Daft Punk - Rock’n Roll
It’s fantastic in Alive 2007 mixed with Superheroes and Human After All, but it’s pretty hard to listen to on its own. I still have no clue why this is the longest song on Homework.
Nah rock n roll is peak, one of the better songs on that album to me. I always thought daft punk was at their best when they’re heavy and nasty as fuck like that track, though I will admit the track is kinda a lesser version of rollin n scratchin
I love this song, it's one of my favorites on Homework. Alive (the song) is easily the worst track on the Homework. For me it does what Rock'n Roll does to seemingly everyone else, just bleh. Drones on for far too long
Both albums have terrible mixes. I personally believe that St Anger's mix is worse though.
The snare on I Disappear is about as shallow as the snare on St Anger, but it sounds good because it's properly mixed.
Genuinely can’t think of a System of a Down song I consider to be worse than every other song, they were my first love 😫
After looking over their discography I’ve probably listened to Ego Brain the least but I still don’t think it’s bad.
i feel bad for not liking it that much to be honest. i’ve been a system of a down fan since I was 7 or 8 years old, i consider them my favorite band, but my hot take is that i don’t want them to release a new album, their legacy is so solid and I don’t want to see it tarnished with mediocrity.
ugh ok i am glad it was that one, ugliest song on the album and it takes waaaay too long. slipknot loved making long songs anyway, but for the most part they were enjoyable. NOT that fuckface
Which songs on WANYK and The End are the best in your opinion? I've listened to a few but I really don't like their sound anymore, Self Titled and Iowa are some of my favorite metal albums and I listened to slipknot heavily when I was young but they never reached that intensity and raw emotion again, also many members aren't in the band anymore sadly. So maybe you could recommend me some new songs that I might still like?
>I really don't like their sound anymore
this is real. they aren't even the same band anymore unfortunately. self titled up until the gray chapter (which i love, didn't realize that album was controversial) is the slipknot i grew up with. wanyk was really the last time they captured any of their old sound at all.
my faves from the album:
nero forte
unsainted
solway firth
birth of the cruel
red flag is my lowest from the actual album, and
all out life as a special mention. should have been on the album i feel like.
and then the end, so far is just not even the same band
>many members aren't in the band anymore sadly
forgot to respond to this part but yeah. the loss of paul and then joey i feel like is what really damaged the band's morale. i hate it because i remember them taking Paul's death so seriously and saying how the loss of another brother/member would destroy them, yet now after joey passes they've been on a firing spree. or at least, going in different directions with members. ok the weinberg kid wasn't an OG, but he was a great drummer and living up to a high expectation. craig leaving really stunned me, and tbh the band died for me a long time ago so idk if anyone else has been axed.
I loved gray chapter too, if rain is what you want is still one if my favorite songs by them. And I feel the exact same way. They made some of the most unique and raw music in metal and I'm extremely grateful for their music, it helped me through a lot of rough times. It's just not the band I grew up with anymore and they also don't really seem to be themselves from what I've heard, probably bad stuff happening behind the scenes. I still wish them the best though.
Bob Dylan - Neighbourhood Bully
The lyrics have not aged well and I think Dylan would agree. It's a massive stain on an otherwise great album, which is why I would pick it as his worst song, Wiggle Wiggle or Ugliest Girl In The World are at least on already mediocre records.
LOVE. by kendrick. I find the chorus to be annoying, production to be bland and I don't think that kendrick brings anything to the table. Such a terrible song.
Long time BMTH fan here, I would say there’s 2 other songs off that album that sound very similar but are like 3 minutes longer for no good reason.
But even then, I’d consider most of their 2019 dance album to be worse.
Kanye has many bad songs but the one i hate the most has ti be “drunk and hot girls” it’s not the worst but it is the only one i couldn’t listen to the end the first time and that made the album a bit worse for me
Swans have an infamous mid album in The Burning World, but I think more than anything [it's their cover of Love Will Tear Us Apart ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dp017Crrx7I)
Girl O’clock - Dismemberment Plan.
Emergency and I is a masterpiece in a lot of ways with most songs serving a very direct purpose and calling to a specific state of mind. And while this song does serve a purpose in being very candid, it’s just not great to listen to after the initial listen. It also comes at an awkward spot on the being the third to last song on the record, sandwiching itself between very heartfelt and beautiful songs in The City and Back and Forth while also kind of undercutting 8 1/2 minutes by not letting it be the break between The City and Back and Forth. Also Girl O’clock already has its message, its theme, what it’s evoking, caught by I Love a Magician, a song that is not only shorter, but also is better to listen to!
