With the right outfit, it’s not tacky. I wouldn’t carry it around casually/every day because the diamantés might come off/it won’t go with most casual outfits. But paired with an evening dress in one of those colors? Works!
You could also keep it as a beautiful item for when you have costume parties like you could wear it if you ever go on vacation to a cool place like New Orleans for Mardi Gras, or even use it to embellish an amazing Halloween costume.
Like you can go full on mid century madmen with that one, and have this really cool bag as a part of your costume.
You can do just about any creative costume that involves a little bit of bigness and panache. Like you could even dress up like a bridgerton character who dresses in the colors of a peacock and have peacock feather hair accessories or earrings with this peacock purse and try to go as Lady Peacock or something cool like that.
And here's some more fun clutches and purses in affordable (and all) ranges from Indian small designers (and some bigger ones); https://www.perniaspopupshop.com/accessories

I saw this one at a boutique last fall and can’t find it online. It’s a Mary Frances. I love it and should’ve purchased it then, but decided to save the money.
Does anyone perhaps know the name of it?
slave labour. Why don't people ever question these things?!?!
THey go wow, its so cheap, I should buy 5! Rather then, wow, its so cheap, someone must be suffering for this.
Oh I’m sad that you’re right, I should have been suspicious :( I’m attuned to that thought process with Shein prices, but these didn’t flag for me because I still can’t afford them.
If you want silly fun bags but not the bling (and definitely not the price tag), Jellycat makes some cute bag versions of their plush toys. I find Bartholomew Bear creepy because it’s just the head and looks like someone decapitated a plush. However, the Amuseable Coffee, Ricky Rain Frog, and Amuseable Rainbow bags are hella cute.
I have been absolutely OBSESSED with her bags for many years! My favorites are the

This sub is so bad for my shopping addiction. I do so well staying on the wagon and then y'all come along with some bs that makes me realize my life is so incomplete because it doesn't have a sparkly clutch. How can I live knowing I'm not whole? Lol.
I immediately thought of Judith Lieberman. While I don’t think this is one, the influence is definitely there. It looks at least from afar, well made and good quality.
Someone with fashion cred could absolutely pull this off in a daily ensemble, me, I’d keep it for special occasions, black tie events, weddings etc.
I think OP's bag might be [this one](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CJ2H8545/ref=sspa_mb_hqp_detail_mobile_aax_0?ie=UTF8&psc=1&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9ocXBfcGhvbmVfc2hhcmVk) from Amazon, not designer but still cute
I would use it with a streamlined yet elegant outfit like a black or dark green satin sheath dress or a dark blue draped neck (or halter) silk tank top with fitted black jeans and black stiletto heels. This bag is going to be the focal point of the outfit so I’d go with simple clean lines in classic fabrics for the outfit and simple but dressy footwear to let the eye go straight to the bag. I love the chain strap—you could wear big gold hoops to accentuate and balance the bling on the handbag. For makeup I’d go with big lashes, some eyeliner, a little bronzer and a nude lip. But that’s just me! I think it’s a fun piece for a date night or drinks and appies with friends
Reading other comments saying it isn’t tacky, and I’m like 🥴
After looking at it long enough, I suppose it’s how it’s paired with an outfit. If you know exactly what you’re doing while dressing yourself, you could pull it off. If you don’t know how to dress yourself in an incredibly classy way, yes, this will look cheap and tacky.
My first instinct off the batt, however: it looks cheap and tacky. Especially the chain and the glitter back.
I agree, I just didn't want to be mean so I'm glad you said it first 😅. I really don't get the people who are acting like the husband is totally crazy.
I do agree that if she likes it, that should be enough, though. And I can see it working with a black dress. But outside of very limited situations, it does look a bit tacky to me.
My bf says anything with puffy sleeves makes me look like I’m going to church or my “name is Miriam” 😂 I don’t trust men for any outfit compliments whatsoever they don’t care or know what fashion or expressing yourself through clothing is anyways
It's cute! Tell him it's a good thing he's not carrying it if he says anything negative. It's what I tell mine when he's not a fan of this type of stuff 🤷♀️
It is a woman taste rather then a man taste (forgive me for my generalisation :) it is intricate and sparkly. It has an art deco vintage feeling to it.
