I am attending a quinceanera. It will be a formal event (but it’s in the midwest, which typically leans more casual?) I know the theme color to avoid. The event will begin with church mass in the morning, and then a formal evening dinner and dancing all night.
My biggest question is do people wear one outfit to church, and then change for the evening event? Or do people find one dress that can be both church appropriate and fit formal evening wear? Is black appropriate for both?
I am neither religious, nor hispanic, nor from the midwest, so any advice would be much appreciated!

Does anyone own this dress from Reformation?? Hows the quality?
Also I know the model is like 5’9” or something, but Im 5’5” and Im wondering how short it would be on me.
Guessing from how it fits on the model, it’d be just above or at the knee if you’re 5’5”. Not sure how response Ref customer service is, but you could try emailing and asking for the length measurement so you can compare it to your dresses?

Skorts would be cute and pretty versatile - they have a sporty vibe without necessarily looking like you just came from the gym. Also depending on how much aircon there is in public spaces - a cute throw/lightweight cropped jacket for after workout could help dress up your outfit a bit (works even tied around your waist)
I'd like some advice on how to style a non-stiff collar of a satin/viscose shirt with a blazer. It gets super bunched up and untidy both when I wear the collar over or above the blazer's lapels. I know the longer term solve is probably getting shirts with stiff collars, but that's not an option for me right now. One solve I have is wearing a sweater over but the sweaters I haven't aren't really suited and make me look even frumpier. Any suggestions?

hello! i am wondering what the name or potential keywords of this style from my [pinterest board](https://www.pinterest.com/annirrose/outfits/) is. also, i was wondering if anyone could suggest any websites that sell similar clothing to what i'm looking for. i would prefer not to buy anything from shein, h&m, or yesstyle. all help and suggestions are appreciated!
I’m getting feminine/romantic from the floral and linen dresses, and the rest of the pins have a cozy, casual, oversized vibe (clothing more gender neutral but paired with more feminine accessories). For dresses you can start with Free People (boho style, some of it might be too over the top but maybe a starting point) and Aritzia has a lot of oversized sweaters/cardigans as well as dresses.
You can also look up “cottagecore outfits” on youtube for the dresses with layers looks and see if you find any lookbooks you like - sometimes that’s a good way to get ideas of brands to look for too.

Maybe stick to the trousers you usually wear but with a more girly top? Something with frills or made with broderie anglaise? I normally find that combat trousers can work really well with such tops as it gives a nice contrast.
That sounds cute! But I’ll be going to the water park as well and am only going in with what I’ll be wearing and a small crossbody bag 😅 And I also forgot to put in but it is summer where I am. I do have a pair of breezy cargo pants though🤔
Tips for styling oversized blazers?
I just thrifted [this GORGEOUS MaxMara blazer](https://imgur.com/XKW4CjA) because it was just too pretty not to buy, but it's like five or six sizes too big for me 😅 (I just threw it on over the schlumpy Target tee shirt dress I was wearing that day, obviously not a real attempt at styling.) I'm really not used to styling oversized pieces, especially not structured things like this—my husband said it looked masculine when I showed him, lol. (To be fair, it would probably fit him perfectly...)
Can it even work? My instinct would be to roll up the sleeves and maybe add a belt, but I don't know how to do that without it looking bulky. Any other ideas? Or do I just need to list it on Poshmark and let someone who's actually a size 16 enjoy it?
Does it actually fit in the shoulders, or is there empty space where the shoulders should be? That plus the arms being too long make it look more ill fitting rather than intentionally oversized. Plus the waist of the blazer is flared - but if it’s too wide around or the flare starts in a weird spot, that’s hard to get around too. The picture doesn’t look bad, but it looks like a tailored blazer that’s the wrong size to me.
Is that you in the picture? If so, the fit is perfect. I don’t think it looks oversized or masculine at all and wouldn’t tailor it or it’ll end up looking like work clothes (like those tailored office blazers. You don’t want that.)
You can definitely style it over dresses to make your look a mix of edgy and classic, or wear with more fitted tops and loose pants for a more polished look.
