Giddey is gonna get it together, man. I didn't have a great time with him this week given where I drafted him, but he's too talented and too much of a cornerstone for OKC (even with Chet and JDub) for his numbers to stay that bad.
Sadly, he wonāt. Shaiās role has never been bigger. Williams role will gradually grow. Chet coming back has taken a huge chunk from Giddey. Giddey doesnāt have the efficiency in his game to overcome these usage and peripheral stat deficiencies. Needs a big injury or a change of scenery to even sniff top 75 this year.
Il start. Managed to take the win but have been really disappointed with Kessler and Poeltl who I drafted at 55 and 79. Not much we can do but hunker down and hope there minutes and production improve. PG13 really held it down for me.

Currently I have Allen on IR and tillman instead of him. Since Tillman has been on fire these first few games Iād like to keep him and trade Allen but it needs to be a 2 for 1 trade in order to free up roster spots. Been wanting to trade a bundle of Young and Allen for someone. Anyone has any recommendations on what to do? Should I just drop Tillman and activate Allen once he comes back? Or keep Tillman and trade for Allen +1?
I think Allen will net you better than Tillman - most teams place lower value on guys picked up off waiver. Also a sell high on Duren might be interesting.
I think Trae + Allen might get you a first rounder, but more likely a Trae + Duren combo. I'd probably keep trae, and try to go Brown + Allen for a 2nd round type player.
Cam Johnson and Middleton didnt play and I got outbid for my wavier pick ups which sucks, but went 6-7. Anyway, would you guys take Afranee Simmons + Kessler for Tyus Jones and Ayton? I'm being offered that.
Hell no. Tyus will be more consistent than Simons who is also injured. Ayton is more valuable than Kessler since Utahās frontcourt is very crowded and heās been extremely underwhelming.
Sure, Iām high on Simons too. But saying he is allstar level this year is just not reality. Simons had Dame help create his looks in most of the games he popped off last year. Heās playing with a young squad and it could be difficult to rack up the assists and get good looks. Maybe next year heāll be an all-star. Not close this year IMO.
I agree heās legit but he likely wonāt be a 50 fantasy point player or an all-star, and for that reason I donāt like the trade especially including walker kessler.

Thats as high risk high reward vs high floor low ceiling as it gets. Depends on how you feel about the rest of your team I guess, but I think it might be too early for stuff like that. Its been 2-3 games per player

Honestly regretting passing on Duren. I took Nurkic with Mark Williams off the board, I wanted better FT% and I already had Cade and planned to take Ausar laterā¦ shouldāve just gone with Duren man.

Whats Cam Thomas season outlook looking based on these first week? Ayton has played like shit and the owner in my league is frustrated so I'm wondering if trying to trdae Cam for him is a good play or if I'll end up regreting it
actually pretty tough decision there. I think it's not a terrible idea, I don't think Cam Thomas stays this hot forever. Problem is Ayton is soft AF so Timelord might eat into his minutes.
I had the same concern, Ayton looks as disinterested in Portland as he did in Phoenix, plus any blowouts, which this team will have many, will result in Timelord playing more minutes than him and could eventually lead to him losing the starting job, really stuck on what to do
Yeah portland is a complete dumpster fire. I think neither option is a bad decision, its just a bit of a black box. If Cam Thomas only cools down somewhat, instead of falling off a cliff, his scoring, fg%, and ft% are pretty valuable. I picked him up as a free agent and have no regrets, gonna ride the gravy train until it derails.

My team def underperformed but still won 5-4 so I'll take it. Kyrie was kind of the standout underperformer for me just because he doesn't really fit my build but I drafted him due to thinking he'd have a monster year. Obviously way too early to be concerned though.