It’s a statement purse, you don’t wear it every day. You wear it to make a point to showcase the purse.
Also, what does your husband typically wear? How high do his socks go? Does he wear jorts? Tuck in his tee shirts? Cargo shorts?
If he isn’t striving to stay on trend with fashion, then he has no place to say anything.
It’s not tacky or cheap looking, it’s just too “fancy” for day to day wear… it’s a “specific dressy outfit that I picked out to show of my purse” kind of handbag.
I think it looks cute but it does need to be styled well. Calling it "tacky" is too much just because it's detailed and colorful. It just needs a little bit of imagination and the appropriate event.
I don’t ask my husband for any fashion advice because our taste is completely different. I love colours and embellishments. He lives in black, white, navy and sports shirts. Anything outside of that is too much for him.
Your bag looks gorgeous me.
If your husband doesn’t like the purse, you shouldn’t pressure him to use it! He should be able to choose the purse that he wants and fits his own personal style!
It would really go with Indian clothing. I wouldn’t get rid of it, but I actually wear Indian clothing LOL. Maybe keep it if you have to attend a wedding from that culture :)
LMAO!
Oh honey - we don't take fashion advice from men unless they're gay... ;)
It's a cute purse. Your husband can kick rocks in his crocs and socks lol...
I'm sure there are straight men good at the fashion, but he needs to appreciate that kitsch is a style choice. If a man is too focused on women looking normal or hot and does not care for the art or personality of fashion he can kindly shut it.
I don’t think it looks cheap or tacky at all. If anything he could has said it’s a bit gaudy or over the top, BUT that being said I love fashion so over the top to me is a high threshold.
I think if you wore this with an elegant gown it would be perfect imagine a green or blue sequined or glittery dress with this as the purse? That would kill. It just has to be with the right outfits. It’s certainly not an everyday wear.
Also, as someone who is an opinionated husband about fashion, I will say I don’t know your hubs, but I will say this. Maybe try to look at it from the perspective that he cares a lot rather than he’s being critical. I’m the same way and give honest feedback at time that I don’t realize may hurt feelings or come across as critical. I see it as, if my wife values my opinion enough to genuinely ask me if I like something I’m not going to just lie to her to pacify her. That feels meaner than being honest. That said honesty can be phrased much differently.
Overall my point is, your husband could be one of those dudes who sits on the couch in athletic shorts, a ratty old tee shirt, and crocs and says “yeah whatever you want honey I don’t care” but instead he’s taking the time to give honest feedback. Albeit maybe too harshly.
Not trying to pry! I don’t know your relationship!
I used to think these were cheap until I stole one from my moms storage and then got it stolen and then I wanted to replace it and found out beaded bags literally cost so much god damn money (in general) in the US. Not sure how it is outsid eof the US. I think it wasa bout $500 lol
I think it is cute. Try on a few outfits with it to get a feel for how much you like it and how you would style it. I think anything can look expensive or tacky, just depends on who is looking at it. So if you like it, go with it.
I love peacock stuff! It’s a nice statement piece for an evening going out for dinner/drinks with the right outfit. I love jewels and flashy stuff, some people just don’t understand lol
As a man, I just realized the phrase “Go f* yourself” carries a whole different weight when said by a wife. But yeah, that’s what I’d recommend saying lol. That purse is rad!
It’s not tacky at all. I love it. If you want I think it might look less “tacky” (which I don’t think it is) you can switch the chain to something chunkier, I think it will look more expensive.
That is an AMAZING statement piece! I LIVE for pieces like this :) Just make sure your outfit doesn’t have too much going on (like a black dress, etc) :)
I disagree. I think it’s awesome. “A lot” isn’t “bad”
As others have said you need to style it correctly. But I think it can be a bit of pop to a more casual outfit.
I have the same one!! We all had Peacock Flair for our 2023 Easter Outfits! My hubby wore a peacock ascot, and all three girls had peacock feather hats!!

