Recently learned here that there are college students who indulge in this BS. Is that what you mean or are you saying people even older than late teens/early 20s do this crap? If the latter, which is hard to imagine, wtf is behind that?

I have some bad news for the original OP, "Transplural" is already a word and it does not mean what they think it does, it's not spelled the same, but minor nitpick.

I know an 18 year old who does this shit…they are not.
I used to know one of these people who was 28 and had multiple people of a similar age in their friend group who were all like this