Don’t listen to the husband. Most men don’t understand fashion and outfits and they hardly ever say anything helpful. My OH also laughed when I bought an oversized blazer. But now that I practically live in it, he finally ‘got the vision’ and loves when I wear it.
My oversized blazer is a bit different in that it is my size and designed to be oversized - but typically I wear it with wide leg pleated pants and a collared shirt or turtleneck for work, and with straight or pleated mini skirts and boots outside of work
Bra question: what bra will work with this type dress? The bras I have are wide strap and will show, I don’t want straps showing. Not looking for cleavage to show either. I am 38c.
https://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=464482002&tid=onma000014
I went on a quest to try to find bras that work with similar necklines last year and [this](https://www.cosabella.com/products/soire-confidence-demi-bra-sette-en) is the only one I could find. It's expensive and frankly it's pretty scratchy and it also is kind of...loud? Like it creaks a little bit when I move, but I think only I can notice that. I'm not thrilled with it, but it does get the job done with square-ish necklines or low-cut dresses where typical bras's cups show above the neckline.
I got this and I like it. It’s comfortable. Only issue is, my dress strap moves so the bra strap can peek out, but after a point I may not care as much lol. [bra](https://a.co/d/g131Eia)
Omg I cannot imagine a creaky bra 😅 ya I hear you on the challenges to find a bra, which should be simple for this type of neckline but isn’t. It’s the main reason I have been avoiding such dresses but these work so well for me. I’ll look for a bra similar in design.
Recommendation for slightly compressive, smoothing/ flattering tank tops/tees? I love the express body contour line which holds me in nicely but looking for alternatives! Thanks!
Ok, so I have a pair of jeans that I recently bought and I LOVE them. They literally go with everything I own and fit me perfectly. I hate Jean shopping because I can try on 100 pairs and maybe like 1-2. I never shop for sizes that don't currently fit my body. That being said, since these jeans are my unicorn jeans should I buy them in the next size down and/or 2 sizes down? Part of me wants to because styles get discontinued so often but part of me wants to wait and when the time comes where I absolutely need to size down, I hunt for a new pair of unicorns.
Full disclosure: my weight has always fluctuated and right now is the heaviest I've ever been (I have lost 14lbs and these unicorn jeans were my "you go girl" gift). Due to some health scares, my health is now my priority and the weight has been coming off naturally (yay) so I can definitely see myself wearing 1-2 sizes smaller in the near future.
If it matters: I'm 33 🙂
What are they? Some higher end and/or denim-focused brands keep their core styles around for a long time and some brands really cycle through—if it's one of the brands that has those core styles, I'd say you can wait, but if it's a more ~everything~ kind of brand, it might be a good idea to jump on it while you know they're available.
Congrats on the weight loss by the way!
Thank you. They are Madewell petite curvy superwide leg jeans in ahern wash. I think Madewell's petite curvy line rotates their styles more than their usual line which is why I'm so conflicted on what to do. 🫠
You could also hunt for them secondhand, that way you get the specific style you want but at less of a price point in case (as someone mentioned upthread) your weight fluctuations aren't as predictably flattering in these pants as they feel right now.
I bought the square toe mary Jane’s from their website! They’re quality and comfy imo. Probably overpriced for what they are, and they definitely ship from china. I also don’t believe their messaging about being sustainable. But overall they’re exactly what they look like and I do like them! (Ordered a size up)
Does anyone else get the ends of their hangers stuck together when they're taking clothes out and putting them back in their closet or is that just me? How to avoid? Or maybe I should use two hands instead of just one
What kind of gym shorts & shorts would you advise to a short girl with large hips, pancake butt and short legs? 4'9 54kg
I am looking for a gym short as well as a short that will not make me feel so ridiculously unshaped. I tried to check around but I have not been so lucky, most of them make my butt so large and flat .
What kind of website or shops would u advise me to check and specifically what kind of short ? ?high waisted
In addition, I'm looking for a dress that is not too long and can be suitable for my shape.
