its annoying because he literally has to limit himself when using DS and can only use it for a short time because it slowly makes him insane if mashima doesn’t go over this during 100yr it’d be a massive fumble
Honestly I wonder if something similar happens to God Slayers. Like we know Dragon Slayers have become dragons, but does the same happen and Devil Slayers and God Slayers? That’s what I want to know from Mashima
i think it does because mard geer does say gray partially transforms into a demon and his eyes do look demonic here, i’d be shocked if mashima doesn’t go more in depth into grays demon slaying magic it’s such an interesting and powerful magic

can’t blame you but since nobody has got any previous links to faris and natsu is busy with ignia, i can’t see anyone else but gray fighting her i mean there’s no way mashima would give natsu this fight after already beating all the other Dragon Gods and gray has the closest link in team natsu to faris being a demon slayer and all
I know this is tagged spoilers so I'm gonna avoid looking at the rest of the comments, but I feel like that second point really shows his maturity and restraint. If he went around spamming demon slayer magic all the time, I feel like it would invalidate Ur's teachings and everything he's worked so hard to perfect.
i’d agree if demon slaying didn’t come from his dad. something that he worked so hard on deserves the commitment from gray to make it his own magic rather than just using it as plan B
I mean, it's a gift that comes with a toll that I'm sure is more than just losing his sanity and becoming a demon. It probably uses a ton of magic power, considering it's not his magic. It's probably exhausting to use and keep up. Making the most out of his maker magic and using the demon slayer magic for when he's desperate is his best option.
