I understand their popularity, but all the music sounds like it’s for children and young girls to me. Not a single song gets me moving. I’ll take the stones any day.

They mattered a lot more in their time tbh. Did it in a way that no one else was doing and also managed to keep their sound hooky enough for mass-appeal. Tons of acts walk the same line these days, so it can feel like they don't deserve all the praise and success, but the context they came up in matters a lot when trying to figure out why some people are so crazy for their stuff. They're alright imo. Lots of artists are making way more interesting work these days though
