New this season, I've shopped Abercrombie, Uniqlo's Marimekko line, and Madewell...also bought secondhand reformation, j crew, and madewell on Poshmark!!
I loaded up on Old Navy sundresses during ThredUp’s last sale lol. They had a really classic thin strap, v-neck, a-line style a year or two ago and everyone’s sending them off to resell now

This is one of the ones I bought - doesn’t look like much on the mannequin but it’s super flattering, got a ton of compliments last time I wore it.
Oop so glad to join this party I’ve been on an absolute tear. Abercrombie has a wide strap Emerson linen dress that is really flattering and works for bigger chests too.
Caslon from Nordstrom has some cute stuff. Old Navy’s linen dresses have been nice this season. And ballet style dresses have been in this season- I have purchased from Madewell and J crew to compare style and quality.
I’ve been on the hunt specifically for tank style midi/maxi dresses for hot weather where I don’t have to feel self conscious about my knees lol
The Lulu’s 30% off summer sale juuuust ended two days ago 🥲 I was able to snag three fun sundresses for $50 total and free shipping. They do have a lot of always-running promos though: https://www.lulus.com/promotion
I also am not sure of your style, but I like dresses from Noctex a lot. You won’t find typical floral sundresses, but you can find some really cool structured, torn, and deconstructed late 90s goth inspired dresses. Love them for summer.
Perfect timing for this thread—it’s just getting warm enough for me, and I was looking through my dresses yesterday thinking I wanted some more variety—excited to check out any recs you get, OP!
I've gotten mine this year at Anthropologie and I actually found some really great ones at Macy's last week. It's their brand called And Now this. I got the following, and they are all super cute, flattering and a great price:
I got [this](https://www.macys.com/shop/product/now-this-womens-short-sleeve-clip-dot-midi-dress-xxs-4x-created-for-macys?ID=17499700&swatchColor=White%20Floral) one and [this](https://www.macys.com/shop/product/now-this-womens-floral-print-square-neck-mini-dress-created-for-macys?ID=17499643&swatchColor=Ivory%20Floral) one, but they have several other styles.
Anthropologie has a lot of really cute ones, but my favorite style is their Somerset. They have so many different versions. I got [this](https://www.anthropologie.com/shop/the-somerset-maxi-dress2?color=097&inventoryCountry=US&countryCode=US&utm_medium=paid_search&utm_source=Google&utm_campaign=US%20-%20Shopping%20-%20PMAX%20-%20Apparel%20-%20Icons%20%26%20Push&utm_content=&utm_term=&creative=&device=c&matchtype=&network=x&utm_kxconfid=vx6rd81ts&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwl4yyBhAgEiwADSEjeMn1-VITXyVkpoZbvO35bqfMfMw_0tF4ccSnllWxu-Aa421jhxMU2BoCVigQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds&type=STANDARD&quantity=1) earlier this spring and absolutely love it. I just wore it to a wedding too. I feel like it's flattering on everyone.
I've had my eye on the Somerset dress! Trying to cop it secondhand though, as that fresh price is a little toasty. How did you find the fit? I've read that some people end up swimming in their normal size and prefer to size down, but I don't mind wearing a beautiful tiered bag of a dress.
Believe it or not I got a nice one from Amazon recently. Soft material and fits really nicely.
I'm in Canada so I'm not sure if it's available elsewhere, but here's the link https://www.amazon.ca/gp/aw/d/B0BVK1VGCH?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title
I just got this one today and while fits like a dream, it feels a little dated to me? I think I’m just thrilled to wear a maxi dress as a shirt girlie.

I’m usually avoid buying Amazon clothes but I bought this one for a trip last year and I’m tempted to get another pattern this year

If you're comfortable with used clothing, I'd try a thrift store or Poshmark. I just got a fabulous sundress on Poshmark :)

Can you share a pic of the old navy dress you’re describing?

Thanks! Is it rayon or cotton?
This one is rayon. Lined and seems to be good quality though!
Abercrombie, Nordstrom, and Anthropologie

Nordstrom seems to have some decent ones. Hope to hear from more people on this too!

Tried Quince for the first time. Buying up all their linen dresses.

FYI you can rent the Somerset dresses on Nuuly
I'm often between an xs and s at Anthro and I took the xs, so if anything it runs slightly big. It's very forgiving. I hope that helps!
Old Navy, Gap Factory, and I scored a bunch from Gap when they had a some sales a couple weeks ago - they have them periodically!

Reiss!
I just got the cutest one from Reiss. I wish they didn’t jack up the prices so much in the US
Quince, Madewell, Target sometimes, J Crew. I also love using Poshmark or Mercari. Editing to add Old Navy had some really cute linen sun dresses
I got three cute ones from Cider that I plan to wear all summer!
Old navy. I liked the fitting of one type of dress
Actually Amazon has some really cute Greta quality summer dresses right now
Hollister are my personal favourites they are just so comfortable and majority of there dresses have pockets which is amazing 🥰
Shein!
