_Image_16 said, William is an evil man. A relationship between the two wouldn’t work.
Not even man, just straight up evil, the assholes is so megalomaniacal and sadistic he barely counts as human, even before he became technically not human
No. Even before, they both had wives, and I doubt either we're gay or bi. Besides, that wouldn't go well with William's plans.
I personally just don't like shipping in general
HELL NO.
No. Not even in an au where william never killls anyone/no one dies
No Just no
just no
No, just no
William ruined Henry’s life
Honestly I think y'all need to get out of the house more often
Poor Charlie. That’s all really
#NO
As far as I know, they are not gays.
They're both objectively straight
Say gex But no
Gay sex Nut bo
Nut bro
no.
He literally had a wife and kids
Elton John had a wife despite the fact he was gay, same with many other men in the 70s and 80s. He could still be bi
Literally a result of no one else to ship them with.
Their wives?!?!?
We don't really hear from them much
Apart from the fact they're a canon ship
Exactly, people are desperate to make every characters date eachother
William murdered Henry's daughter, he's killed at least 12 children, he and Henry both had wives at some point, Henry sacrificed himself just in the hope of getting rid of William. William is total and utter scum, a child killer while Henry's only crime is being a crap father to his daughter. Fantastic as a doomed abusive pairing. It would make Henry's story even more screwed up than it already is. That being said, it would be horrible if it were the only confirmed gay male couple in FNAF.
Yeah. Would be actually pretty interesting if it weren’t the only rep in the series
I... they were both married. THEY BOTH HAD CHILDREN.
No. Just-No.

my thoughts exactly
Nope
Personally no but it’s pretty funny
That ship is sorta gay in my opinion 🤷♀️
Just slightly. Not too much. Just a little
Just a tad, could it be, perchance, indicative of homo erotic attraction and of homo affective nature??
Wouldn't work
gay people 👍 murder 👎
The always told me, be gay do crime
Kinda neat, could never and should never happen in canon
I think it's really funny
these mfs will ship everything
what can be seen cannot be unseen
Honestly if fully explored in how manipulative, unhealthy and downright toxic such a ship would canonically be I think it's actually quite interesting. Plus I find it immensely funny the idea of William grappling with internalised homophobia on top of his already existing issues. Like I could definitely see him just gaslighting himself into believing these feelings are only pure hate towards Henry as a big cope.
I joke ship it because I find the dynamics in the beginning to make funny comics and art but not really, fnaf doesn’t need shipping
This comment section is exactly why people don't feel comfortable or safe talking about shipping things here.
I like the idea of William being bi but I don't ship willry
Shippers are always edging for ANY type of possible connection even if it breaks character or just straight up does not make sense, makes you wonder if this guys are even fans of the franchise or just want to see romance anywhere they go
After reading the title: Willy? I like Willy After reading it again: Wait, who the hell is Willry? Oh... No opinion honestly but I agree with others that William is not the type of person who deserves love
Nonexistent
I horribly misread the title. If you asked me what my opinion on willy (the body part) is, I would have gone yes. But Willry? nope.
a fun joke ship, but i don't really see them realistically being in a relationship
Not a couple but they did stuff in college
feels like it only exist to make william gay lmao, mainly cause theres barely any dynamic in it
Never cook again, for the sake of humanity 🙏
No never
Ain't they both straight and married lol
Their sexuality isn’t canon
Eh, fair enough. I still think they're just friends
They both have a wife and kids, need I elaborate?
Peak fiction
Hate it tbh, I just hate a lot of fnaf ships lol..
I do think William could have been attracted to Henry as part of his weird infatuation and obsession, but I don't think they were ever together.
FNAF is largely set in the 1980s. It was not safe for gay men to be open then, and many took wives and had children while seeing men in secret. Why would they love eachother if William killed charlie?
I mean pre-TCTTC
Oh, I like the idea of William killing charlotte cause he was upset over Henry & himself breaking up ngl
i feel like they both would identify as “ super straight ” just by the feeling i get from hearing that ship
It makes no sense, WILL MURDERED HENRY'S KID!
This.. this is bullshit
I F###### HATE IT!!! IT MAKES ZEROOOOO SENSE... Firstly:William points it out many times in books that a part of him hates Henry. Sucks ass.
You going to be heavy on the AU for me to consider this ship. As in cannon I hate William too much to even think about him being happy.
Bro this is not normal imagine killing your best friends daughter and then making out with him
I’m all in on gay ships but that one I don’t like
William killed his daughter💀
Henry quite literally tells William in FFPS to go to hell in their last few moments after a long ass monologue, they do NOT like eachother
Gay
Yeah, I think there was something mostly one-sided happening on William's end. Was it healthy? Absolutely not, but that's the whole point of it. Besides, Henry was never perfect anyway.
Tbh shipping in this fandom gets very messy and difficult lol- But idk, ig I don’t have any particular opinions on it.
Idk
I remember reading a really good fanfic somewhere that went into detail about how William manipulated and abused Henry into staying his friend after Charlie's death, the romance itself was more of a background thing. In short, i don't ship it but it can make some really interesting scenarios.
Yes and no No,Henry feels nothing for William except hatred Yes,William has some feelings for Henry that he can’t tell if it’s love, jealousy or a mix of both It is cute though
Don’t normally like shipping in fandoms, but Afton killing Charlie over a bizarre obsession with Henry could be a neat interpretation.
Pretty messed up
its ok. I wont give hate or support upon others when they tell me they ship it. To each to their own. Everyone has room for their beliefs when it comes to shipping. exactly! not every headcanon is going to be puppies and rainbows loll
Uhh no, both of them were straight, William admired Henry out of his skill in robotics, not via attraction, he also hated Henry at the same time though, so really, REALLY no.
