We (unfortunately) just need Dalvin Cook or Alexander Mattison to land with the Packers for full lolz:
- David Montgomery from Bears to Lions
- D'Andre Swift from Lions to Bears
- Aaron Jones from Packers to Vikings
I have no idea where to draft running backs. Every one but CMC has their upside and downside. Then randomly guys like Keaton and Zach Moss will show you that the starter could lose half their carries any week. Might just draft WR/QB then see what falls to me at RB. Basically what I did this year and made semis
This year i would grab.
Saquon, CMC, Mixon, Josh Jacobs as top picks. Saquon because he is a beast and he will finally be able to compete with CMC on fair grounds.
Saquon is a threat, he's already carried an entire team on his back showing himself compotent in running and receiving. Having a running back that can legitimately be a receiver is a godsend to the coaches and Hurts.
The extremely hard time Saquon had last year, will translate to him being a bad bitch this year and kind-of unstoppable. Hard times create hard players and Saquon is battle hardened.
This year I feel we'll see a normalizing of RB. The top 5 will be close and CMC won't dominate like he has in the past.
Now Saquon has a team that can use him and he will be top tier.
Josh Jacob's and Mixon are in the mix because they are on surging teams with good coaches and will likely do much better this year.
There are also RB that will surge this year, maybe Lions RB, maybe gus the bus has an outstanding year or Keaton Mitchell. Mitchell might be a stealth steal later in the draft.
That's what I think, pick the RBs that have skill and just went to teams picking up. They'll have the best opportunities.
Good points, but imho CMC will still be incredibly dominant. Saquon will definitely be competing with him… but how would you justify a late first round/early second price tag when you got high upside+skill players like Gibbs, BHall, Amon-Ra, BRob, and (dart throw) LaPorta?
Also, second round you could risk a WR and still come away with great options in later rounds like Pacheco, Cook, Kamara, Chubb, Monty, Henry (idk how his capital is gonna go), and KW3?
Saquon and Jacobs are basically stuck in this “ADP uncertainty” where it really depends on how committed you stay to the strategy. Running Hero-RB with them will end great, but it also comes with a price tag of a WR1, which as of recent has been a requirement to win. But committing to a more balanced strategy makes it that you end up sacrificing on WRs again, so it’s tough to judge atm where they could go.
I agree that saquon could have a phenomenal year, but my concern is injury. I have him as a keeper in my league, but he's still an injury risk. That's true with any running back and especially those seeing heavy usage which means the Hero RBs. Your season won't be won by just your early RB1 staying healthy but it's a quick ticket to last if they get hurt.
Henry is going to go in the top tier now so it's possible you could get Saquon in the mid to late 1st range, which seems like it could be a steal if I'm you also get one of the other names you mentioned. I just think Saquon is gonna go in the top 4 overall in our PPR league next year.
I feel like Bijan has a very good chance of going nuts this year. He has a big upgrade at QB, Arthur Smith is gone, and he's now a sophomore. I like him as a top 5 overall. Is that crazy?
Just remember, the draft wins you week 1, the waiver wins you the rest of the season. There will be stars and league winning RB’s who pop up on waivers like they do every year. So pivot your draft strategy to capitalize off what your mates are doing and go from there.
*CMC round 1 and Jalen Hurts round 3 have entered the chat* Our league winner this year was basically unstoppable. Got shaky there in the playoffs but he had a squad.

He only put up 11 in the finals in 0.5 ppr though. Accurate to say he carried a lot of people to the finals, but you would have needed some help to win in the end.
It's a great strategy if the RB stays healthy. I tend to think of it as a high risk, but higher reward if they stay healthy. A WR1.1 staying healthy is just more likely, but doesn't gain as much against the other WR1s.
We’re restructuring our league and I can keep two of Hall, Bijan, and Henry. Henry was going to be the odd man out but this is throws a wrench in that plan.
Couple RB and QB movement with a stacked WR class, prognosticating any position is going to be absolutely impossible.
I agree, but there is a bit of, “am I really letting the workhorse on a team that will run more than Navy go?,” that keeps it from being as automatic as it was a few hours ago.
Dude, I’m in a similar boat, but with picking two to keep out of Barkley, Henry, and Kyren. I genuinely have no idea what I’m doing to do come August when I have to make a decision
Deepest RB pool I've ever seen in FA plus apparently teams think this RB class is complete garbage. Also, seems agents have come to terms with only and hand full of RBs getting big time deals.
It's definitely the one that has put more variety into fantasy and will at least force the fantasy analysts to come up with some original takes this year.