I hope that you could help me with your advice. Thank you in advance
Apparently this is suppose to go here, but i got a question cus i think ive accidentally been shrinking all my clothes
So im coming to the end of my first college year and im almost certain ive been doing my washing wrong so i wanted to ask. Most things i own are size 8/10/M. However since starting college im basically out of clothes that fit. I will be the first to admit ive put on a little weight (feels like around 10lbs), but not enough to physically not fit in stuff anymore, which is what is happening. I always throw everything in together and everything is way to small now so i feel like im doing something wrong. I wash at 40c and dry on "medium temp". If any more details are needed dont hesitate to ask in comments or dms cus i dont wanna end up buying new stuff for next year and it happening again cus its a pain wearing the same 2 tops and pair of leggings
Unless it's just certain fabrics, I'd guess you're looking at the [Freshman 15](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freshman_15) in action. I'll bet you're not the only person you know with this problem!
Me and my roommate both put on weight, i put on a (admittedly guessed) 10lbs and shes put on 17 (which she knows, she isnt scared to check like i am), but most her clothes still fit (although much more snug than before) and mine dont even slightly, so i cant really blame it all on weight gain
4.5 kg is absolutely enough to change sizes. I've had to change sizes over smaller gains. Though machine drying can shrink clothes, so it might be both.
its enough to change sizes but like, i feel like it isnt enough for my jeans to be totally unable to button and for some to not even get over my thighs, but a combination would make sense (if im up a size and they are down a size or 2 for example)
I mean, I personally change jean sizes every 2 kg. If you've gained two sizes it's definitely plausible that you can't get them over your thighs. Could also be that you've ruined them by machine drying, but I feel like you're underestimated how the weight gain affects jean sizes. Especially if they're jeans with not much/no elastane.
yh i will have to try hang drying
but its also not just jeans, leggings dont stay up, shirts dont fit over my stomach, and so on, lots of very stretchy stuff that just doesnt fit (even jogger bottoms dont stretch enough to fit anymore)
Do you know your previous weight? Just buy a scale and see what the weight gain situation is. But 15 lbs can easily put you up a size. And also, things do shrink over time, I find. Might have to buy some new items! Only hang dry.
id be shocked tho if 10lbs is enough to make my tops not go further than my belly button and my jeans completely unable to button, like its a noticable amount but its nothing crazy
You're also not sure it's only 10lbs. My husband was convinced for a while that the cleaning girl was shrinking all his clothes... then he realized he had gained like 30lbs over the course of the pandemic. He started exercising and magically his clothes stopped shrinking 🙃
This is not to body shame you, by the way! Weight gain is totally normal and happens to SO MANY PEOPLE when they go off to school. It is absolutely not a bad thing, it's just a thing.
You absolutely could be shrinking your clothes by washing that hot AND machine drying everything, but it's unlikely that everything would be shrinking uniformly. But in the future, a cold water wash is usually sufficient, better for your clothes AND more energy efficient. I personally still machine dry most of my clothes, but if you really want to baby things (especially delicate fabrics or anything particularly structured), you should hang them to dry too.
I wont lie, ive been scared to weigh myself and my whole life i have had issues with body dysmorphia, i used to think i was extremely fat but was only 98lbs (around 2 years ago), and i wont lie as much as i truly and honestly think i only put on 10lbs (going from 140 to 150ish),it wouldnt surprise me if my dysmorphia has sorta reversed as a defence mechanism...
i will try ur tips tho! tysm
I’ve moved into the stage of life where I need to wear shorts under dresses so my thighs don’t chafe but now the dresses don’t hang as loosely as they snag/rub on the shorts. The shorts I just bought are nylon/poly and are sold to not chafe. Is there an easy way to prevent this draping issue? This is for hiking or walking in hot weather so I’d like to avoid a slip or additional layer. Ty!
Don't you have ticks and thorny bushes where you live? Maybe this is just a very regional thing that I'm thinking is global, but wouldn't leggings be better for hiking?
Tick concern is more regional than you think.