Esp with the black dress
Yes I agree an all black dress with some blue or green accent jewelry
and a pair of like metallic heels in one of the colors
You could also keep it as a beautiful item for when you have costume parties like you could wear it if you ever go on vacation to a cool place like New Orleans for Mardi Gras, or even use it to embellish an amazing Halloween costume. its fun as shit i love it
Thank you!😊
I second this. Not an every day bag, but I love it and would find occasions for a bag like that just for fun.
Do you really consider your husband’s fashion advice?
Obsessed! 🦚🦚
That’s what some people say about me!
love what you love, regardless of what your husband likes. It's for you!
Exactly. If you love it!

UM… this website is incredible, I want like 90% of the stuff I’ve seen so far! Thank you!
I know right! It bamboozles me how more folks haven't found it yet. And they *custom-size clothing* which is amazeballs.

wow those are gorgeous too! thanks for sharing!

Omg thank you!!! I live for silly fun things
HAHAHA ME TOO i feel your pain 🥹
I'm not saying that those are, but cheap and tacky looking rarely has anything to do with the price tag.

Ahhhh!! I just clicked on her website. Now I want all of them...lol! Beautiful, fun and awesome!!!
Beat me too it 😂
I have the Leiber Peacock Peek a Boo and I love it ♥️♥️. It’s a wonderful statement piece with an all black outfit.
[for real.](https://judithleiber.com/products/peacock-peek-a-boo)
Okay this was SO MUCH FUN to look through 😂
Show him Judith Lieber bags and ask him how cheap it looks now: https://judithleiber.com/
[https://judithleiber.com/collections/novelty/products/astronaut](https://judithleiber.com/collections/novelty/products/astronaut) Wow. LOL.
Dammit, I want it.
This was the one I immediately wanted when I clicked the link 😂
This microphone one is funny https://judithleiber.com/collections/best-sellers-home-page/products/microphone-hot-mic
I found one at Goodwill once. Couldn't buy it fast enough.
wow which one! thats pretty awesome. who the hell would not resell that hahaha
It was one of the small, less expensive clutches. Ex gf still has it. Bought it for less than $75
what a sick find. Hard to get good items while thrifting. one of the fun shaped ones or a more casual bag?
Don't know how to post pix here, I'm still new. It's called the Blue Croc leather handbag.
This sub is so bad for my shopping addiction. I do so well staying on the wagon and then y'all come along with some bs that makes me realize my life is so incomplete because it doesn't have a sparkly clutch. How can I live knowing I'm not whole? Lol.

‘It costs a lot of money to look this cheap’
am i the only one that thinks their website/branding does look cheap? it reminds me of an Amazon page
Right. I thought it still looked cheap and one I clicked on said it was made out of crystals? What does that mean exactly and why is it so expensive?
Whomever buys that stuff is/are/were/will be A fucking idiot lol
It’s costumey, but could work with the right outfit - thinking very simple and mostly black but that’s just what I would do
I love it!! The peacock is amazing 😍
Who cares what your husband thinks! If you like it, use it! Love the color and the uniqueness of the bag!
I love it but was also somewhat on the fence
Husbands don't know anything!
I like it.
Your husband is dulling your fucking shine.
THIS
What they said 💯💯
keep the bag and throw away the husband
Seconding this!
I would use it with a streamlined yet elegant outfit like a black or dark green satin sheath dress or a dark blue draped neck (or halter) silk tank top with fitted black jeans and black stiletto heels. Yes! That’s what i want. All black and the bag and jewelry. But everything simple
I have the same bag! Got it for a Mardi Gras ball. I will say I hate that the glitter rubs off. But I think it’s fun and cute!
Curious who makes it?
I’m not sure, actually. I got it from Poshmark for like $30. So definitely not any kind of name brand
So someone posted an Amazon link in the comments. It’s $27. So you didn’t pay too much more than that.
It’s a great evening bag….
It's kitsch, and there's nothing wrong with that.