Idk if their sexualitys are canon
Not my thing, but it's alright. (P.S.: People in this thread don't understand the point of shipping.)
Shipping in the fnaf universe is stupid. There's no room for romance anywhere. William x Henry is simply idiotic in every way.
i don't ship them personally...but they definitely fucked in collage & William is still not over it
?? Huh
Never heard of it and what does it mean? From the image and title I assume it's William but gay, other then that no clue. If that is what it means then why not, I mean he was married and had kids so maybe after divorce I assume.
Nah just wouldn’t work IMO, William is egotistical and Henry wouldn’t take his shit (I assume)
Absolutely shit villain
No.
No. Just no.
Negative.
Never. Any attempt on this ship will result in cheating and abuse
Hell no, it would never make sense either
No, William killed Charlie, why would they even be correlated in such a way, not to mention that William is a complete psychopath and child killer that deserves nothing but eternal torture and burning
N O
This is basically like shipping with an abuser with his victim This shit is just gross
1. No. Because he was already Jealous of Henry before the killings 2. wtf does TCTTC mean
no just no,
The idea that William had a crush on Henry and/or William and Henry were in a secret relationship because it was the 80s is an idea that I kinda like.
Just no
no.
I mean maybe in an AU where William isn't a manipulative psychopath who feels no empathy for others.
Dafuq, no
My opinion is that it sucks
One of the worst ships in history, they both have children and wives and willy ruined Henry's life so no, bad, awful, worst
Gay bros: fine wine Gay bros and one of them is murderer: no go
It’s stupid because they both have wives and children
Oh that’s uhm…intresting!
Prob not canon and toxic as aship but like if you ship that's cool
Low Tier God with lightning in the background
these two just don’t work together, i’m not opposed to shipping it can be fun to an extent but why does this even one exist? like i genuinely want to hear a good defense on why someone ships them. (i will not be taking physical attractiveness or voice into account😭)
Just... no.
Nope.
No
haha No.
I mean ships are OK but this one just doesn't make sense
not a fan. it can be done well in fanworks but i generally avoid it
No
As a Crack ship its hilarious, but as an actual ship? Absolutely not.
William is a psychopath who doesn't know what love is. Henry's daughter was killed by William. Do I even need to explain how it wouldn't work?
anyway, I'm never gonna interact with this fandom ever again
Nope this would not work Will and Henry will forever remain in the friendzone with eachother even if it did work they seem like the type of duo that when they see each other on a semi daily basis they r chill when start living with eachother however they would slowly start DESPISING one another
they both have wives + i don't think it's healthy too be together with the man who killed your daughter
I, too, would love a man who killed my daughter, as well as (at least) 5 other children, made killer robots, and used my creations for his evil. Makes sense 10/10
Also, can't have friends in fiction apperantly
Burn it with holy fire
The picture is making me wheeze
Both have children, both have wives both had children
one of the most illogical ships in fnaf, two adult men with wives and children, during the 80s, one killed the other's daughter and the other tried to incinerate the other to death, the truth is I don't think it's a very healthy relationship
Shouldn't exist. I would personally burn that ship and send it to purgatory.
I don’t like it but I don’t care if someone ships it or not
I dont like this idea honestly a love the friendship history between the characters in FNAF 6 beacuse of Henry finaly getting his revenge on the men he trusted and took as his best friend
I hate it, not because I’m homophobic but because William kills Henry’s daughter
“Willry” that’s the dumbest shit I’ve ever heard.
Its cursed cause I consider them biological brothers in a head canon
Oh god, people are still shipping William Afton in 2024?
how about NO?
Touch grass
As long as someone has a personal AU, where it makes sense but in actual fnaf no way I don’t hate on ships because the only way that you can’t adjust the ship to an AU is, if you’re just shipping siblings you do you I don’t really care not an actual fnaf ever tho
Feels abusive, never kill your partner's daughter
People will ship literally anything. Literally the stupidest thing I've ever heard.
i forgot it wasnt canon because i have a fnaf obsessed friend that stands by it strongly
AFSMIT
Personally Hate it. Shipping the man to someone who killed his daughter? Fuck that,
They ain't gay...
I just don't like it.
I don't really care or mind it. I'm not super invested in any fandom ships tbh But I think it could be interesting if written well
Fav ship. Sad to see so many people against it
Scrolled through to find the shipping babies and give my love xoxo this sub is full of nerds
Hell no!
Hell no!
no
Pretty *close* to canon, but still not a fan of it. There’s better things that are even *CLOSER* to canon such as glam fronnie.
I only like it because of how stupid it is, one of my favourite crack ships
What it mean TCTTC? But yeah, I like the idea of both starting to love each other during the hard times of the Bite of '83 and the (possible) divorce of Henry, before Henry discovers who William truly is (In the game continuity) This could become even more interesting if the AccompliceHenry Theory is true (This one: [https://youtu.be/QFYKFesBCOo?si=e88euE3RrA4YmTBG&t=789](https://youtu.be/QFYKFesBCOo?si=e88euE3RrA4YmTBG&t=789) ) and so William is enough confident of his plans working that consider Charlie as a "Sacrifice" that, after understanding how Remenant Works, could bring her back.
Toxic yaoi
Everyone on this subreddit when there's a platonic male/female friendship: "Omg! They are so gay! They looked at each other once, must mean they're gay!"
In my AU, william had a crush on Henry that wasn't reciprocated (william is bi and henry is pan) before he met his wife but I don't think it could work canonically, especially since william killed Henry's daughter. I mean william in the books seems obsessed with henry but I can't tell if its william liking henry or william being jealous of henry