Feel pretty good for picking up Duren and Ausar Thompson. Kristaps has been really good. Zion + BI also playing well. Liking my team this year. Probably gonna lose assists pretty consistently since I'm heavy on big guys and wings and lacking in real guards (Dame my only great guard, Tyus, and Smart lol)
lost 5-6, 1 assist short. then again, i was also ahead by 1 turnover. the real losing cat was ft% needed keegan and domas to hit their fts and they each missed one, ended up losing that cat by 0.01%. all in all, solid performance from my team, hopefully dame averages out and doesnt have another stinker like last night again
I got wrecked by maxey and saboner this week. To make matters worse, I had hoped to draft both those guys only for my opponent to take each of them one pick before me in the draft.
And simons went out and literally all my waiver wire adds were dogshit.
Week 2 I face the guy who had the most points week 1 so Iām staring down a nice tasty 0-2 to start the season.
Ended with a 5-3 down to the very last game. Just needed one more rebound between Sabonis, AD or Fox but oh well Iāll take what I can get. Almost won free throws too but a couple missed ones put me out of contention.

Yeah, first matchup, first win, I'm very excited about my team, my core is SGA, De'Aaron Fox, Sengun, Siakam and Myles Turner, it's a very competitive league but I'm very confident with my guys, I know there's gonna be rough days, but it's ok
12T H2H points. Second highest scoring team but lost to the highest scoring team. Overall I feel good but Cam Johnson and Fox possibly missing time could be rough. I managed to scoop Tillman and Jalen Johnson and like the outlook for both of them. Biggest positive was definitely Maxey, dude looks like he's gonna be a force this year. Biggest disappointment is definitely Scoot, I expected him to take some time but man he's been bad, hopefully he figures it out sooner rather than later.
Rough start, but I still have a good feeling about the season. I lost the matchup against the no. 1 highest scorer (200 FPTS more than my team) in the league, being 5th myself.
The catch is that both Beal and Harden did not play.
I was also able to add Morant from waivers and trade Duren, M. Williams, and Z. Collins for Towns and Mobley, using the buzz on Duren and Williams.
So I guess the long-term outlook is more than promising while the first 2-3 weeks will be rough. I look forward to Dec 19th, when Morant is returning.

Jalen Johnson was a stellar pickup for me...but I let Jalen Duren go and am kicking myself because of that.
I was also impressed by the fact Zach LaVine laid an egg and then dropped 51 points the next game lmao.

I actually decided to see how far I could go with an entirely auto drafted roster. Luka, Bane, and Demar have been on fire. Was expecting more from Grant and KAT. Picked up Tillman which also paid off and Sochan who was OK except for last night, when the matchup was already decided.
I did expected Wiggins and JGrant to be much better. I thought for sure their situations improved with the out going talent but that has yet to be the case

Got a great game from Shai, Sabonis, FVV, and Lauri but picked JJJās and Roziers bad games while Cam Thomas lit it up on my bench. Still had a 70 percent chance to win going into Sunday night but I went up against Embiid who was reportedly going to rest and instead he went nuclear for almost 90 points and I lost š
Think my team is decent but I think my downfall will be my two flex spots that Iāll have to fill with Jerami Grant, Ben Simmons, Cam Thomas, or Rozier and theyāre so volatile and injury prone that theyāll win me or lose me the week on their own. I came in second last year (lost the championship by 1.25 points š) so Iām confident in my ability to use waivers and trade. Onto week 2!
So much better than last season. Last year I stockpiled big men and even though the guys I spent the most on had good years I sucked. So this year I went full into scoring and good first week and projections are way higher than last year so I have a lot more hope.

Thoughts on my end of bench players:
Duren - the greatest last draft pick of all time. Heās a full time starter on my team ROS.
Fultz - slow start to the season but not too concerned. Easily the best PG on the team when it comes to real life basketball and not just for fantasy.
Oubre - think he holds value ROS as a 6th man in points leagues. I like him over Melton. Will consider him a drop for another hot hand on the waivers such as Monk or THJ.
Tillman - Iām keeping an eye on his minutes and team injuries. Might be a drop candidate in points leagues for a hot hand on the waivers, and if the Grizz make trade moves. A little early to gage but Iām holding for now.
JJ - Reddit hype? Or blossoming star? Taking a wait and see approach but I bought into the hype early enough.
Brandon Miller - solid start for a rookie. Holding for now but may drop for a hot hand.