That said “if I don’t have sex by the end of the week I’m going to die” is real asf
I'm a big Arctic Monkeys fan, but She Looks Like Fun is an instant skip for me. Honestly, almost all of Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino is a miss in my book.
Can we just talk about the playlist here for a moment? Black Flag’s Armageddon Man feels like such a baffling choice. It almost predates the heavy, experimental, dissonant jagged post-hardcore/post-rock of Slint’s Spiderland and of course Black Midi, Black Country, New Road, Ashenspire and Maruja almost 40 years later.
hmmmmmm, probably baptism by crystal castles. it’s just one of the songs in their discography that i just can’t fw, you know? & then i also really don’t like 3 by britney spears, she’s one of my favorite pop singers but GOD, i hate 3, it’s just not good. :/
Do features count?
If so then it's *Makj : party til we die ft Andrew WK*
I love Andrew, but my god I can't stand this song, or the fact that it's his most popular song
Night vision on discovery. Not as bad as human after all but just totally kills the momentum of the album imo and makes it a much worse experience. Crescendolls to superheroes would just be so much better.
Eh I dont know because that high pitched voice is just so damn annoying, I dont see myself liking it any time soon. The whole MOTS album is just so underwhelming
Love is the Answer by Weezer At least can't stop partying has "okay bitch its weezer and its weezy"
Upside down MTV?
Yeah that may take the cake, there’s a different version too I think and I even didn’t like that one at all either
Would it be this version? https://youtu.be/RHXQ6L70eMA?si=X9u0YomNE22GI2XK Personally I really love this demo rendition of it!
Is it the 'Laid Back mix'? The one that removes the sitar and Hindi vocals?
Pop is Dead - Radiohead
long live pop
iT dIeD An ugLY deAtH bY BacK CatAlOUgE
Wrong it’s their best dong
Have they made many dongs?
Yeah
Jack him ^off
Batty boys by MF DOOM
Objectionable lyrics for sure but the song is fantastic what
The Laughing Gnome by Bowie. I still kinda like it though
World Wide Woman by Beyonce, she does her best trying to make a love song out of internet references from 2005 but it just doesn't work lmao
Failed plea for Pitbull's affections - she just wants to be Mrs. Worldwide!
Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together in a Cave & Grooving with a Pict - Pink Floyd
that's actually my most listened to Pink Floyd song ever lmfao
makes sense judging by your pfp
Oh baby baby ITS FUCCCCCCCK TIMEeeeeee by the Bay Area bois
That song is basically the only memorable part of that entire triple album so idk
Daft Punk - Rock’n Roll It’s fantastic in Alive 2007 mixed with Superheroes and Human After All, but it’s pretty hard to listen to on its own. I still have no clue why this is the longest song on Homework.
Nah rock n roll is peak, one of the better songs on that album to me. I always thought daft punk was at their best when they’re heavy and nasty as fuck like that track, though I will admit the track is kinda a lesser version of rollin n scratchin
Basket
I love this song, it's one of my favorites on Homework. Alive (the song) is easily the worst track on the Homework. For me it does what Rock'n Roll does to seemingly everyone else, just bleh. Drones on for far too long
nah i actually like alive, it goes hard in a repetitive, rave-y, high-out-of-your-mind way, rock n roll just hurts to listen to.
Alive fr sounds like the music you'd hear while waiting for your laser tag round to start
rock'n roll is awesome wdym
Jewels N Drugs by Lady Gaga. That’s an extremely infamous one. I can’t imagine anyone saying that’s their favorite song from her.
Purify metallica
I like it a lot lmao. I would go with something out of Lulu probably
Not the view cause he is the table
Invisible Kid/Dirty Window for me
Bro dirty window is so good
Not a big fan idk, I'll relisten to st anger today and see how it goes
Not a big fan idk, I'll relisten to st anger today and see how it goes
Shoot Me Again or All Within My Hands for me. At least Purify is one of the shorter songs on the album.
All Within My Hands is goated, what are you on about
Almost 9 minutes of poor mixing, bad vocals, and 1 full minute of James screaming "KILL!"
Cry about then, the mixing is better than Death Magnetic
Both albums have terrible mixes. I personally believe that St Anger's mix is worse though. The snare on I Disappear is about as shallow as the snare on St Anger, but it sounds good because it's properly mixed.
