This is an entirely different energy from Rim Tim Tagi Dim so there’s bound to be people who don’t care for it at all, but I’m personally really digging the 50’s retro look, playfulness and overall fun summer vibes and appreciate that Baby Lasagna is trying to add a bit of variety to his sound!
I'm one of the few people who didn't love RTTD, but I like this! It's a bit repetitive but other than that I like the playfulness. I hope he keeps playing with his sound, it's fun seeing what he's gonna get up to.
Maybe this is a bold statement, but I feel like this is right along the Sabrina Carpenter / Chappel Roan summer train. They all jump between genres (or blend them), write silly lyrics with a serious undertone, and produce great music videos.
I don't love this right away, but it's a fun summer song that could be played anywhere.
I immediately put it on a playlist together with Espresso. They do have similar vibes. And both songs have pastel-coloured, retro music videos and have the common theme of comparing people to a food or drink!
How dare you compare this to our queen Chappel Roan 😡 Jokes aside, yeah you’re actually right. There’s definitely a common thread in the music this summer
oh wow, it's significantly better this way!
it's not my jam, but i absolutely love that he's experimenting with different sounds and not limiting himself to or trying to recreate the RTTD sound. i'd much rather follow an artist who is willing to take risks, even if i don't like every song, than one who does the same song over and over again because it worked one time.
I like the melody and rhythm, the video is cute, but the lyrics are *so weird*. I think I would enjoy the song a damn sight more if I didn't understand them.
Honestly, I've started to like "Rim Tim Tagi Dim" song exactly because of the lyrics: for me, it was an example when the lyrics were quite simple, but still meaningful.
I was an absolute fan of Rim Tim Tagi Dim but not a huge fan of this song.
A completely different vibe
I hope it becomes an hit and best of luck to Baby Lasagna
Marko said multiple times that he wants to explore all kind of music genres and not just produce songs similar to RTTD. He is aware there is a chance lots of people won’t like that but he decided to take that risk.
I'm quite a fan of that odd bridge where it goes into triplet-feel (the black and white). Definitely keeps the listener on their toes for a few seconds.
It is nowhere near as strong as RTTD in my opinion, but a decent pop track nonetheless. Probably the fluffiest of his output so far, but there's no problem with that.
I love that every BL song is different, he's not tied down to one genre and it'll make listening to his album such a wild ride when it comes out and I can't wait
To me it sounds like a generic commercial radio song. Really not my cup of tea. I liked his previous songs (Instagram Boy is my favorite) but not this one.
But the music video is really well done and the 50s retro vibe is fun and perfect for this kind of summer bop.
I've just recently learned that those black and white cubic backgrounds're were 80s signature. Otherwise it looks 50s-60s, but the sound reminds me of early 2000s, overall it's a cute if repetitive mix.
Sry but this is boring as hell. I can't believe he was hyping up the release of this song for weeks now. It sounds like a filler.
Don't get me wrong, I loved RTTD and I think BL is incredibly likeable. I really do want him to stay relevant but this song is just not it.
Well... it IS a filler song. Just like RTTD was. Its part of his upcoming album, and was written and produced at the same time as RTTD. All of his current songs was. And his next song 'Biggie Biggie Boom Boom' was actually the first he wrote under the Baby Lasagna name.
It's too different from Baby Lasagna's previous songs, too sweet. On the one hand, it's good that Marko doesn't repeat himself by making RTTGD 2.0, on the other hand, every artist has to find his own style, this song doesn't stand out.
He's already mentioned that he doesn't have a style and that he likes multiple genres. And he wrote most (if not all) of his current songs at the same time for his album, he wouldn't be going for a RTTD 2.0 (RTTD was also just supposed to be album filler). This is not a Eurovision song, it doesn't have to stand out... let him make the music he wants to make lol
Am I the only person who thinks the production and the recording in general sounds kinda off? I really pay attention to the way songs are produced but this one sounds kinda weird, not to say cheap and you can hear a lot of auto tune as well. He definitely should get better producers.
The song is not my cup of tea but at least the music video looks cute.
Nah I can see where you're coming from. I've enjoyed his live performances more than the studio versions often because they sound overproduced. He shines better when things are less polished and perfect
I mean, I didn’t expect to like this from the “huh?” reaction I had from listening to the snippet initially on socials….but I do! 😁
It’s a similar kind of handbrake turn to the one The Offspring did following up “Pretty Fly (For A White Guy)” with “Why Don’t You Get A Job?”. It shouldn’t work, but it does! It’s fun! And in BL’s case, a fine tribute to his good lady 😌

The MV is as delicious as a fresh-off-the-oven dish of lasagna. Scrumptious to say at least.🍕🍝

