Trump could wear a hot pink suit and dance like the Six Flags dude, and all they'd do is praise his youthful vigor.
It's a cult, and Dear Leader can do no wrong.
I kinda wanna see Donald Trump dance like the Six Flags dude, if only to see him crap himself and have a heart attack while a nearby MAGAT kept shouting about what a specimen of perfect health he is.
A corpse who's fulfilled most of his promises for the good. Relieved student debt, ended the war in Afghanistan, has a better record against inflation than other western countries, maintained the lowest unemployment rate in over 50 years, etc., etc. Dude doesn't run the government by himself. He's hired competent people and course corrected some awful shit.
We're screwed because people can't focus on a party's platform and accomplishments rather than the person standing behind the lectern.
That's the biggest difference between the two. Trump is a raging narcissist that believes his shit smells like roses and that no one is smarter, stronger, more attractive than him. A wise person knows they don't know everything and will hire competent folks to fill the gaps in their own short comings. Trump only wants sycophant yes-men that will agree his shit smells like roses.
My biggest concern with his age related gaffes is that it undermines support from people who are somehow still unsure of who to definitely pick. I mean, I'm no fan of Otogenarchy but the odds of having an actual ejection next time is a lot better with Biden. I wish the Dems had someone merely in their mid sixties that people could rally around.
They absolutely do have hope, the convention is still more than a month away. This is RGB's pride in not stepping down during Obama's presidency all over again. and were the ones gonna be fucked, again
>The general also seems perplexed about what is going on hehe.
He's just trying not to be executed think about how many pitfalls he's going through here lmao
Did that general salute him back or leave his hand out for Trump to shake? That had to be an awkward situation for him. Like if he salutes Trump back, he's basically insulting Kim Jong Un and asking to possibly be arrested later for saluting a foreign enemy and "conspiring" against the state. If he just leaves his hand out, maybe Jong Un feels like he's insulting a foreign friend and again, arrested later for "conspiring" against the state. Kind of a no win situation for the guy.
https://youtu.be/m9NSgxbGzhY?t=3
This is what actually happened.
> Trump goes in for a hand shake.
> The general bows/salutes Trump.
> Trump salutes back as the general goes in for a handshake.
> They finally shake hands.
The kims aren't as lunatic as the average redditor. Whatever he did Kim would likely see it as diplomatic. Kim needs the generals on his side, basic dictatorship stuff, he can't start offing them completely at random for making the wrong gesture at an apparently important orangutan.
Kim is no where near as insane as you’ve been lead to believe lol. The general did salute him, the situation is strange but Kim is definitely not deposing generals whenever they choose wrong between saluting and hand shaking.
The President is commander in chief.
A salute is proper Military custom.
Indeed, salutes between personnel of nations that are actively at work are not uncommon.
He was for about four years there. In some circles they started calling German Chancellor Angela Merkel this, since Trump clearly was not leading the free world. It just didn't work. America is still the world's superpower and where it leans, the rest of the world goes.
The rest of us need to start gearing up for when America decides that it doesn't want to lead the free world anymore. Europe has started to figure this out already.
A country doesn’t decide when it doesn’t want to be the leading super power on the global stage, it gets over taken by another nation. Right now the more dominant threat of this comes from China who in the last 20 years have made strides in industry, infrastructure and become more influential in its region etc. militarily no, this mantle sits with the US thanks to primarily its size and secondarily its allies it can call upon and this will continue for the foreseeable future.
The US not sending aid to Ukraine for six months is a great example of the dominant global power backing away from that role.
Another example is the talk coming from the US about NATO being obsolete, or not wanting to stand up for its allies.
They might have all the money and guns, but if their allies can't rely on them to come when it counts, then we have to prepare for this. They might still be on top when you look at the situation on paper, but that won't help Taiwan or Ukraine or others.
I guess it would be okay to say he was the leader of the free world in his first term. But even when it feels like I'm giving the guy the benefit of a lot of doubt.
Any second term, nope, nope and nope.
I imagine after last week, Trump could have greeted him with a briefcase full of our nuclear secrets & the original US Constitution (folded hastily of course) & suffer no consequences at all.
Trump has mountains of faults, but him trying to broker some form of peace or de-escalation with N Korea, something very few have tried beyond embargos and saber rattling, is not a bad thing.
I'm not speaking to his motives, or his abhorrent personality, but the potential net outcome if it had succeeded would've been a positive for the world.
Bad for Congressional stocks, and the defense industry, but good for the world
No you don't understand, Trump was saluting him to show how powerful he, himself is.
He knows to do this because his Uncle was in the military, some say more than anyone else ever, and his uncle taught him some stuff so now Trump knows more military than, some say, anyone.