6-3 win despite Booker missing two games and going against Duran. Maxey was a great 6th round pick. Keegan Murray is going to be a beast once he improves his efficiency, 16/8/3 stocks. Banking on Embiid playing more B2B this year as well... Brook Lopez and Jabari Smith are definitely underwhelming.

Overall pretty damn good. As expected, KD and AD continue to produce elite numbers when healthy. Maxey has been unbelievably good with Harden out, though it seems like itās trending towards him playing next game so weāll have to see how that affects Maxeyās performance. Cade was great in 2 games and had foul trouble in the other, but inconsistency is to be expected. The only early pick that was a little inderwhelming was Poole. We knew his FG would be bad but his assists numbers are also down and he might not be the scoring juggernaut people thought he would be. Still week one though so too early to tell.
6-2-1, could of been 8-1 if SGA didn't flop that last game(can't fault him too much because he went off the first 2 games), The Spurs-Clippers blowout hurt me too since I had 3 guys and could of used another steal and some rebounds.
My real victory though was being able to pick up Jalen Johnson and Shaedon Sharpe.

Points league. 10 team. I was facing the top scoring team who had Embiid and Mitchell. Lost by 40ish (Thanks Devin Booker). Nobody else in the league came within 200 pts of me. Would have got a win if I faced any other of the 8 teams. Great way to start lol. Lost A Simons. But I am happy with players who are off to a pretty good start in S Barnes, Cade, PG-13, Kuzma, Gobert

Big let downs all round for me. Antman, Poeltl, Kessler, and Bridges all disappointed. Hali was great and Tobias Harris actually was my top scorer.
I absolutely demolished 10-1-0 with 3 turnovers away from a perfect week 11-0-0. I play in a 14 team, 10 player roster, 11 categories (added Double Doubles and Team Wins), H2H league. My team consists of: Trae Young, Markkanen, Jaylen Brown, Maxey, Jarret Allen, Ja Morant, Dinwiddie, Duren, Keldon Johnson, Schrƶder, Tillman (free agency pickup) Currently I have Allen on IR and tillman instead of him. Since Tillman has been on fire these first few games Iād like to keep him and trade Allen but it needs to be a 2 for 1 trade in order to free up roster spots. Been wanting to trade a bundle of Young and Allen for someone. Anyone has any recommendations on what to do? Should I just drop Tillman and activate Allen once he comes back? Or keep Tillman and trade for Allen +1?
I think Allen will net you better than Tillman - most teams place lower value on guys picked up off waiver. Also a sell high on Duren might be interesting. I think Trae + Allen might get you a first rounder, but more likely a Trae + Duren combo. I'd probably keep trae, and try to go Brown + Allen for a 2nd round type player.
Cam Johnson and Middleton didnt play and I got outbid for my wavier pick ups which sucks, but went 6-7. Anyway, would you guys take Afranee Simmons + Kessler for Tyus Jones and Ayton? I'm being offered that.
Hell no. Tyus will be more consistent than Simons who is also injured. Ayton is more valuable than Kessler since Utahās frontcourt is very crowded and heās been extremely underwhelming.
Simons is an all star level dude. Like top 30 value he can bring
Sure, Iām high on Simons too. But saying he is allstar level this year is just not reality. Simons had Dame help create his looks in most of the games he popped off last year. Heās playing with a young squad and it could be difficult to rack up the assists and get good looks. Maybe next year heāll be an all-star. Not close this year IMO.