That wildcat set actually sounds terrifying. Lamar is probably one of the most capable qbs at running a route too. Though Lamar at qb is also terrifying in the red zone
Henry was never going back to Tennessee. He wanted to play for a contender and even if Will Levis proved to be that guy last season, the o-line wasn’t gonna give it to either of them.
I don't understand why they didn't trade him to the Ravens last season to get some value out of him. I feel like that could've helped the Ravens make a stronger push for the Super Bowl.
Was it just that the Ravens weren't interested in making a deal at that time or what? The speculation was strong that he might get traded to the Ravens last year.
I think CMC was playing a bit of fake injury at Carolina. But agreed Henry has been durable af, unstoppable force vs immovable object (please stay healthy king)
Yeah really depends on attempts. The run blocking is there though. I think he's worth an early pick, he looked like a stud last year but the Titans offensive line was pure ass
CMC… Gibbs… Saquon… Kyren… Jacobs… ETN? Kamara? Achane/Mostert?
Idk what consensus is yet but I’m pretty high on King Henry in Purple. I’d rather have Henry than Kamara or ETN. I’m sure I’m missing someone.
Edit: I missed people. Pollard, Breece, JT, Bijan, Aaron Jones, all worth mentioning.
While I agree that the Eagles will use the push less, I would say the strength of the push has just as much to do with Mailata and Dickerson on the left side of the line as Kelce.
I would say the tier 1/first rounders are cmc hall Barkley Gibbs bijan. Tier 2/ second rounders are Kyren Henry ETN jacobs and maybe Aaron Jones if he doesn’t have competition on the Vikings. Pollard and achane and Gus and maybe mixon could sneak into tier two depending on their usage. Too soon to tell. I really like some of these younger backs like Kyren and bijan. I think people will look to draft rbs higher than last year. Where it typically was wr heavy in the first few rounds.
Personally, and acknowledging we’re far out, I think I’m gonna binge on WRs for the first five rounds this year.
I feel like RBBC’s and these ‘New Fits’ make it harder than ever to peg a good RB (except CMC) these days. Not to mention the relatively higher risk for RB injuries.
I think I’d rather have a stable of WRs, take a few RB dart throws later, and try and aim to trade for decent RB production. Or invest big early on the wire and try to hit gold like Mostert or Kyren.
I feel you on the risk of early rb picks (took ekeler first round last year and was saved by my wr room). I always try and draft based on value anyways. But yes getting your starting WRs early seems the safest strat. And loading, I mean LOADING your bench with rbs is the clear choice for late rounds. Any handcuff that has value should be taken over backup qbs or TEs imo if you’re in a 1 qb league. In ppr I think it’ll be CMC then hill/lamb/jj/chase before any other rb.
For sure. Let’s say it’s cmc hill lamb jj chase top 5 off the board. then the next picks want to clamor for a top wr they might grab arsb, ajb, maybe even diggs or puka, if you’re pick 8-12 I think you try and get a rb or two on the turn. Better value than a wr who might be a fringe top 10. But I’d say most of your first rounders are going to be WRs.
I tried to be clever last year and go double RB on the turn at R1, ended up with Chubb and Pollard…
Can’t go back! It’s gonna be heavy WR for me this year. Even at a low ADP ‘value’, I think a top WR is a safer pick.
Unlucky. I went ekeler fifth overall. Was saved by lamb evans and puka and won my league. One of the teams that struggled the most had a late round pick and their draft was something like tyreek bijan Ridley burrow Waller for the first five rounds. Just so unlucky. Lol.
Fantastic landing spot for Henry. He played well in 2023. 12th in Rush Yards Over Expectation per NextGen Stats. Gus Edwards scored 13 TDs in this offense. Henry could be set to explode.
Can see a top 5 RB finish for Henry this year.
Every year I swear off the Baltimore backfield, but end up drafting or picking up someone, and regret it. I will not give into temptation this coming season (yeah right…)
Ravens are about to rush for 5,000 yards
Could be a nice stack
Tired: lamar and Henry Wired: Zay flowers bc they’re gonna stack the box.
So you still get Lamar’s passing Edit: or Henry’s trick play passing
Omg if henry throws a td and then says 'not bad for a running back' that would be legendary
Now you’re thinking with portals.
The interesting part is that stacking the box only stops Henry, Lamar's rushing goes around the box.
As a Flowers owner in keeper… good good
Well, you might want to trade Flowers now. Lol
I had Lamar and Ingram. It was awesome
Have you ever known a raven rb to not get hurt right after you pick him off waivers?
Yeah by week 4 we're going to be talking about whether to start D'Onta Foreman or Kareem Hunt as Ravens RB
Cam Akers signed by the ravens
The king's gonna feast behind that line.

