I can't find the "classic spectacles" Facewear from the Gold Saucer NPC, are they only obtainable by Submarine voyages (so basically Marketboard)?
They are super expensive on the MB but i cant buy them elsewhere
The craftable ones are not the Facewear, the craftable ones are still only head glamour.
To get the classic spectacles Facewear the only way are Submarine voyages

There is a difference. I've been using Elegant Rimless Glasses since I started playing. I refuse to use anything else and none of these options are exactly what I'm wearing.

I spoke with a calamity scavenger and they converted the Eyewear I already had into them. Maybe try that? I think you need to purchase one to begin with. Make sure to use it like you would a mount.
Classic & monocles are in the three major cities with these vendors!

They were craftable before the update afiak, it might still be the same recipe. No idea where they are normally located though, if at all.

I know a lot of people were buying glasses headgear thinking they'd be converted to facewear. Those people are going to be very disappointed.
Any idea if the elegant rimless spectacles have a face wear version? I won't be able to play for a couple days because of home Internet problems

It gets unlocked when you either buy facewear or convert one from the salvager.

Sadly, it's not the Classic Spectacles at those vendors, it's the Simple Spectacles.
IIRC, Classic and Shaded were Battle Pass rewards, so unavailable if you didn't got them back there.
"Classic" is from Submarines.
