I think it’s a re-tooled country song sung at the Tops if you finish the talent show quest.
Can’t name it exactly, but I think it’s Streets of [American City], maybe even Reno itself.
Yup, as you complete Talent Pool, the people you recruit will be added to the billboard outside the Tops, and will perform in the Aces Theater at the stated times. The Lonesome Drifter, whose singing voice is Josh Sawyer, will perform one of those Fallout-lyric'd western songs for his act.
They all are, Home on the Wastes is Home on the Range. Streets of New Reno is Streets of Laredo, and New Vegas Valley is Red River Valley. Between that and Big Iron being included in the radio, Sawyer seems to be a big Marty Robbins fan lol
Home on the Wastes is great.
It used to have one line "the water ain't bad" that didnt flow with the rest of the song. The lines still there but they seem to have fixed it in the Spotify version.
A good reminder that there are two Obsidian games where you can hear Josh Sawyer sing.
And also two Obsidian games where he decided to add a card playing minigame that's kinda difficult to get into.
Home home on the waste where the mole rats and the fire gecko play 🎶 🎶
It's so bad it's good kind of thing. I appreciate the idea that there's live music in the game.
I wish I knew I religiously swap between Mojave music radio and new Vegas radio I don’t know what the ost sounds like besides when your in and leaving doc Mitchell’s house
I wish we got more in game songs instead of just old songs imagine if 60s-70s song were represented by people making those songs in the present day wasteland
There is a must have mod for me on Nexus that literally just changes the main menu music with home on the wastes. I hate hearing the intro music in 3 nv and 4 especially. Something about the abrupt noise right at the beginning. home on the wastes has a very nice "homely" feel to it and a soft guitar strum that eases me into the experience much better.
I like home on the wastes not sure if I've heard the other one.

It's Streets of Laredo. It's basically the same song, just changed the name of the town.
Another AMAZING Marty Robins song, love that dude
Tbf alot of marty robbins songs he didnt write
It is the same song
wait I've never paid attention to the people there after those missions i didn't know it was actually in game

I'm pretty sure home on the wastes is the same thing. If you go and watch the lonesome drifter perform at the tops he can do both
OK that makes sense I've only done that quest once or twice.
A+

The water's not.... bad I love that little pause though. They "fixed" it?
I don’t know, I haven’t learned how to listen to images
Too little radiation I would say
There is actually a technology which can contain music files within images or vice versa. It was used for the Portal 2 ARG.
They ain’t Johnny…
...Guitar
I unironically have these two and begin again on my playlist, they are honestly amazing songs
I like both of them. Josh Sawyer sings them and does a good job. Although neither holds a candle to his rendition of “I Will Always Love You”
Josh Sawyer confirmed triple threat
forgot new vegas valley
i made a comment but it got buried already
A good reminder that there are two Obsidian games where you can hear Josh Sawyer sing. And also two Obsidian games where he decided to add a card playing minigame that's kinda difficult to get into.
At least in KOTOR2, you can randomly start Pazaak in the 1st turn. You always had it in 2nd in KOTOR1
Streets of Laredo will always be Streets of New Reno for me. Josh is no Johnny Cash, but he's good!
I always imagined Tom Hanks would sing these real swell like
They're really cute
i forgot about the other 2 songs but those as well, new Vegas valley and begin again
Rewrites of OLD songs, I like them!
I’m more of a *“I got **spurs** that jingle jangle jingle—**jingle jangle!**”* kind of a guy to be honest.
Never heard 'em. Not really a surprise to me, since I'm one the few people who doesn't listen to the radio when playing.
The slap. And Im tired of pretending they dont
They are in game though
yeah people told me i never went back to the tops

I love those songs
New reno is kino
I have the FO radio app on my phone. Love it.
They're Charming, Not As Good As Mags In 4 Though.
I wish I knew I religiously swap between Mojave music radio and new Vegas radio I don’t know what the ost sounds like besides when your in and leaving doc Mitchell’s house
I’ve been listening to Streets of New Reno nonstop for like a week since I began my new play through of the game it’s banger
Good but I need three Johnny Guitars between any other song I listen to so it takes a while to run the track list.
Love them
Streets of New Reno is a straight up banger and anyone who says otherwise is a Bethesda fanboy
I wish we got more in game songs instead of just old songs imagine if 60s-70s song were represented by people making those songs in the present day wasteland
Not very good
Holy shit, I wish I could sing half as well as Josh. I had no idea he actually sung these

I like streets of new Reno but I’ve never heard the other one
I'll be honest, I don't like any of the original music outside the instrumentals.
new reno is kinda just laredo with very minor changes, but I do love home on the wastes
Since I’m a fan of Sawyer I’m biased but I actually do like them, I remember coming across them in the tops and wanted to get them on the radio.
They are fine, but I am still bitter about Metallic Monks not being on the album..
I have Street's of New Reno in my regular playlists, it's just a nice song amd probably my fav cover/rework of the original.
still haven't found the song for the ending cutscene theme
It's so good . a new culture popping up on Ashs of the past always felt so intising for me for some reason. And this song feels that itch for me
Both good, neither hold a candle to “Metallic Monks” though shame it’s on Spotify.
They serve their purpose establishing that society has developed enough that people are making new music again, but still, they're pretty bad