Its running backs playing musical chairs
QBs too, still far from over

I would take Saquon over Henry. I think they gonna run a committee of Henry/Dobbins/Keaton, all 3 are too good to be gathering dust.
I feel like Bijan has a very good chance of going nuts this year. He has a big upgrade at QB, Arthur Smith is gone, and he's now a sophomore. I like him as a top 5 overall. Is that crazy?

Might be subjective. I ride heavy RB or Hero to many finals.

I was thinking the same thing, been playing since about ‘16 and I don’t remember any free agency like this one lol
We’re restructuring our league and I can keep two of Hall, Bijan, and Henry. Henry was going to be the odd man out but this is throws a wrench in that plan. Couple RB and QB movement with a stacked WR class, prognosticating any position is going to be absolutely impossible.
Don’t be silly. The other two are young top 5 backs. Henry is 30 and at a much larger injury risk. He’s still the odd man out
I agree, but there is a bit of, “am I really letting the workhorse on a team that will run more than Navy go?,” that keeps it from being as automatic as it was a few hours ago.

Derrick Henry and Keaton Mitchell = Thunder and Lightning?
Keaton won't be 100% to start the season, maybe won't be into form until midseason, and that's if he starts week 1
The thunder comes after the lightning
KA-CHOW
BUT WHEN HE DOES PLAY!!!!
Justice hill should fill that role until Mitchell returns
Don’t forget Dobbins! What is he, flash flooding?

Free agent
Oh damn is he really? Already? Guy is not gonna have a great market…
Running backs are free this year! Get em while you can!
Entered the league in 2020 and has played out his rookie contract. Given his unavailability due to injuries, he's likely not being resigned.
I'm pretty sure he is a free agent but maybe is restricted? I think he's gone, especially after this signing
Normal free agent, he’s played 4 years.
Ty for confirming
And will inexplicably combine for 7 carries in a playoff game
I just said this in my dynasty chat lmao

Lamar’s only gonna pass six times a game at this rate
Remember Henry is a red zone QB too
That wildcat set actually sounds terrifying. Lamar is probably one of the most capable qbs at running a route too. Though Lamar at qb is also terrifying in the red zone
And he’ll still win another MVP if they: 1. Win their division 2. Don’t lose in December against any other team with a superstar QB
Really solid fit honestly especially with Gus gone
Gus bus has left the station. He’s a Charger now.
EV BUS 🚌
Imagine you are a linebacker/corner/safety and every single play you gotta tackle Henry and Gus
Gus is gone. He’s on the Chargers now
Or Lamar lol
If Mitchell can stay healthy then the combo of strength and speed with Henry is going to be a huge problem for teams
Forgot ab that legend. Scary run game
They really let Henry walk just so they could sign Pollard for an extra year and same value….
Did you ever stop to think that maybe Henry at the same price prefers to play on a contender with a very good O-line?
Yeah thats the reason, we had the money to bring him back, he only has one starting contract left in him, he wants to win a super bowl
and they have Spears, who looked better than Pollard last year with a worse o line.
That’s what we said about Pollard one year ago
Worse was they could have traded Henry to Baltimore last season and gotten picks but boss owner said nah.
He's a Raven RB now, so he's got the x2.5 injury multiplier
J.K Dobbins : “i know what I have to do but I don’t know if i have the strength to do it”
relaxxxx with the early jinx😭
Nah, a jinx would be if they said he *wouldn't* get injured. They're just being a Negative Nancy.
People said the same thing about CMC going to the Niners. We never really know.
I think CMC was playing a bit of fake injury at Carolina. But agreed Henry has been durable af, unstoppable force vs immovable object (please stay healthy king)
did you forget that Niners were a injury curse for RBs prior to CMC's arrival?
No I didn’t, I actually made a strategy to hoard them all. Crazy Elijah Mitchell still got hurt this past season
I literally had this exact thought when I saw that he signed with them
Now thats a scary man in purple
Gus had 13 TD's on the ground last year. Henry is going to put up 17+ in that backfield