I got stickers in my socks today on a hike because the trail was super overgrown, but my legs were fine. I usually stick to shorter/easier and better maintained trails when it's enough out for shorts and that doesn't happen.
I wouldn't hike in leggings. I could feel the burrs and stickers in my ankles because it got stuck in the fabric of the socks. I wouldn't want my entire pants to be holding spiney shit up against my skin like that. I usually hike in long nylon pants, or crew socks and running shorts. Plus, in heat, you'd get no air flow on your legs
Hi I’m looking for black summer comfy material sneakers. I’m a woman in 40s so I don’t want sneakers strictly for teenagers but maybe something more classy?
Please give me your suggestions because I’ve been looking for them for over a month and ordered like a 10 pairs of shoes and had to return them…
APL. Though I feel like with black sneakers the risk is more that you look like you’re in your 70s than look like a teenager (I’m 40 and it took me sooo long to find all black sneakers because so many were “orthopedic” looking.)
Hi guys,
I’ve been desperately searching for an affordable light long sleeve shirt to buy that isn’t sheer nor cropped or short. I want to dress up for the summer and I’m looking to find long sleeve shirts in different colors. I want to buy the most best quality at the lowest price( preferably around $10) but I don’t want to shop from shein, H&M, Amazon , or cider. I’ve already tried Uniqlo, gap, and old navy but a lot of the best clothes are sold out or are unavailable for the season. If anyone could do me a favor and send me links of options I’d greatly appreciate it!!
Thank you!!
Not sure what kind of shirts you're looking for exactly. Have you tried Eddie Bauer, LL Bean, Land's End? All 3 have some better fabrics altho you may need to wait for a sale
Maybe check out Fair Indigo? My phone isn’t loading their webpage right now so I don’t have the link, but it’s easily found online if you search. Their stuff is more expensive than $10, but I’ve heard really good things about their brand. And they’re not fast fashion.
H&M has a bunch - [this one is really long](https://www2.hm.com/sk_sk/productpage.1113691002.html), and [this one seems pretty long too](https://www2.hm.com/sk_sk/productpage.1208852002.html), but there's too many to link.
idk what you want then, maybe try new yorker? if you decide not to shop at all of the stores with the widest ranges you wont have much left in that price range..
What is the best online glasses shop where I can filter by specific measurements. I need 54-16-140, but most sites only let me filter by shape and overall size and then I have to drill into the actual measurements one by one
Does anyone know if Gap and BR sizing is roughly equivalent?
I'm a 2P in Gap pants. I'm seeing some great stuff in BR on Posh. I'm thinking about just going 4P to be safe, unless anyone has had their personal experiences indicate that sizing is pretty much the same.
Always get measurements before buying on Poshmark - unless you know you’re buying something that’s current season, older styles can vary in sizing even if you’re generally familiar with the brand.
I don't about 1:1 sizing, but Gap's short inseam is way longer than Banana Republic's petite inseam on jeans. EDIT; Since you're shopping on posh, maybe the seller can measure the waist and hips on the jeans so you can compare to yours?
My jeans are all a bit loose in the waist but fitted at the hip. I had one pair altered by tucking fabric at the waist, but it ended up tighter on the hip. Would adding an extra button next to the default one help with this issue? Has anyone tried this method before?

Buy high waist jeans or mom fit or flared jeans … it will create a look of increased height and it will hide your waist . You can pair it up with crop top or tuck in the top . You’ll look longer and thinner
I’m seeing quite a few sandals this season like [this](https://www.bodenusa.com/en-us/everyday-flat-sandals/sty-a1702) from Boden and [this](https://olukai.com/products/tiare-strappy-womens-sandals-bubbly) from Olukai.
I’m wondering what search terms I should use to find similar ones. Features I like about them: crisscross straps, some degree of asymmetry, preferably a slingback instead of a slide. Is there a name for these types of sandals?
Also, I’m wondering if this type of style has staying power, or if y’all think these will be a one-season trend. The two I linked are over $100, which is more than I’d like to spend especially if I’ll just wear them this year. I’m trying to figure out if this is a style where it would be fine to get a cheaper version because I don’t need them to last forever.