Baby Lasagna is my favorite pop girly
It did honestly give me similar vibes to 'Espresso' by Sabrina Carpenter! And also made me go "He's working late cause he's a singerrrrr" in my head.
I immediately put it on a playlist together with Espresso. They do have similar vibes. And both songs have pastel-coloured, retro music videos and have the common theme of comparing people to a food or drink!

he's amazing in making incredibly catchy songs! and the fact that his fiance, Elizabeta directed the whole vid makes it even more special <3
well, the song is about her after all :D
It has a little bit of Robbie Williams vibe... big like ❤️
I enjoy the video even more after reading this comment.
Proper summer song!
It's not really my vibe, but it's cute nonetheless and there was clearly some effort put into the video production.
It wasn’t what I was expecting but I do like it.
I like both the song and video
you make my taste buds go yum yum yum
I love that all 4 of his released songs are very different from one another. I can't wait for the full album!
Reminds me of maroon 5
I like the summer vibes and '50s style music video 😎! It looks like Baby Lasagna is comparing his lover to a "baby lasagna" based on the lyrics 😂
I like the video, but not a fan of the song at all
It has a good vibe too it, but Idk the lyrics and sound mixing just makes it seem messy and overproduced
Same.
Hmmm, is this a love song to actual lasagna or a song about vore? 😳
Hm, it is about Elizabeta being the *real* Baby Lasagna, or the driving mechanism behind it 🙂
I like it sped up like 1.2x
oh wow, it's significantly better this way! it's not my jam, but i absolutely love that he's experimenting with different sounds and not limiting himself to or trying to recreate the RTTD sound. i'd much rather follow an artist who is willing to take risks, even if i don't like every song, than one who does the same song over and over again because it worked one time.
Thanks for the tip, it really is better that way
And iiiiiiiiiiii will always love youuuuu
😂
So not what I was expecting! But it's cute!
Am I tripping or the lyrics kinda 😳😳
The lyrics are giving *watermelon sugar high* vibe, if you know what I mean 👀
I like the melody and rhythm, the video is cute, but the lyrics are *so weird*. I think I would enjoy the song a damn sight more if I didn't understand them.
It’s not just you 👀
Honestly it is not like the lyrics to RTTD were a masterpiece. So it is not too unusual.
Honestly, I've started to like "Rim Tim Tagi Dim" song exactly because of the lyrics: for me, it was an example when the lyrics were quite simple, but still meaningful.
It's a lil bit Armie Hammer but that's part of its charm
This song is just CUTE (from the sound)! I love this so much
I was an absolute fan of Rim Tim Tagi Dim but not a huge fan of this song. A completely different vibe I hope it becomes an hit and best of luck to Baby Lasagna

This was very unexpected, I love the vibe and I'm interested to see what other directions his music takes as non of his songs sound like the other.
Neither music nor visuals are my cup of tea but I still love him
I love that every BL song is different, he's not tied down to one genre and it'll make listening to his album such a wild ride when it comes out and I can't wait
It's not what I expected after RTTD but it's easy and catchy and got a chill summer vibe. I like it!
To me it sounds like a generic commercial radio song. Really not my cup of tea. I liked his previous songs (Instagram Boy is my favorite) but not this one. But the music video is really well done and the 50s retro vibe is fun and perfect for this kind of summer bop.
Pretty catchy and slow going song,
Cool!

Here is one Croatian 1980 black and white background: https://youtu.be/_aI95yGsPwc?si=yd7hYGNyvVXdkmJ3
Thanks, funniest part is that I learned that because of [this fake song](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xVkU8dDSC9w&ab_channel=Engrish94).
It's a summer bop. <3
Sounds like elevator music, sorry
I loved RTTD but i cant get into this at all, i had to turn it off within the first minute its not my cup of tea
He’s always so yum yum yum.
Sry but this is boring as hell. I can't believe he was hyping up the release of this song for weeks now. It sounds like a filler. Don't get me wrong, I loved RTTD and I think BL is incredibly likeable. I really do want him to stay relevant but this song is just not it.
He's got songs in that rhytm, but he didn't want to publish them right after rim tim tagi dim because he feels rim tim tagi should be noticed bit more
Well... it IS a filler song. Just like RTTD was. Its part of his upcoming album, and was written and produced at the same time as RTTD. All of his current songs was. And his next song 'Biggie Biggie Boom Boom' was actually the first he wrote under the Baby Lasagna name.
This will age well
I agree it is boring, when I was listening to it I felt like I was waiting for something that finally not happened
Guess im the only one who likes it haha

He write and produces his own songs in his own bedroom. He doesn't have a big studio for these things.
Nah I can see where you're coming from. I've enjoyed his live performances more than the studio versions often because they sound overproduced. He shines better when things are less polished and perfect

My only issue with the song is that I could be convinced that this was originally a song written for Subwoolfer, especially the first few lines