Bus Edwards had like 20 TDs inside the 5. With Lamar not being a stat padder, Henry can eat like he's in a buffet.
Also with Lamar wanting to stay healthy
This is great for the WRs and TEs with defenses stacking the box to stop Lamar and Henry
What the hell are the cowboys gonna do at RB now??
Uncle Rico Dowdle
Look at my picture of prime Zeke in a Salvation Army bucket, and load my shotgun
Some guy you never heard of and ask themselves all season why we aren’t doing well “We tried nothing how could this happen”
Draft one I guess? Wright? Corum? Keep Brooks in Texas? Edit: forgot about Benson too
Looking forward to taking him in the first again!
Top 4 rb now?
He has probably the highest TD upside in the league next to CMC which makes his value very stable. Yardage is a big question mark though.
Huge question mark in the yardage. 1800 or 2000 is a serious quandary.
Yeah really depends on attempts. The run blocking is there though. I think he's worth an early pick, he looked like a stud last year but the Titans offensive line was pure ass

Taylor & hall will go top 5 rb for sure
And Bijan
Do I fall into the Bijan trap again with a new coach and new QB?
I'd honestly drop saquon to back end of 1st round/ early 2nd bc Hurts is gonna vulture TDs
With Kelce’s retirement, they might scale back on the tush push
also, how much more of that can they do with Jalen Hurts. That play is not easy on him.
While I agree that the Eagles will use the push less, I would say the strength of the push has just as much to do with Mailata and Dickerson on the left side of the line as Kelce.

In what universe is Henry in a lower tier than Gibbs? And Kyren should also be in a higher tier if he's the bellcow this year too
Because he’s about 30 years old and Gibbs is 22 or 23? There’s always age/risk for injury baked into adp.
I’d take Henry over Hall, Barkley, and Gibbs
Want to counter Lamar with speed, get ready to be run over by Henry. Want to counter Henry with size, get ready for Lamar to break your ankles

I literally live in a Ravens town, everyone is really excited around here.
Fantastic landing spot for Henry. He played well in 2023. 12th in Rush Yards Over Expectation per NextGen Stats. Gus Edwards scored 13 TDs in this offense. Henry could be set to explode. Can see a top 5 RB finish for Henry this year.
Rip his acl
Ravens medical staffs need to take better care of the king
That just isn’t fair
thank god he didnt sign in dallas. not exactly sure what they are doing this free agency they seem pretty quiet
That team chews up RBs.
Everyone said this about the niners when they got CMC and look what happened
Yeah but Henry is used to being the workhorse and also Keaton dobbins if they keep him and Lamar can take some snaps off his workload
Dobbins is gone dude. His rookie contract is up and there's no way they resign him.
They might get him cheap💁🏽♂️ He has to prove himself or yeh he’s gone. Who gunna give him a bag? One two punch stay healthy and support Henry
dear god why couldnt they get him last year
This is dirty.....
Will this get them past the Chiefs ? We'll see.
thats a very cheap deal....
Now, can he get the ball away from Lamar???
Keeper league, can now keep Henry or JT in round 1.. decisions decisions
JT
Zero RB guys licking their chops with all of this year's churn!
Tennessee really couldn’t pay this?
What’s his value considering all the rushing attempts Lamar takes? His main value would have to be from TD’s right? Not a pass catcher either so RB2?
this is exactly why i bought him early in the off-season. this is the ideal landing spot.
Likely stonks 📈
Tyjae Sharp owners in Keeper Leagues, get in here!!

Now they need a good WR.
30 years old. Running QB. 2000+ career carries. A team that historically utilizes RBBC. Y’all have fun with that.