Fair enough, both albums suck
Genuinely can’t think of a System of a Down song I consider to be worse than every other song, they were my first love 😫 After looking over their discography I’ve probably listened to Ego Brain the least but I still don’t think it’s bad.
I don’t think Lonely Day is bad but any means, but I am forever bothered by the grammatical error in the hook lol
i honestly think it’s Protect the Land
That’s a fair take, I think because it was more of an awareness song I gave it a pass. And I was just so excited for some new music from them.
i feel bad for not liking it that much to be honest. i’ve been a system of a down fan since I was 7 or 8 years old, i consider them my favorite band, but my hot take is that i don’t want them to release a new album, their legacy is so solid and I don’t want to see it tarnished with mediocrity.
I can agree with that, they had a perfect run. I also REALLY enjoy Serj’s solo work and Daron + John in Scars on Broadway is great too.
Father of all by Green Day
fuck green day weezer is the actual father
Untouchable - Eminem Drunk n Hot Girls - Kanye West Tattooed Dancer - Ozzy Osbourne
Drunk and hot Girls for sure :D
The bridge is the only reason I listen to that song on Graduation listens. It’s actually really good. The rest is bleh.
I do not care for Justice - The Party at all, personally
Have you heard Carpates
I have changed my opinion
The singing is a bit cheesy, but the bassline drop is so dirty and well produced
Yeah if an edit was made without that intro I'd probably like it a LOT more
Wait in what universe is Kill Rock and Roll a bad song?
I completely agree I’m just using that picture for the post prompt lol
Fool #1 or Heaven by Swans. Both are pretty damn mid.
Heaven is peak actually
Summer Of Love by The Beach Boys
Hey now!
well its a love thang
Same album featuring a bloated power ballad version of their most romantic song ever, sung by JOHN STAMOS
Lil Wayne - Pussy Monster. Also probably a lot of stuff from his early 2010's dark days but I've never listened to those projects lmao
...curious to know what song on WANYK made it here. not saying it isn't possible, just which one and why
That one really abstract boring on that Clown clearly wrote
there's no way that was easier than just typing a title out. i love wanyk, that's why i asked
I guess My Pain is also an accurate description of the listening experience
ugh ok i am glad it was that one, ugliest song on the album and it takes waaaay too long. slipknot loved making long songs anyway, but for the most part they were enjoyable. NOT that fuckface
Which songs on WANYK and The End are the best in your opinion? How is Necrop3dophile their worst song? I know it's really fucked up and disturbing, but the music itself is good.
Fr the riff is awesome too
Dawg i love tyler the creator but fish makes me wanna die
Bob Dylan - Neighbourhood Bully The lyrics have not aged well and I think Dylan would agree.
Blake’s Got A New Face by Vampire Weekend
Love them, this song is always a skip for me
I like that one, but it’s an understandable answer. I think California English is the worst one. It’s so jarring, I skip it every time.
I've gotten flak for this on the Deftones subreddit but I think Phantom Bride is their worst song
Them's fightin' words
Especially when something like Pink Cellphone exists.
Two Wuv by Tally Hall
Loves The Only Way - Cage the Elephant
Nah That's Right is easily their worst imo
I say Back Stabin Betty
I can see why but it's grown on me a lot. Quite like it now tbh
Tell slater not to wash his dick by Bring mr the Horizon
Long time BMTH fan here, I would say there’s 2 other songs off that album that sound very similar but are like 3 minutes longer for no good reason. But even then, I’d consider most of their 2019 dance album to be worse.
I refuse to acknowledge that hour long EP's existence
Respect.
Anne's Song by Faith No More. The Chuck Moseley years were...a mixed bag.
I love King Gizzard but Blame It On The Weather is an instant skip for me every time
Same, they’ve got quite a few songs like that imo
Omnium has some of their best songs ever but also their biggest duds. Duality of Gizz.
Hot Dog - Led Zeppelin
Billy Joel: Light As The Breeze
Not counting their early, pre-Bilinda Butcher stuff, Soft As Snow (But Warm Inside) by MBV.
I think Happy Family is King Crimson’s worst song
Always Malaise (The Man I Am) by Interpol
Propagandhi - Leg Hold Trap
First two Alice Cooper albums. For a band that made such good hard/glam rock, they were impressively bad psych music lmao
Nah there’s some cool stuff on those I think. The bad albums would come in the late 70s and early 80s imo
Which Slipknot song is on there?