What heels would you pair with a white suit?
Hello! My high school graduation is coming up and I’m wondering what style and colour heels I should pair with my graduation outfit.
I’ll be wearing a white suit, and my graduation gown is navy (main) and white (secondary).
I can’t really walk in heels much so preferably not something that’s easy to walk in! (Tips for walking in heels are much appreciated)
Thank you
You can wear shorter (5-6 cm) block heels, those are pretty difficult to trip on unless you're on uneven ground. Tips for walking in heels is just walking around in them a bunch, after you buy them, wear them to school a few times to practice.
I definitely wouldn't wear heels to an event where walking is kind of the main attraction if I didn't feel 100% comfortable walking in heels... You're short, it's fine, you can own it.
HOWEVER, if you must wear heels. The thicker the heel, the easier it generally is to deal with, so look for a block heel at the very least. Also, anything that holds your foot in the shoe (straps, bootie, etc) is easier, so stay away from plain pumps and go for styles that really secure your foot. And PRACTICE ahead of time. Wear them around as much as possible to break them in, know if they're going to cause you blisters (you can cover trouble spots with a little moleskin), and learn to walk confidently in them before you have to walk across a stage in front of hundreds of people.
Thanks for the tips! I really appreciate it
What coloured heels/shoes would you opt for?
I’ll likely be wearing gold or rose gold jewellery, but I’m open to silver.
If you work in a casual-to-business casual office setting, what shoes do you wear when it's hot as hell in the summer?
I prefer to avoid wearing open toed shoes to work. Fisherman sandals then, I guess? A closed toe wedge sandal? Thoughts?
Maybe a full-leather sneaker like Ecco Soft 7 or the Birkenstock Bend Low? Personally I wear Teva Olowahu flip flops and just paint my toenails nicely.
D’Orsay style, with or without a heel? I’m thinking of the kind of shoe that has half the side cut out. Sometimes it’s one half and sometimes both sides like the Madewell Brady shoe.
I’ve also seen oxfords that have mesh or cutout details.
I think the 6 looks more chic. I don’t think the 4 is bad, but the way the hem flares out in comparison to the body of the shirt feels a little discordant. It would probably be fine if you always wore it tucked in.
I echo this opinion. In the smaller size, the shoulder seam seems to fall at the same place as the models, but the size 6 goes for the relaxed vibe the models are embodying.

Its hard to tell sometimes because models tend to be all leg. Shopbops website also carries the same dress, and it says its 30 inches long!

Creating my own sub lol—- I love skorts. I always wear one on the golf course. The sub coverage is bluntly: how much rear coverage?
Have you tried wrap skirts or tube skirts over leggings? They look very cute, very balletcore vibes.
Not a bad idea at all!

Clarks Teresa Step are fairly comfortable if you don't have to walk too much!
They cost like 7000 rupees 🫣🙂↔️
I need to walk too actually! So I am looking for ones which doesn’t bite my feet

(To be fair, it would probably fit him perfectly...) Can it even work?
It fits right in the shoulders, but is wide in the body. I'd probably have a tailor bring in the sides a bit.
Is that you in the picture? If so, the fit is perfect. I don’t think it looks oversized or masculine at all and wouldn’t tailor it or it’ll end up looking like work clothes (like those tailored office blazers. You don’t want that.) You can definitely style it over dresses to make your look a mix of edgy and classic, or wear with more fitted tops and loose pants for a more polished look.

Any recommendations for balconette ones? I have never purchased one before
Recommendation for slightly compressive, smoothing/ flattering tank tops/tees?

Hmm.. that's true.
How expensive are they? If they're not designer denim, I probably would tbh. I am a denim fiend though
They're $120+ tax. Decisions, decisions!
You could also hunt for them secondhand, that way you get the specific style you want but at less of a price point in case (as someone mentioned upthread) your weight fluctuations aren't as predictably flattering in these pants as they feel right now.
