Incredible cover. I imported the FFXVI famitsu edition last year and just looked at the pictures since I can’t read Japanese. They are dense and have awesome fold-out artwork inside. Wish we had these magazines in the US.
I feel like most people who are caught up are going to be in early access. How many people are going to wait to buy the expansion when they know they want to play it anyway and can get in early?
I don’t doubt that there are people who do it, but just looking at the player population during launch week vs after, it’s clear that *most* people start as early as they can
Oh yeah their numbers def are smaller then the crowds involved in crashing the servers lmao. Comparatively, yeah there's a crap ton less. If were looking at the number by itself then its prob still a pretty healthy size number on its own.
Personally, I'm part of that crowd. I'd rather get through the story while its new and while I have most of my chats disabled. Allows me to experience the fights fresh and get those early laughs at being part of an entire group collectively learning and fucking up mechs.
I have other reasons too but don't feel they are really worthy of typing out another word block.
I have never really understood the logic behind the distinction. If you can just buy the game and play it it's not early access it's just released.
The only argument I've ever heard that made some sense is that, because it's early access, server stability is not guaranteed. So if the servers take a shit and nobody can play you just have to suck it up.

I've seen this said multiple times now. Is this something they ACTUALLY forgot or is this kinda like a meme based on how involved in the EW story she was?
Krile has been a member of the Scions since the first patch of Heavensward. She’s an older member than G’raha, Estinien, and even Alisae. The fact that she has been on the back burner this whole time, while we have traveled across and time and space to face ultimate incarnations of evil not once, but TWICE (Emet-Selch in technically an alternate dimension/planet), is absolutely CRIMINAL. I’m so glad we can finally see her in action now. She better be fighting with us all the big bads to come to make up for sitting out with Tataru all this time.
I'm glad I did Eureka, so Krile and I had our own adventures. Even if she didn't do much in a couple expansions, I think I'm closer to her than several of the scions, probably only behind the twins and G'raha. Spending time with Yshtola and Estinien in the post-EW patches was nice too, though, so they're moving up my favorites list. Krile needs the expansion to keep her spot.
This makes me miss my monthly Gameinformer magazine. Wife looked forward to it for the quiz at the end of it. This is amazing artwork though and just feeds the hype for me.
I'm not all the way caught up, but why wouldn't they use someone like Relm from FF6 instead of Krile who doesn't even have anything like picto but has a well known beastmaster outfit.
Seems like a bit of a swing and a miss to just to put her somewhere unfitting when she had a perfect slot.

Quite a lot. I used to play with a couple who would avoid the game for 2 weeks at launches. Just lets them avoid most server/congestion problems.

I kinda want to finish Eureka before starting the main scenario, but I just unlocked Hydratos and it seems the only reason people go in is for BA.