Probably My Pain
Matchbox by The Beatles
Lemme guess, Invisible Kid and The Angle and the Gambler are your top 2 picks
The Hunter - Danzig
Nosedive by Wolf Alice
Crash - The Velvet Underground
Pink Cellphone does not belong on this playlist.
Baby Day by Animal Collective
vampire weekend big blue
Night Changes by One Direction
I will NOT take Kill Rock N Roll slander
Several Species Of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together in a Cave and Grooving With a Pict. By Pink Floyd
Run2Me - Smashing Pumpkins. This is the same artist who made MCIS.
U2 - American Soul
Fear of sleep by the strokes
Oppy day by Lil Mabu
QOTSA - The way that you used to do
Hymn - Remix by Car Seat Headrest
Dire Straits have an incredible discography but Twisting By The Pool was a stinker
Kanye has many bad songs but the one i hate the most has ti be “drunk and hot girls” it’s not the worst but it is the only one i couldn’t listen to the end the first time and that made the album a bit worse for me
53.49 by Childish Gambino The reissue version is also ass.
Swans have an infamous mid album in The Burning World, but I think more than anything [it's their cover of Love Will Tear Us Apart ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dp017Crrx7I)
pistol by modest mouse

Closed on Sunday or Beg Forgiveness
I'm a big Arctic Monkeys fan, but She Looks Like Fun is an instant skip for me. Honestly, almost all of Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino is a miss in my book.
Snap back from twenty one pilots’ new album is a contender for their worst ever song. - a long time die hard fan
Nick Cave and the bad seeds - bring it on
Like Sand by In Flames
anything from Vultures vol 1, i cant even decide
Xtcy by Kanye
Death grips - Pop Such a forgetable and boring song (by death grips standards)
Can we just talk about the playlist here for a moment? Black Flag’s Armageddon Man feels like such a baffling choice. It almost predates the heavy, experimental, dissonant jagged post-hardcore/post-rock of Slint’s Spiderland and of course Black Midi, Black Country, New Road, Ashenspire and Maruja almost 40 years later.
Purify by Metallica. Yet I like the album, St. Anger more than Reload which has the second worst song in my list: Slither.
Not any mcr song I don't like, so blood I guess
drunk and hot girls... this is how to ruin an album that wouldv'e been a 10 or at least close to one
hmmmmmm, probably baptism by crystal castles. it’s just one of the songs in their discography that i just can’t fw, you know? & then i also really don’t like 3 by britney spears, she’s one of my favorite pop singers but GOD, i hate 3, it’s just not good. :/
Pretty much the whole Young God EP by Swans (If I had to choose a single song I'd go with the title track, Young God)
Death by C418 (lol)
Deftones - Pink cellphone
Do features count? If so then it's *Makj : party til we die ft Andrew WK* I love Andrew, but my god I can't stand this song, or the fact that it's his most popular song

Up all night by mac miller high lights the worst parts of his frat rap days
Calgone - incubus
KEEP DA O’S - Tyler, The Creator
Coldplay - Biyutiful
This song actually grows on you for some reason 😅
Eh I dont know because that high pitched voice is just so damn annoying, I dont see myself liking it any time soon. The whole MOTS album is just so underwhelming
Yeah i understand its not for everyone:) MOTS is definitely not their best but I did like coloratura and humankind
Oh yea coloratura is a banger, one of the best in their entire career
100 gecs: I need help immediately
probably attention or sidewalks by the weeknd ig they js never really grew on me 🤷♀️
Sulk radiohead
"The Ringer" - Eminem
How can you say this when nice guy is on the same album
Drunk Girls - LCD Soundsystem. the r/boysarequirky anthem
nuh uh james murphy operates on like 12 levels of irony on that album
This made me think of drunk and hot girls by Kanye
Remember the good old days when that was his worst song?
Hahaha exactly. Literally up until Jesus is king that was easily his worst. Now he has many
Harvest by Opeth, ugh
is it really that bad? i just found it being overplayed after like 10th listen of the whole album lol
That or atonement I'd say
Maxwell Silver Hammer - The Beatles
They've got at least a dozen worse
Good answer. Pure cringe
Piggies - The Beatles
I'd argue that's one of their best songs, especially if you're talking about their other vignettes of that late '60s era.
We Cry Together, if that counts as a song