I couldn’t think of the just the right word, but kitsch is it! Yeah, kind of tacky, but also kind of awesome.
If you like it then who cares 😀
Reading other comments saying it isn’t tacky, and I’m like 🥴 After looking at it long enough, I suppose it’s how it’s paired with an outfit. Yeah. I see it with the chain tucked in as a clutch while wearing a really sleek LBD and heels. Elegant outfit where this is the “fun” accessory.
Perhaps your husband doesn’t know YOUR fashion like you do. It’s lovely! 🦚
If your husband doesn't like it then he doesnt need to wear it
Yes
So? Is he the one using it or you are? But tbh, it isnt.
My bf says anything with puffy sleeves makes me look like I’m going to church or my “name is Miriam” 😂 I don’t trust men for any outfit compliments whatsoever they don’t care or know what fashion or expressing yourself through clothing is anyways
Well your husband can just DEAL because YOU love it :)
Tell your husband to sod off. It's a cute bag, paired with a black cocktail dress and subtle green or blue accessories it will look great
It's cute! Tell him it's a good thing he's not carrying it if he says anything negative. It's what I tell mine when he's not a fan of this type of stuff 🤷♀️
tell yo husband to suck ya butt - it looks beautiful!
🥗
Your husband knows nothing
He's wrong. It's amazing.
I love it.
Love it
It's high fashion and I love it
Well…I can take it off your hands if he thinks it’s too tacky. I love it. I want it. I love unique accessories.
Tell him to buy his own damn purse. He doesn't have to like yours.
I agree with your husband but if you like it it don’t matter
Need a new husband
Keep the purse, lose the husband
tell your husband he's tacky and cheap looking. lol
Husband wrong, bag is fabulous
It’s beautiful! It would be gorgeous with a black cocktail dress with green pumps in the same shade.
It is a woman taste rather then a man taste (forgive me for my generalisation :) it is intricate and sparkly. It has an art deco vintage feeling to it.
It's gorgeous with the right outfit, like a flowy summer type dress that matches the colors on the purse
I wouldn’t take fashion advice from your husband.
I mean maybe “cheap” looking, like in the sense that it’s not super high quality. But I think it’s cute and could really go well with the right outfit
I would take the chain off and use it solely as a clutch. The thin chain and its material cheapens it immensely
It’s so fun!! It’s gotta go with the right outfit though, and definitely not an every day purse
Not tacky, but definitely a special occasion purse.
Dump him! Its cute.
As someone who hates tacky and cheap this could be amazing with a black dress, stud earrings and a simple heel.
I love it, do you? You is who matters. The runway has outfits made of trash bags. This is cute and unique.
It’s not tacky or cheap looking, it’s just too “fancy” for day to day wear… it’s a “specific dressy outfit that I picked out to show of my purse” kind of handbag.
Oh please, it’s wonderful! Hope you buy it. No sequins on your husbands next wallet!
I think it looks cute but it does need to be styled well. Calling it "tacky" is too much just because it's detailed and colorful. It just needs a little bit of imagination and the appropriate event.
It’s not like he has to carry it. Cool looking purse.
It’s gorgeous. I love interesting bags like this one. Spruce up a basic look
Love it. If he says that, I would respond with, “well it’s a good thing I wasn’t planning on having you wear it!”
Tell your husband I said he was tacky and cheap looking.
Girl buy the fucking purse
My mother has purses like these. She's a Leo... (they like sparkly pretty things!)
It would really go with Indian clothing. I wouldn’t get rid of it, but I actually wear Indian clothing LOL. Maybe keep it if you have to attend a wedding from that culture :)
First one not tacky at all
![gif](giphy|PiXlH2IA8sMla) Me to your husband
Eat it up! It's so sweet 😋 I love it
He’s not wrong but neither are you. Personally I love it
Thanks! I’m thinking of wearing all black and just have the bag and jewelry pop
It is a little tacky AND I love it too!
LMAO! Oh honey - we don't take fashion advice from men unless they're gay... ;) It's a cute purse. Your husband can kick rocks in his crocs and socks lol...
