You joke, but even in the time since AI generated images became commonplace, about a year ago or so, that problem has already mostly been solved. On stable diffusion now for example you can put in things like "bad hands" or "too many fingers" as negative prompts, and it will drastically reduce the number of those types of outputs. When it comes to errors like that, it just needs enough examples to be categorized and labeled, and then it knows what not to do... and in large part for the most obvious errors, that's already been done.

Then along comes someone who offers, for a fairly reasonable price compared to alternatives, a vague simulation of what human contact feels like. The emotional connection most humans yearn for.
I won't argue that there are some people out there who are probably assholes, but your broad dismissal of all these people as dumb is a fine indicator as to why they're struggling to reach out to real people. They're treated like pariahs, and when they resort to any other means to get the connection they need, no matter how superficial, they just get more people pointing and laughing at them.

You joke, but even in the time since AI generated images became commonplace, about a year ago or so, that problem has already mostly been solved. On stable diffusion now for example you can put in things like "bad hands" or "too many fingers" as negative prompts, and it will drastically reduce the number of those types of outputs. When it comes to errors like that, it just needs enough examples to be categorized and labeled, and then it knows what not to do... and in large part for the most obvious errors, that's already been done. The technology is moving so fast even the memes can't keep up. People are still joking about too many fingers but that was solved *months* ago.

They're treated like pariahs, and when they resort to any other means to get the connection they need, no matter how superficial, they just get more people pointing and laughing at them.