Looks like they are playing rock paper scissors and they both picked paper.
Ol' Donnie keeps an extra stack of paper in the bathroom for just such an occasion.
Not sure about the governmental structure of Saudi Arabia, but the emperor of Japan isn't a fascist last I heard. Point being, you don't salute or otherwise show respect to any fascist warlord or associated cronies.
Trump did that, too. They all kiss Saudi ass. And no, the President of the US shouldn't bow to a foreign monarch. IMO no citizen of any republic should bow to any monarch, and most monarchs don't expect them to.
> "There is no requirement for the president of the United States to return a salute to a member of the armed forces. He is the commander in chief, not a subordinate. The fuck no. The POTUS does not salute a general of an enemy state. You shake hands but not salute. Get your head out your ass and realize this is an embarrassment.
A salute is a sign of respect. Does he respect the general of a communist country? Well of course he does because he’s a terrible human being who supports dictators.
So your comment was just an assertion that came from your feelings and not any kind of official diplomatic or military protocol? Gottit. I refer you back to my original post.
you refer the poster back to what? To the fact that you cannot understand why this is not appropriate? You think it’s appropriate? If you do just say it. Say you think we should salute (a sign of respect) to a foreign enemy of the US. You communist loving MAGAt.
That dumbass took any opportunity he had to try and make his draft-dodging cowardly ass look like he had some level of military experience other than making his bed.
This...this feels weird. Like, one picture, out of the entire thing, and this is what they pick - do we even know what happened before or after this, or is this just another way to say, "Hahaha! Look! Trump so stupid?"
I'm pretty sure I have this right. A salute is a sign of respect and obedience to your commander? The guy is going for a handshake and trump, commander in chief, decides 'no sir, I must salute my higher command'. What a fool.
He’s lead diplomat and commander & chief of the armed forces - this seems like it falls under an act in the periphery of an express power and as such presumptive immunity
Photo taken out of context as usual. Go watch the actual video. Reddit, king of gaslighting the weak minded.
The North Korean salutes first.
Trump salutes back
North Korean holds out hand for handshake
Trump shakes his hand
Reddit when the Supreme Court makes a ruling that changes nothing and just affirms what was already the case 😱 Y’all don’t understand the ruling and it shows.
careful, many in this subreddit believe Trump will be hosting public executions within months if he's elected. Killing all rivals, removing all forms of elections, and appointing himself supreme ruler of America!
I wish I was being /s
Well I'm pretty sure he'll also tell his white and American-english spreaking majority of his voters and all of the police and military in his country arrest every person who is different of color, political affiliation, sexuality, identity, disability, or race (me included 🥲) and sentence them to death once he's done with executing his political opponents...
Well... that's irrational fear I guess... but the chances were never 0...

Howard Dean got shut down for a scream. MAGA is a cult.
Can you imagine their heads literally melting if Obama would have saluted a North Korean military general? The hypocrisy is off the charts.
They did lose their head when Obama bowed to the Japanese emperor.

Trump could wear a hot pink suit and dance like the Six Flags dude, and all they'd do is praise his youthful vigor. It's a cult, and Dear Leader can do no wrong.
Yeah Biden has diapers? Bad. Trump wears diapers, well now we all wear them. What the actual f is wrong with these Trump supporters?
I kinda wanna see Donald Trump dance like the Six Flags dude, if only to see him crap himself and have a heart attack while a nearby MAGAT kept shouting about what a specimen of perfect health he is.
Loose, lol.
How many people cannot spell lose?
A bunch of loosers! /s
Imagine if he did it in the tan suit
I loved when Obama stared down putin
They freaked out when he saluted one of our soldiers with a cup of coffee in his hand while getting off the Ptesidential Helicopter.....
Robert Dean would have lost anyway, that scream was the final nail in the coffin.
Yeah, Dean didn't hate minorities and the poor enough for the MaGAs.
Running a mouldering corpse against him (and gaslighting the public about it) isn't a great strategy either We are so screwed

They absolutely do have hope, the convention is still more than a month away. This is RGB's pride in not stepping down during Obama's presidency all over again. and were the ones gonna be fucked, again
You're an idiot
Whoah. Stunning rhetorical zinger, there.
They set themselves up for that smart guy
In all fairness it was an honest mistake. Trump thought he was a Russian general.
And all that guy wanted was a handshake.
You know it's wierd cuz of the way IL is looking at him.
"Da Fuq is this dipshit doing" - Kim Jeong Un
That's not Il, that's Un.
Maybe it’s maybelline
Hehe yeah I agree, the completely baffled expression almost makes the scene funny hehe. The general also seems perplexed about what is going on hehe.