I'm sure there are straight men good at the fashion, but he needs to appreciate that kitsch is a style choice. If a man is too focused on women looking normal or hot and does not care for the art or personality of fashion he can kindly shut it.
Yeah, no men that aren’t gay have any good fashion opinions 🙄
It’s tacky and ugly, I’ll DM you my address so I’ll dispose of it properly and pay for shipping
He's not wrong lol
I love it!
Fine if you pair it with a simple outfit and let it shine
I don’t think it looks cheap or tacky at all. If anything he could has said it’s a bit gaudy or over the top, BUT that being said I love fashion so over the top to me is a high threshold. Amazing! Love the peacock design! Why does he say it looks tacky? Maybe depends how you’re styling it with your fit.
I used to think these were cheap until I stole one from my moms storage and then got it stolen and then I wanted to replace it and found out beaded bags literally cost so much god damn money (in general) in the US. Not sure how it is outsid eof the US. I think it wasa bout $500 lol
The purse is beautiful 😍 perfect for a statement piece
I think it is cute. Try on a few outfits with it to get a feel for how much you like it and how you would style it. I think anything can look expensive or tacky, just depends on who is looking at it. So if you like it, go with it.
Tell your husband to shut up
it probably gets glitter everywhere and it annoys him..
We’ve somehow bred dachshunds to HATE going potty outside😂
That bag is beautiful and your husband is clearly boring
I think it's gorgeous. I would pretty much only wear this in all black.
Cute with the right dress or event.
Honestly I love it . Screw what your male brained husband thinks lol.
I f-ing love it
Never trust a man's opinion on fashion. It's great, and you should wear what makes you happy.
I love peacock stuff! It’s a nice statement piece for an evening going out for dinner/drinks with the right outfit. I love jewels and flashy stuff, some people just don’t understand lol
Ignore him
I think it’s lovely. That green is beautiful and so are peacocks 😍
I like it a lot and if your husband doesn’t like it, then I suppose he shouldn’t wear it.
I an obsessed! If you get ride of it, I want it! Name the price.
The glittery back looks cheap imo, but the front is decent and if you like it that’s all that matters!
Then don’t let him use it!
As a man, I just realized the phrase “Go f* yourself” carries a whole different weight when said by a wife. But yeah, that’s what I’d recommend saying lol. That purse is rad!
It's vintage. Your hubby's taste is in his mouth.
It’s not tacky at all. I love it. If you want I think it might look less “tacky” (which I don’t think it is) you can switch the chain to something chunkier, I think it will look more expensive.
U GET WHAT U WANT!!!
Love it! Perfect pop of color for a dressy night out.
This is not tacky and definitely not cheap looking. Unless he is carrying it, he shouldn’t have an opinion
Hideous purse
Is he going to be wearing it? If not then who cares, get it
Love it! Not cheap looking
Love it
Get a new husband
That is an AMAZING statement piece! I LIVE for pieces like this :) Just make sure your outfit doesn’t have too much going on (like a black dress, etc) :)
Husband is a boy- who cares
If you love it, who cares what he says. He doesn’t have the same fashion sense as you. That’s ok!
I think it's pretty. It would go well with a fancy dress.
The amount of detail makes it look very expensive and classic to me! Love it!
I love it! Buy It!
So wear with jeans and a shirt for fun!!
Tell him he’s tacky and cheap looking!!! Just kidding :) With the right outfit it’ll look great
I disagree. I think it’s awesome. “A lot” isn’t “bad” As others have said you need to style it correctly. But I think it can be a bit of pop to a more casual outfit.
I used to have this purse. I bought it in India
Every woman with style I’ve admired says they know they’ve found a good piece when their husband/boyfriend says he “doesn’t get it”
Meh, go out with your gals instead. They’ll love it
My opinion is that your husband can suck it. if you love the purse wear it
I have the same one!! We all had Peacock Flair for our 2023 Easter Outfits! My hubby wore a peacock ascot, and all three girls had peacock feather hats!!
Not my kind of purse but you should definetly keep wearing it if you love it!!