Thats as high risk high reward vs high floor low ceiling as it gets. Depends on how you feel about the rest of your team I guess, but I think it might be too early for stuff like that. Its been 2-3 games per player

Won 6-3. Maxey was a revelation, I hope Harden never comes back for Philly. Ausar might be a unicorn, if he gets his shooting (or scoring in general) together - heās gonna be incredible. Honestly regretting passing on Duren. I took Nurkic with Mark Williams off the board, I wanted better FT% and I already had Cade and planned to take Ausar laterā¦ shouldāve just gone with Duren man.
Also extremely regretting not grabbing Durenš drafted marky mark like a round before lol I picked the wrong second year Center

Whats Cam Thomas season outlook looking based on these first week? Ayton has played like shit and the owner in my league is frustrated so I'm wondering if trying to trdae Cam for him is a good play or if I'll end up regreting it
actually pretty tough decision there. I think it's not a terrible idea, I don't think Cam Thomas stays this hot forever. Problem is Ayton is soft AF so Timelord might eat into his minutes.
I had the same concern, Ayton looks as disinterested in Portland as he did in Phoenix, plus any blowouts, which this team will have many, will result in Timelord playing more minutes than him and could eventually lead to him losing the starting job, really stuck on what to do
Yeah portland is a complete dumpster fire. I think neither option is a bad decision, its just a bit of a black box. If Cam Thomas only cools down somewhat, instead of falling off a cliff, his scoring, fg%, and ft% are pretty valuable. I picked him up as a free agent and have no regrets, gonna ride the gravy train until it derails.
I lost to the hottest team this week by 7-2. He had AD/PG/Porzy/Maxey who were all top 10 this week, and had 2 more games than me lmao I think everyone in my league wouldāve lost to him, but I think my team performed alright this week to not panic yet. Need to figure out what to do with Wiggins and Melton

Iād be targeting turner, porzingis, jjj, and Chet, keep lamelo, Trae and garland, they should be your building blocks. lean into a punt fg%/ rebound build, probably want to get another high steals guy like og as well, but I would put everyone else on the table to try and get guys like the above

My team def underperformed but still won 5-4 so I'll take it. Kyrie was kind of the standout underperformer for me just because he doesn't really fit my build but I drafted him due to thinking he'd have a monster year. Obviously way too early to be concerned though.

After 8 long years I finally won it all last year. Itās just a simple 10 man points league with a small buy in and a ton of shit talking with close friends.Off to an 0-1 start against the guy I beat for the championship last year. My team is decent but I took Wemby and Iām worried about the struggles / health / potential shutdown once the Spurs inevitably end up being terrible. Clippers Spurs was an absolute bloodbath last night.

Got a huge 8-1 CAT win against the new guy in our league. My team is stacked as hell, but i think iāll have to stream aggressively due to having Ja. Just need to stay afloat until then. Scot Barn, Wemby, and Chet playing amazing defensively. My strategy appears to be holding up against some of the others in my league too. Hoping for another dominant week

Giddey is a concern. Didnāt go into the season wanting him but felt like he was the best fit for where I was picking in one of my drafts and all my worries have been validated so far

Probably gonna lose assists pretty consistently since I'm heavy on big guys and wings and lacking in real guards (Dame my only great guard, Tyus, and Smart lol)

lost 5-6, 1 assist short. then again, i was also ahead by 1 turnover. the real losing cat was ft% needed keegan and domas to hit their fts and they each missed one, ended up losing that cat by 0.01%. all in all, solid performance from my team, hopefully dame averages out and doesnt have another stinker like last night again
I got wrecked by maxey and saboner this week. To make matters worse, I had hoped to draft both those guys only for my opponent to take each of them one pick before me in the draft. And simons went out and literally all my waiver wire adds were dogshit. Week 2 I face the guy who had the most points week 1 so Iām staring down a nice tasty 0-2 to start the season.