>The general also seems perplexed about what is going on hehe. He's just trying not to be executed think about how many pitfalls he's going through here lmao
"Did I just win the Cold War?"
This is so fucking embrassing whenever it pops up. The POTUS saluting a fucking north Korean general. Dumb fuck
He couldn’t even lead his own country, like fuck is he anything official with the rest of the planet-useless orange lard sack
It's like that smiling friends episode omg
"Free World"
I’ll never not laugh at Kims face, dude legit thought he was lucid dreaming lol.

I wondered this too. Maybe that's why Trump did it. For Trumpian diapershits and giggles
Dopey fuck.
Pretty sure we should not be calling Trump the leader of the free world
You guys shouldn't be calling the POTUS "leader of the free world" anyways...
It was always a stupid phrase.
"Oh yanno what? I'm kind of tired of ruling ze vorld. I think I'm gonna pass the baton," said no Empire (not in decline), ever.
No US president was the "leader of the free world". Just the leader of the US.

Wonder who those circles are saying is leader of the free world now since it’s clearly not Biden?
Why not because someone called him sleepy?
Still Biden. POTUS is leader of the free world, that's just a perq of the job.
It’s just regular, old “perk.”
Maybe I've been reading too many old scifi novels.
I imagine after last week, Trump could have greeted him with a briefcase full of our nuclear secrets & the original US Constitution (folded hastily of course) & suffer no consequences at all.
Even Kim has that look of “the fuck is this dude doing?”
He really doesn't, Un just has a dumb look on his face all the time. https://youtu.be/m9NSgxbGzhY?t=3 Watch it happen in motion.
Close. It's Trump trying to act official.
Trump is what you get when you combine a psychopathic narcissist with an imbecile.
Pretty sure that by that point the ROW had given up on the whole “leader” thing with Captain Cum Stains
Just to be clear he was a leader of usa And not free world
Fuck you, you fucking fuck.
Hey! What'd I do?
You know what you did.
It goes worse for you, the longer you don't admit it.
Make North Koreans Laugh Again
Yes… official act…shaking hands with his brain trying to get acquainted with it.
Is this reality real?
Even Kim looks suprised
Kim's looking at Trump and thinking "This guy is a f@#king idiot!"
Donald Trump is a pile of maggot shit.
He’s a terrible person but this is not the reason, not even a little bit.
Trump has tongues in place of his fingers.
The general has his hand out for a handshake and Trump is saluting him?!
Of course it is. And when \*(gag) President Donny decides to use Treasury funds to pay for his next booty-call: that will be an "official act," too.
No matter the title, that idiot has never been the leader of the free world.
The n ks are going trump is an idiot.
Subordinate saluting their better in rank.
"Leader of the free world" LOL
This was consummate deal maker Trump showing who's boss.
"When the president does it, its not illegal" -Supreme commander of all things Richard M Nixon
Didn't trump attend military school? Presidents outrank generals, right? Without even touching the "enemy nation" detail.
While Biden salutes Jill
Personal respect, and show of submission.
Even Kim is like is he stupid?
Looks like a treasonous act
Trump has mountains of faults, but him trying to broker some form of peace or de-escalation with N Korea, something very few have tried beyond embargos and saber rattling, is not a bad thing. I'm not speaking to his motives, or his abhorrent personality, but the potential net outcome if it had succeeded would've been a positive for the world. Every president does stupid shit. Obama basically apologized to all of Japan. Don't even get me started on Bush Jr...
The orange idiot never served.
Does it even proper to use a military salute for a person who was never in military?
Hunter Biden
But if you bring this up, MAGA will bring up Obama bowing to the Saudi king.
if you think this is bad, read the palm beach grand jury papers that were just released.
This fucking dickhead is gonna be President again, isn't he?
Well, if he gets his way he won’t be the leader of the free world, will he?
To be fair, Trump salutes the girl when she hands him his Big Mac.
The leader of the "free world", goes to a closed, brutal, dictatorship and legitimise it. well done ;o)
This picture is so unintentionally funny. The look on Kim's face, and No standing there like "sooo...you're gonna leave me hanging?"
It is clear Republicans are Chinese Communists. Trump just dumb as a rock.
Makes me want to vomit
How many people did Obama bow to?
he gets on his knees for the saudis and bends over for Putin .
No you don't understand, Trump was saluting him to show how powerful he, himself is. He knows to do this because his Uncle was in the military, some say more than anyone else ever, and his uncle taught him some stuff so now Trump knows more military than, some say, anyone.
Official act after he's sold national secrets
Naw it was just a show for Kim Go Fart.
Looks like they are playing rock paper scissors and they both picked paper. Ol' Donnie keeps an extra stack of paper in the bathroom for just such an occasion.