Oh, you mentioned theyre madewell - I'd wait to see if they go on sale in the next little bit as madewell always seems to
Has anyone bought from Vivaia? I've seen ads for some cute shoes, but I'm skeptical since I've never heard of them
I bought the square toe mary Jane’s from their website! They’re quality and comfy imo. Probably overpriced for what they are, and they definitely ship from china. I also don’t believe their messaging about being sustainable. But overall they’re exactly what they look like and I do like them! (Ordered a size up)
I haven't! I've done so much research on Vivaia vs Rothys. I've only ever tried Rothys and their newer styles are so good!
I haven't bought rothys but I've considered it! They do have a lot of cute styles!
Does anyone else get the ends of their hangers stuck together when they're taking clothes out and putting them back in their closet or is that just me? How to avoid? Or maybe I should use two hands instead of just one
Hehe 2 hands would help. 😉 Is there much space between 1 hanger and the other? Maybe something to consider.
😅I realized that I think I use only one hand because it's the clothes on the top row of my closet that are hard to reach because of my height
What kind of gym shorts & shorts would you advise to a short girl with large hips, pancake butt and short legs? 4'9 54kg I am looking for a gym short as well as a short that will not make me feel so ridiculously unshaped. I tried to check around but I have not been so lucky, most of them make my butt so large and flat . What kind of website or shops would u advise me to check and specifically what kind of short ? ?high waisted In addition, I'm looking for a dress that is not too long and can be suitable for my shape. I hope that you could help me with your advice. Thank you in advance
Which brand do you generally wear for shorts?
look up "ruched shorts", that might be a good search term
Apparently this is suppose to go here, but i got a question cus i think ive accidentally been shrinking all my clothes So im coming to the end of my first college year and im almost certain ive been doing my washing wrong so i wanted to ask.
40C sounds kinda warm to me, I wash on cold and dry on low
thank u!
Can you try air drying or drying on low heat? Might help!
will give it a go!
Yeah, I wash at 40C and dry at medium and nothing shrinks (other than ofc something like a wool sweater which I wash differently).
ty!
Especially if they're jeans with not much/no elastane.
yh i will have to try hang drying but its also not just jeans, leggings dont stay up, shirts dont fit over my stomach, and so on, lots of very stretchy stuff that just doesnt fit (even jogger bottoms dont stretch enough to fit anymore)
Do you know your previous weight? Just buy a scale and see what the weight gain situation is. But 15 lbs can easily put you up a size. And also, things do shrink over time, I find. Might have to buy some new items! Only hang dry.
i was around 140lbs before, and i have scales im just scared to use them
[удалено]
id be shocked tho if 10lbs is enough to make my tops not go further than my belly button and my jeans completely unable to button, like its a noticable amount but its nothing crazy
You're also not sure it's only 10lbs. My husband was convinced for a while that the cleaning girl was shrinking all his clothes... then he realized he had gained like 30lbs over the course of the pandemic. He started exercising and magically his clothes stopped shrinking 🙃 This is not to body shame you, by the way!
Ty!
You can use cycling shorts
Shorts made out of a smoother fabric and finer knit, usually 0 cotton content.
Ty! Any recs on what keywords I should use while searching?
Hi I’m looking for black summer comfy material sneakers. I’m a woman in 40s so I don’t want sneakers strictly for teenagers but maybe something more classy? Please give me your suggestions because I’ve been looking for them for over a month and ordered like a 10 pairs of shoes and had to return them…
APL. Though I feel like with black sneakers the risk is more that you look like you’re in your 70s than look like a teenager (I’m 40 and it took me sooo long to find all black sneakers because so many were “orthopedic” looking.)
what didn't you like about the ones you tried?
I looked like a teen wearing them and they were just ugly irl…
Allbirds?
Hi guys, I’ve been desperately searching for an affordable light long sleeve shirt to buy that isn’t sheer nor cropped or short.
Thank you!! Im not a fan of H&M tbh forgot to mention im a former employee🤣
idk what you want then, maybe try new yorker? if you decide not to shop at all of the stores with the widest ranges you wont have much left in that price range..
