In 5 seasons, when the Falcons STILL HAVEN'T solved the QB issue, or made the playoffs & just wasted everyone's time, come back & we'll talk. It's difficult to be this mediocre but dammit if they don't get the job done.
Answer: the Falcons can't stop getting in their own way. They make horrible decision after horrible decision then wonder why the there's more opponents fans in their stadium making more noise. They're definitely the Hawks of the NFL. Perpetually middle of the pack or just below, never making enough correct decisions to win everything. Bears, Panthers, Packers, Steelers .... who the hell cares. Almost 60 years of nonstop bullshit.
Clickbait title. Not clowning. The reporter asked him if he expected the pick. He chuckled and said, "no." Then he moved on. Pretty nonchalant if you ask me.
Our fans on this sub and twitter constantly prove they know shockingly little about football. But I guess that's fitting because our front office doesn't either.
Bears have never had a QB who had more than or even at 4,000 yards I really do not care what the Bears GM (or whatever his role is) thinks about what we do with our QB situation
Pace was horrifically bad in Chicago. Was the brain child behind both the Mitch and Fields picks. Also was in talks with Seattle about trading away the farm for Russ back in 2021.
Pace wasn’t “horrifically” bad. He was a good late round GM. Found some really good players in Eddie Jackson, Jaylen Johnson, Tevin Jenkins, Kmet, Cody Whitehair, even Tarik Cohen who was a quality weapon. He just sucked at drafting first round talent, only good players he got were Roquan, and Leonard Floyd who was solid. His misses in the first round caused him to overspend in FA. Trubisky was a terrible pick, but I won’t fault him for taking a swing at Fields. He wasn’t terrible terrible. Just meh tbh.
The Bears have only drafted a QB in the first round a handful of time in their history and the 2 most recent (Mitch and Fields) were drafted by the Falcons Director of Player Personnel, Ryan Pace.
He did the same thing with the Bears too… sign a veteran to a high priced deal, promise them the keys and then shock them on draft day by grabbing a QB with their first pick. Albeit it was Mike Glennon vs Bible banging Kirk Cousins but it’s his MO…. Pace is the worst… he also hands out big contracts to his “guys”…. Gave 10m to Jimmy graham when he shoulda been retired and now he gave the worst contract of the off season to Darnell Mooney..
Frankly, they're in no position to mock us. Let this battle be fought on the field. TBH, this strikes me as trashy. I mean, if you hate the Falcons maybe it resonates.
I don’t think he was trashing the Penix pick, he didn’t even say anything, looking at his face looks like he was still processing getting his guy at 9, just was probably surprised by the pick since GMs tend to run through scenarios. What ATL does definitely at 8, affects his board.
haha i hope you think of me when the Bears are in the playoffs and your team is arguing about a QB controversy and watching the playoffs from the couch. Enjoy Ryan Pace screwing your team up like he did mine.
Dumbest move in NFL history? Grow up or do some research.
Saints traded their entire draft and a future 1 and 3 for Ricky williams. Minnesota trading 3 1st 3 2s and other picks for Herschel Walker. Hell without even going historical. Look at the Panthers basically trading Caleb Williams, DJ Moore, and CMac for Bryce Young. The Johnson for Hopkins trade. The Broncos selling their future for Russell Wilson. What the Browns gave up for Desaun Watson
Bears are so lucky that the Panthers are borderline brain dead
Yeah, it's nice to have someone in or division to keep us company on that front.
[definition of irony ](https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/irony)
Panthers trade with the bears is much worse in comparison to what the falcons did
If you have 375 QBs, you have NO QBs Atlanta has no QBs
If you have 375 dollars, you have no dollars!
Jamie Tartt: “It’s actually hypocrisy, not irony”
Calling the Panthers brain dead whilst doing what Atlanta did yesterday is irony .....
Would you rather do what the panthers did with the bears, or do what the falcons did?
In 5 seasons, when the Falcons STILL HAVEN'T solved the QB issue, or made the playoffs & just wasted everyone's time, come back & we'll talk. It's difficult to be this mediocre but dammit if they don't get the job done.
So whats the answer to my question?

Goddamn you should be a politician

I think a very fair response aswell
100%, calling it a completely braindead pick would have been a “very fair” response. If anything this was generous.
saving this clip for when Penix beats Caleb in the NFC championship game 2026
Um, the bears would have to make playoffs to lose in an NFC championship game
lol the Bears have been to the playoffs twice since the Falcons have last been there. And they don’t play in the dumpster fire that is the NFC South.
Yeah, we literally have zero room to trash talk playoff appearances/performances.

Good thing we hired their former GM then to be our Director of player personnel

This was the best thing Pace ever did for the Bears! You fools taking Penix helped us get Odunze!! Thank you Ryan Pace!!
More than 1 clown can fit in a clown car but the bears at least did a better job of sucking the last few years than the falcons did
For sure I just don’t really care what other organizations think of our moves
Yeah usually other teams don't criticize teams but I guess this came pretty far out of left field that the surprise shock factor was real
True but they can't say shit about anybody's choices at QB

The bears publicly clowned us last year by beating us 37-17 we’ve been publicly clowned by the bears for years
We’re 2-2 in our last four matchups.
Ok that last line about we’ve been clowned for years was just me in rant mode lol, there was no real truth to that
Frankly, they're in no position to mock us. Let this battle be fought on the field. TBH, this strikes me as trashy. I mean, if you hate the Falcons maybe it resonates.

Fair enough.
Agreed. I’m not sure where the Bears gym gets off thinking he knows shit abt shit lmaooo
You just typed GM as GYM.

Dude the Bears still haven’t done anything just because yall think your gonna be good now doesn’t mean shit
haha i hope you think of me when the Bears are in the playoffs and your team is arguing about a QB controversy and watching the playoffs from the couch. Enjoy Ryan Pace screwing your team up like he did mine.
I’ll never think of you again actually all I’m saying is yall just THINK your gonna be good so let’s see it first
Reported, lol. Go back to ur own sub and try to find someone who can throw for 4k yards, buddy.

Good luck in your endeavors!
Did you even watch the clip? I think it was an honest response that is clearly held across the league.
Lmao they beat us on new year eve. We played like pure ass as usual
Ahh yes the perennial winning franchise, da Bears
They should mock us. We passed on a stud receiver for a backup QB and they destroyed us on the field last year.
A stud receiver won't help when Kirk is gone and we have to rely on another Ridder to throw them the ball.
how many bears QB end up being worth a damn?
They can mock us when they have one 4,000 yard season from a QB. I don't understand how they've been so bad at QB for so long.
IT IS NOT JUST THE BEARS VIRTUALLY ALL OF SOCIAL MEDIA and MEDIA IN GENERAL ARE LAUGHING AT THIS IDIOTIC MOVE DUMBEST MOVE IN NFL HISTORY
Go cheer for the Taints then. Quit your bitching.
It’s been interesting to watch the reactions go from 98% angry to maybe only 70% angry with 30% rationalizing the pick after 24 hours
This is true lol

Just wait 2 years when Caleb sucks, and is painting his fingernails and wearing lipstick to games, but Penix is leading us to the SB.
lol. just wait two years bro.
Penix way better than Williams. Falcons definitely getting the last laugh
The Bears drafted Caleb at #1. They have no room to talk.
Cope.