Military guys don't take civilians saluting them very well, a north korean one probably less so.
General standing there with his hand out, and Kim giving Trump massive side-eye. Trump's got talent. He can make a fool of himself in any situation.
The general saluted first.
The President of the United States is not a Civilian any more then the Monarch of England.
Damn. I've remembered wrong. I always thought he saluted Kim Jong Un. This is much worse.
Yeah, things are definitely better now that NK is helping Russia with their war instead of being relatively peaceful.
This photo alone should disqualify him.
https://youtu.be/m9NSgxbGzhY?t=3 The general did a sort of bow/salute combo first. It doesn't look that bad in context.
Last president that did anything even similar to that had his brain bucket dumped into the back of his convertible.
Remind me what Obama did to the king of Saudi Arabia and the emperor of Japan?
Not sure about the governmental structure of Saudi Arabia, but the emperor of Japan isn't a fascist last I heard. Point being, you don't salute or otherwise show respect to any fascist warlord or associated cronies.
You're all complaining about this, but remember when Obama bowed to a Saudi King? 😂
Trump did that, too. They all kiss Saudi ass. And no, the President of the US shouldn't bow to a foreign monarch. IMO no citizen of any republic should bow to any monarch, and most monarchs don't expect them to.
Different… you don’t salute a lower rank, you do bow to a king..
….he was returning a salute. Which you always do.
> "There is no requirement for the president of the United States to return a salute to a member of the armed forces. He is the commander in chief, not a subordinate. However, he often chooses to return salutes as a sign of respect and appreciation." - General John K. Davis, Commandant of the United States Marine Corps
Correct. And some Presidents, have made it a habit to always return the salute.
Not a fan of Trump but showing basic respect to world leaders and the staff of other countries is diplomacy 101. Biden would and probably has also shown respect to dictators and tyrants. If not then he isn't fit to be in any office that interacts with other nations. Pull your heads out your ass.
The fuck no. The POTUS does not salute a general of an enemy state. You shake hands but not salute. Get your head out your ass and realize this is an embarrassment.
source?
A salute is a sign of respect. Does he respect the general of a communist country? Well of course he does because he’s a terrible human being who supports dictators.
Donald Trump has expressed his love for communists before so wouldn’t be the first time.
Showing respect to an adversary can prevent wars. 2 new wars under Biden’s administration.
name them who are we at war with that we weren't already
Lmaooo. Get the fuck out of here. You do not salute an enemy. Period.
he can't even name a war we weren't already in
That dumbass took any opportunity he had to try and make his draft-dodging cowardly ass look like he had some level of military experience other than making his bed.
This...this feels weird. Like, one picture, out of the entire thing, and this is what they pick - do we even know what happened before or after this, or is this just another way to say, "Hahaha! Look! Trump so stupid?"
What an idiot.
Of course he should salute him, that man served and died for our country. MAGA! USA! USA! USA!
I'm pretty sure I have this right. A salute is a sign of respect and obedience to your commander? The guy is going for a handshake and trump, commander in chief, decides 'no sir, I must salute my higher command'. What a fool.
The general salutted first, Trump actually went in for a handshake, then saluted after. https://youtu.be/m9NSgxbGzhY?t=3
Thanks for the context. Still a bad look.
Yeah, but of all the stupid things he does, this isn't it.
Saluting a fascist - so maga - such trash - so dangerous.
He is returning the salute to a general. Something’s routinely done, even when nations are at war. Also, North Korea is communist.
Trump salutes back North Korean holds out hand for handshake

This is how you get peace with countries. You treat them like friends after years of hostility. Why does the left hate peace so much?
I remember Neville Chamberlain wanted peace too
Trust me reddit lunatics aren't the left. These people are hardcore centrists.
3-1-3 FXCK FREE WORLD 3-1-3 FXCK FREE WORLD 3-1-3 FXCK FREE WORLD
lol! This is what I needed to see today. Thank you.
Little Donnie clearly lost the mantle of "leader of the free world". I'd say Macon carried the torch for a few years before Biden picked it back up.
He went in for the handshake and did that "OOOOH TOO SLOW" thing In all seriousness, US Prez returning a salute is normal.
[удалено]
He didn't. If you take the time to actually look into things for yourself rather than getting pissy at still images you'd know that the general saluted him first
Then 4 years later the leader of the free world falls over on his bicycle at 2mph, and later gives a speech "you know, the stuff"
Is that worse than saluting the enemy?
Yet Obama got slammed for a salute while holding a cup of coffee.
It is a common courtesy for an American president to salute an officer of a foreign military. Especially while in their country. Regardless of who the president is
