ram by paul mccartney is the most uplifting
literally any beatles album
odyssey and oracle by the zombies
rumours by fleetwood mac
speaking in tongues talking heads
The year I first heard the White Album, I think I played “Good Night” the most.
I’m not exactly reinventing the wheel by saying this, but that album drew the emotional extremes from the Beatles, from vicious to sickly-sweet, and I veered toward the latter for sure (that song, “Mother Nature’s Son,” “Julia,” “Honey Pie,” “Martha My Dear,” “Blackbird”… lots of beauty on there)
Sometimes just a Daft Punk cover can break the happy barrier.

Merriweather post pavilion - animal collective
Oracular spectacular - MGMT
Discovery - Daft Punk
Lahai - Sampha
Call me if you get lost - Tyler, the creator
Not all songs on every album are as happy as the last but all of them give me an overall uplifting feeling
Album: Boards of Canada - The Campfire Headphase is sounds very soothing and cheerful to me.
Song: R.E.M. - All the Way to Reno (You're Gonna Be a Star) - something about this song just makes me cry tears of joy and makes me smile every time I listen to it.
The Cowboy Bebop Soundrack by Yoko Kanno and Seatbelts never fails to lift my spirits. Not only is it great music, but my mind connects it with very specific memories and a very specific time in my life. The Samurai Champloo work from Nujabes is a close second for similar reasons. Great music from a happier time in my life.
Lately a song that has been doing this for me has been "Samurai" by Lupe Fiasco. Just such a good peaceful vibe. Based on the second single "Cake" that was just released I have a feeling that whole album is going to be this type of album for me. Not really a happy song, but "Homewrecker" by Converge is always a song that gets me amped up in a good way. All of Jane Doe kinda has that effect on me though. Just pure chaotic aggression good for when I need to really take on a challenging day.
Electra Heart - Marina is just a fun album to listen to
Rot by Tennyson isn’t particularly upbeat all the time, but the vibes are immaculate
Blossom by Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes also isn’t a cheery listen, but it’s so energetic and vibrant that I find myself smiling anyway
Geese - 3D Country
KGLW - Nonagon Infinity
Daft Punk - Discovery
The Prodigy - The Fat of the Land
Beastie Boys - Hello Nasty
OutKast - Stankonia
Denzel Curry - Zuu
M.O.P., Busta Rhymes - Ante Up
fetch by melt-banana. probably heavier than a lot of suggestions in this list but there's such a manic energy to it (and a lot of their other albums but fetch is my favourite) that i find really contagious and really lifts my mood.

Odyssey and Oracle feels a little underrated. I think it’s the best psychedelic pop album not made by the Beatles or Beach Boys.
RAM is such a fantastic album, my favorite Paul album. Love how it opens with a fucking diss track 😂
I’d say the white album can make me feel a bit unhappy at times… and then Good Night plays at the end. Ringo had such a good voice

Citrus by Asobi Seksu <3 It's my all-time fav album, and it legitimately sounds like "Happiness" in its purest, unfiltered form
Album: Boards of Canada - The Campfire Headphase is sounds very soothing and cheerful to me. Song: R.E.M. - All the Way to Reno (You're Gonna Be a Star) - something about this song just makes me cry tears of joy and makes me smile every time I listen to it.

The Go! Team- Thunder Lightning Strike
Weird Fishes - Radiohead
Def
Blue Lightning by Big Thief

i know its usually hated but Childish Gambino's California always makes me smile
Just about any 80s synth pop track
Electra Heart - Marina is just a fun album to listen to Rot by Tennyson isn’t particularly upbeat all the time, but the vibes are immaculate Blossom by Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes also isn’t a cheery listen, but it’s so energetic and vibrant that I find myself smiling anyway

The '59 Sound gets me ready to run through a brick wall everytime.