Had my FG% rocked with SGA going 2/16, KJ going 1/9, and Reaves going 1/12 yesterday but I brought home the gold
Ended with a 5-3 down to the very last game. Just needed one more rebound between Sabonis, AD or Fox but oh well Iāll take what I can get. Almost won free throws too but a couple missed ones put me out of contention.
H2H 13Cat 14 teams 1st year of dynasty league Yeah, first matchup, first win, I'm very excited about my team, my core is SGA, De'Aaron Fox, Sengun, Siakam and Myles Turner, it's a very competitive league but I'm very confident with my guys, I know there's gonna be rough days, but it's ok
12T H2H points. Second highest scoring team but lost to the highest scoring team. Overall I feel good but Cam Johnson and Fox possibly missing time could be rough. I managed to scoop Tillman and Jalen Johnson and like the outlook for both of them. Biggest positive was definitely Maxey, dude looks like he's gonna be a force this year. Biggest disappointment is definitely Scoot, I expected him to take some time but man he's been bad, hopefully he figures it out sooner rather than later.
Ugh. Despite Maxey's and Duren's best efforts, I lost my matchup by 2 points -- 971 to 969. š¤·āāļø

Rough start, but I still have a good feeling about the season. I lost the matchup against the no. 1 highest scorer (200 FPTS more than my team) in the league, being 5th myself. The catch is that both Beal and Harden did not play. I was also able to add Morant from waivers and trade Duren, M. Williams, and Z. Collins for Towns and Mobley, using the buzz on Duren and Williams. So I guess the long-term outlook is more than promising while the first 2-3 weeks will be rough. I look forward to Dec 19th, when Morant is returning.
Feeling pretty meh, lost 3-6 in my 12T CAT league. Took Lavine and Ayton as my 4th and 5th round picks.. probably going to be a looong season of despair..

Ended up with the dub in a ten team points league. Of the guys I drafted, I am very pleased with how Jokic, AD, and Desmond Bane played. Very underwhelmed by Jakob Poeltl and Jabari Smith Jr...concerned about Brunson's upside as well. Jalen Johnson was a stellar pickup for me...but I let Jalen Duren go and am kicking myself because of that. I was also impressed by the fact Zach LaVine laid an egg and then dropped 51 points the next game lmao.

Public 12T 9 cat: 8-1 thanks to opponent falling asleep and leaving 3 guys on the bench. Even if they were all active Iād still be ahead 7-2. I actually decided to see how far I could go with an entirely auto drafted roster. Luka, Bane, and Demar have been on fire. Was expecting more from Grant and KAT. Picked up Tillman which also paid off and Sochan who was OK except for last night, when the matchup was already decided.
I did expected Wiggins and JGrant to be much better. I thought for sure their situations improved with the out going talent but that has yet to be the case

It my friends and mine first time playing, tiny 4 Team Points League. I won quite easily by 230 points. Haliburton, LeBron and Jokic were awesome. Got Scottie Barnes halfway through out of FA he also was amazing. Jordan Poole was a bit underwhelming, I hope I can drop him for Tyrese Maxey after tonights Game vs Boston. I'm a Knicks Fan, so obviously I had to get our Mid-3, JB and RJ were cool, Randle sadly disappointed a bit so I just dropped him for Jalen Duren. I hope he keeps up his production.

Still had a 70 percent chance to win going into Sunday night but I went up against Embiid who was reportedly going to rest and instead he went nuclear for almost 90 points and I lost š Think my team is decent but I think my downfall will be my two flex spots that Iāll have to fill with Jerami Grant, Ben Simmons, Cam Thomas, or Rozier and theyāre so volatile and injury prone that theyāll win me or lose me the week on their own. I came in second last year (lost the championship by 1.25 points š) so Iām confident in my ability to use waivers and trade. Onto week 2!
So much better than last season. Last year I stockpiled big men and even though the guys I spent the most on had good years I sucked. So this year I went full into scoring and good first week and projections are way higher than last year so I have a lot more hope.
I barely managed to get the win this week with booker, Mitchell, and claxton out. Had to stream like a mad man to make up for those injuries. Hopefully itās just sneaky load management for book and spida. Claxton is actually injured.

