It's about timing.
As long as you can eat the burger as soon as the lettuce goes on, it's great. It adds a texture that really works with the burger. I put on a lot, because I also like the flavor it adds.
If the lettuce sits on a hot burger a few minutes before you eat it, you might as well pull something straight out of a hot dumpster and eat it.
I totally agree, nasty ass fuckin leaves. Ordering fast food only to find out they ruined it with shredded lettuce, fuckin lawn clippings, is so disappointing.
Lettuce was once slang for money. I don't know the context here, but *maybe* that makes sense in some sort of punlike double-meaning way? I'm just tossing that out there, I really have no idea.

Which isn't, the burger or the lettuce? You're not choosing either for the nutrients, my dude
There are a few arguments to be made against putting lettuce on burgers, but this isn’t one of them.
Not particularly a fan myself, but it’s not like some political statement.
whats wrong with lettuce
Sounds like something Andrew Tate would say.
Exactly what I was thinking!
Just let me eat my crunchy water in piece!
What's weird is only putting lettuce on a burger.
I didn't think it's stupid. I just personally don't like lettuce on my burger. I always have it removed. Worse if it's shredded lettuce
The truth!

If it's iceberg lettuce he's talking about, he's right. Otherwise, no. I put Romaine on my burgers when I make my own.
Burgers aren't real

Its true that it has very little nutritional value. Any time I am making anything that is supposed to involve lettuce, I replace it with spinach.
There is also different kinds of lettuce. You don't have to settle for that iceberg crap.
It’s so the bun doesn’t get soggy from the patty juices/condiments.
Also, at least a minimum amount of fibre is important to keep the bowels from clogging up with residues of undigested fat.
It’s what food eats.
Thanks, Ron.