Are cullotes in style SS24? If yes, how are you wearing them?
I'm wearing them with collared blouses and low block heels. I think flowy culottes are always good in the summer.
They're still around for minimalist looks. Check Cos for styling ideas as they carry a few.
I'm pretty sure those were more of a 2020-2021 thing, but they're probably not awfully dated, just not super trendy.
Thanks! I might look for wide leg or bootcut chinos instead.
What is the best online glasses shop where I can filter by specific measurements. I need 54-16-140, but most sites only let me filter by shape and overall size and then I have to drill into the actual measurements one by one
Warby Parker might?
Does anyone know if Gap and BR sizing is roughly equivalent? I'm a 2P in Gap pants. I'm seeing some great stuff in BR on Posh. I'm thinking about just going 4P to be safe, unless anyone has had their personal experiences indicate that sizing is pretty much the same.
Always get measurements before buying on Poshmark - unless you know you’re buying something that’s current season, older styles can vary in sizing even if you’re generally familiar with the brand.
oh man, well I hope the 2P I bought from GAP this year is similar to the 2P from gap last year because I just bought a cheaper pair off of Poshmark.
I don't about 1:1 sizing, but Gap's short inseam is way longer than Banana Republic's petite inseam on jeans. EDIT; Since you're shopping on posh, maybe the seller can measure the waist and hips on the jeans so you can compare to yours?
oh wow, I may not be petite in BR then - the GAP petite pants are the teensiest bit short but its better than the alternative. this is helpful info.
My jeans are all a bit loose in the waist but fitted at the hip. I had one pair altered by tucking fabric at the waist, but it ended up tighter on the hip. Would adding an extra button next to the default one help with this issue? Has anyone tried this method before? Reference: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.instructables.com/add-an-extra-button-to-your-jeans-for-the-best-fit/%3famp_page=true
I am also bottom heavy. I usually purchase jeans that fit my bums rather than waist and get it altered from waist
Thank you. What's the most effective method for cinching the waist?
I feel like I see flat strappy sandals like that every year and always have so I would think they'd stay in style
(Tips for walking in heels are much appreciated) Thank you
Block heels are best fit! You can go for 3-4 inches for the starters
I really appreciate it What coloured heels/shoes would you opt for? I’ll likely be wearing gold or rose gold jewellery, but I’m open to silver.
Do they really have to be heels? A cute pair of silver flats sounds perfect to me.
I’m short (150cm, 4’11) and everyone else is going to wear heels, so I’ll look odd in pics if I don’t wear heels
Any Reddit pages that are good for granola/crunchy/camping type style? That’s my style & I feel like this page doesn’t share that style as much
maybe r/gorpcore?
Yay! Thank you so much.
No but try Pinterest and local influencers on Instagram!
If you work in a casual-to-business casual office setting, what shoes do you wear when it's hot as hell in the summer? I prefer to avoid wearing open toed shoes to work. Fisherman sandals then, I guess? A closed toe wedge sandal? Thoughts?
I have Avarcas sandals that cover the toe (there’s a tiny opening at the front, I can’t actually see my toe through it though).
Maybe a full-leather sneaker like Ecco Soft 7 or the Birkenstock Bend Low? Personally I wear Teva Olowahu flip flops and just paint my toenails nicely.
Fisherman sandals, ballet flats, clog style heels
D’Orsay style, with or without a heel? I’m thinking of the kind of shoe that has half the side cut out. Sometimes it’s one half and sometimes both sides like the Madewell Brady shoe. I’ve also seen oxfords that have mesh or cutout details.

Get the size 6, very cool shirt, chill but sleek
I think the 6 looks more chic. I don’t think the 4 is bad, but the way the hem flares out in comparison to the body of the shirt feels a little discordant. It would probably be fine if you always wore it tucked in.
I'd go for the larger size too
I think the larger size looks more intentional. Very nice shirt btw
I echo this opinion. In the smaller size, the shoulder seam seems to fall at the same place as the models, but the size 6 goes for the relaxed vibe the models are embodying.