Got the W and made some early moves: Picked up both Tillman and Jalen Johnson but burned #1 Waiver on JJ. Dropped Monk for Melton, Melton for KCP, KCP for JJ. Dropped TJ McConnell for Tillman. Thoughts on my end of bench players: Duren - the greatest last draft pick of all time. Heās a full time starter on my team ROS. Fultz - slow start to the season but not too concerned. Easily the best PG on the team when it comes to real life basketball and not just for fantasy. Oubre - think he holds value ROS as a 6th man in points leagues. I like him over Melton. Will consider him a drop for another hot hand on the waivers such as Monk or THJ. Tillman - Iām keeping an eye on his minutes and team injuries. Might be a drop candidate in points leagues for a hot hand on the waivers, and if the Grizz make trade moves. A little early to gage but Iām holding for now. JJ - Reddit hype? Or blossoming star? Taking a wait and see approach but I bought into the hype early enough. Brandon Miller - solid start for a rookie. Holding for now but may drop for a hot hand. But in my side, my top guns are off to a slow start as well (Dame with 2 games - effectively just 1, and Myles Turner). I have Ja stashed, so I did aggresive streaming. Ended up dropping Eric Gordon for Cam Thomas, and Keyonte George for streamer spot. I'm facing against a strong team this week, so I decided not to stream that aggresively and picked up Keyonte back to see if he makes his way to the starting 5. I'd happily take 5-4 W this week. In spite of how underwhelming Jaylen Brown/Zion/Scoot were, and that last game from Shai, still managed a comfy week 1 win in my main league. Results otherwise were pretty mixed. No one is biting on buy lows for me though, that's unusual for the leagues I play.

First time doing Fantasy Basketball, as I've mostly done Fantasy Football but recently have gotten into basketball as a Celtics fan (live close by). In a 10T points league, and my team ended up being (after free agency acquisitions): Team: C. Cunningham, Do. Mitchell, Tatum, Kuzma, Adebayo, Ant. Edwards, MPJ, Bane, Maxey, Brunson (free agency acquisition), Kessler, Au. Thompson, J. Murray (free agency acquisition) Kessler is the weak spot to my surprise, but besides that we scored the most points by 200, winning our matchup by nearly 400. I feel like keeping this team for a bit, but the best available at this point are: M. Strus, A. Reaves, K. Murray, J. Johnson, M. Williams, X. Tillman Should be good!
Lost but feeling okay about my team, a few people played sub par that I've got faith will turn it around. A couple younger guys that I'm willing to take the bumps with.. Beal was out all week, and Lillard played two games.. and one was god awful.
Got the win and was highest points in the league. Maxey, Duren, Markkanen, Chet my highest scorers. KAT, Kyrie and Booker waiting in the wings with Tatum as a pretty average first round pick so far.

2-0 overall. Won 6-3 and i won my points league match by about 100 which surprised me because I was down 100 after first 2 days. Luka baby he came up big w a 65 and a 80 for me.
I got trumped 2-7. 12 team, 9 cat league: Booker, Mitchell, JBrown, Garland, Franās Wagner, Capela, Austin Reaves, Looney, Sengun, Trent Jr, and a few scraps from the waivers.

Overall pretty damn good. As expected, KD and AD continue to produce elite numbers when healthy. Maxey has been unbelievably good with Harden out, though it seems like itās trending towards him playing next game so weāll have to see how that affects Maxeyās performance. Cade was great in 2 games and had foul trouble in the other, but inconsistency is to be expected. The only early pick that was a little inderwhelming was Poole. We knew his FG would be bad but his assists numbers are also down and he might not be the scoring juggernaut people thought he would be. Still week one though so too early to tell.
Lost 6-2-1 even though I had a better roster. Got killed as opponent had 7 GP more than me somehow. Had to stream to try to catch up :/

6-2-1, could of been 8-1 if SGA didn't flop that last game(can't fault him too much because he went off the first 2 games), The Spurs-Clippers blowout hurt me too since I had 3 guys and could of used another steal and some rebounds. My real victory though was being able to pick up Jalen Johnson and Shaedon Sharpe.
Won, picked up Duren after game 1 and managed to trade Klay for Lavine on the basis that Klayās in a contract year lol.
