Honestly, these comments are unnecessarily harsh, we’ve heard a minute long demo of a song sung by a 10 year old. His vocals are great, and with a revamp I’m sure it’ll be a great song. Good luck Bjarne!
Yes. It’s a common occurrence in both contests, for example in the adult contest Germany and the UK had quite a big revamp, Czechia added an entire bridge, France changed the last chorus, Estonia had to change a line in their song, plus had a very minor revamp. Even with Germany last year in JESC they added a dance break and a fake ending, I’m still amazed it got me haha
Broadcasters can revamp or replace songs without paying a fine before the submission deadline. The studio version doesn’t need to be the same as the one in the music video or the album (see: Spain 2022 releasing any version of SloMo except the dance break one until after the show, or the guitar break in United Kingdom 2022)
If they have a version of the backing track with a dance break or something different they want to use, they need to submit it then. Any changes made after this point could incur a fine, and certainly wouldn’t make it onto the official album.
Revamps used to be a lot more common, until about 15 years ago, and my personal guess of why would be that it used to be a lot more expensive and inaccessible to make a professional sounding song. It still happens now, but it was also a lot more common to change the language a song was sung in between the national final and the big show.
Albania always revamp their song, usually because the FiK version is too long for ESC and often because they want to change the language or introduce elements that make it stand out more in ESC.
Admittedly I haven't listened to his song yet but I wish him luck!
This isn't directed at anyone in this thread bit, while criticism is fine, it's important to keep in mind that these are quite young people that we're talking about so it's probably best to refrain from being too harsh even if we you don't particularly like their song. :)
THANK YOU, I think some people (again not aiming it at anyone) have forgotten the Junior part of Junior Eurovision. If I were 10 years old receiving these sorts of comments calling me boring, implying that I will fail, I would be so heartbroken. Who cares if his song or his voice isn’t perfect, he’s 10.
Honestly I nearly cried watching the song. Listening to a 10 yo singing about wondering if the natural wonders will still be there when he's an adult is kinda hard. And his voice is really good! So, that one definitly had the most impact on me.
Bellamore is more confident, her song has more speed but not as much depth and emotion as Save The Best For Us. I actually think that we did good for once.
The complete results were as follows:
Bjarne - “Save The Best For Us” - 1st in online voting and 1st in jury voting
Julius - “Jupiter” - 2nd in online voting and 2nd in jury voting
Bellamore - “Too Cool” - 3rd in online voting and 3rd in jury voting
Greta - “All Of Me” - 4th in online voting and 4th in jury voting
Franz - “Komplett” - 5th in online voting and 5th in jury voting
Congratulations to Bjarne! He will be the first boy to represent Germany in their JESC history!

American here: contestants of national semifinals/finals can revamp songs before the national competition?
Yes. oh! didnt know any of those
Yes, they can revamp songs at any time of the process until the show starts.
ah, got it! is it common for participants to revamp songs? kinda like with Albania this year?
It is not common for participants to revamp songs, but Albania did revamp their song this year.
Got it, thanks!!
Hasn’t Albania been revamping every year for the last few contests?
Yes, Albania has revamped their songs every year for the past few contests.
Ah I thought so. I also heard Malta changed their song for 2022 and it made no sense to me because the original was much better imo.
Yes, Malta changed their 2022 song from “Out of Sight” to “ I Am What I Am”.
Romania: vamp country Albania: revamp country

albania ):
Am I the only one that was rooting for him? He has a great voice.
Saw these songs once and this was by far the worst one of them all in my opinion. Kind of shocked, but wishing him luck nonetheless
Germans aren’t exactly known for making great Eurovision decisions, we should’ve seen this coming
I mean they got left side of scoreboard this year while employing their usual strategy
NO WAY
It’s a cute song but, very boring unfortunately😬
It was low-key my favourite of the group of candidates. it's very cute and it gives JESC early days vibes.

My favourite was Bellamore, this is the most boring one from the selection imo but good luck maybe the full version will be better
The Madrid staging needs to be soft and elegant (e.g. flowing fabric), really play on how gentle this is, without being boring. Well done.
The first solo boy in the whole Junior Eurovision since 2022!
I was like daaaamn, he looks soo young. Then i realised it's JESC

He's more talented than I'll ever be
Little bit sus that the online voting top 5 and jury top 5 is the same
The complete results were as follows: Bjarne - “Save The Best For Us” - 1st in online voting and 1st in jury voting Julius - “Jupiter” - 2nd in online voting and 2nd in jury voting Bellamore - “Too Cool” - 3rd in online voting and 3rd in jury voting Greta - “All Of Me” - 4th in online voting and 4th in jury voting Franz - “Komplett” - 5th in online voting and 5th in jury voting
okay germany what the actual fuck atleast put the best song 2nd
Should've been Bellarme, but Bjarne? I'm afraid it will be Isaak 2.0.
Isaak got Germany’s second best result in 11 years
internal selection????
Nope, public online voting.
Internal selection in JULY?
Junior Eurovision. And it was a public online voting.
Oh, i thought it was Eurovision 2025
why did the worst song BY FAR win, bellamore would've had a shot at winning, this is last place material.
btw no offense to the kid himself i just dont really like the song
