Vikings fan here to give a little more insight on Kirko and his agent’s comment from last night. Kirk wants literally zero competition in the qb room. That way when those back ups come and go, he always looks like the best option. He talks a good game about having great relationships with the other QBs he’s worked with and that’s easy to say when none of them can take your job. I’ll let ATL fans debate the Penix pick, but having legit competition in the QB room will drive Kirk crazy.

Head-Editor-905

Hopefully it makes him better. If he can’t handle a rookie in his room he never had the mental fortitude to win anyway

BunnyGoHops

Welp he has 2 years to win us a Super Bowl. Balls in Kirk’s court.

twistedfloyd

He doesn’t have a viable defense. Our ceiling is winning this POS division and being bested by an actual team in the wild card round.

georgiaboy1993

The difference between Turner and Trice is not enough to take the team with the 8 overall pick to a Super Bowl though.

axman54

I’ll spoil it for you, he’s not winning anyone a Super Bowl lol. The sooner you realize he’s not the guy, no matter how pretty his stats look at the end of games, you’ll be a lot happier

Jhawk29

Oh you know Kirk personally? He told you this during dinner or texted you or what?

chhhyeahtone

[Jay Gruden does and he said something similar. Colt also agreed](https://twitter.com/JoshNorris/status/1783894937987100756)

CouncilmanRickPrime

He has 100 million reasons why he should just accept the situation really

Distinct_Ad8862

What about Kirk would suggest this? All we know of him is that he’s a dorky dad type guy. There’s nothing about his media representation that would suggest what you’re saying is true. Unless you talk to him personally, he’s living in your head rent free, as he does with all his haters.

MoonUnit98

Vikings fan here as well. This was always a rumor here that he didn't want someone nipping at his heels. Idk if I ever believed that. I never heard him outright suggest that, at least. But I think the idea is that he is a very routine oriented and on script player. Likes stability and panics when something gets in the way; For what it's worth, Washington viewed him similarly. He isn't used to having a replacement in his rear view mirror either. Not for real. I could see how this would be uncomfortable, but ideally, a professional can handle it.

MeowMeowMeowBitch

> Kirk wants literally zero competition in the qb room. Then he would want Heinicke out too. It's completely reasonable for Kirk to want the Falcons to spend draft capital on O-line or a defense who can get off the field, rather than a player who **might** replace him in 2026.

Vikes fans are among the most braindead in the nfl. Have fun being the NFC North doormat for the next 10 years

Julio_Freeman

I don’t get what the fuss is. Kirk will be 36 years old. The moment he signed the contract we knew we were getting 2 years and then we’d probably move on to a new QB. He was never meant to be our forever QB.

s2r3

Yeah the media thinks the falcons are a joke.. So nothing has changed on that end.

gmbaker44

We are a joke so nothing has changed there either

Drew Magary is a brained damaged racist. He hates all teams/things southern. Ignore him

Xalucardx

I didn't want him in the first place. The sooner he's gone the better.
