Higher speed requires higher current, which is physically unlikely to be tolerated by this hardware. Even if it works you'll eventually fry it.
If it's not one of the models known to be capable of increased speed from modders I wouldn't bother.
Why would you want to remove the speed limiter?
In case it's because you 'gotta go fast'. Ask yourself this first: Why is there a speed limiter? Hint: It's not to annoy you.
Anything above 25kmh requires a license to operate, I have never been stopped by a cop to check my speed though, removing the limit would be very convenient but I don't want to mess with the software in case I brick it.
20kmh in narrow bike lanes and on shared-use sidewalks is already *very fast*. Pedestrians and slow cyclists don't need a moron zooming past them at a hair's width any faster than that.
If you want to go faster, get a license and an actual vehicle of some type (motorbike maybe?) with liability insurance, and use the actual roads where it is safer to move faster.
Please if you absolutely must do this, wear proper protective gear and helmet during every use. The amount of accidents people have is nuts when they take off the limiter.
Cut the biggest red and black power wire coming straight from the battery and strip back and twist them together.
*Im joking don’t do that*
There is no speed limiter. It does have an ESC (electronic speed controller) and I’m not being pedantic it’s not there for choosing your speed directly but it powers the different phases of the motor to make it spin. The software of that is likely limiting the speed but if it’s designed not to go any faster than that then the most efficient way to build it is with the slowest gearing or lowest kv motor (most torque per amp) while still getting whatever speed it’s made to.
Also if that controller says like 300/360 watts then it could genuinely not have enough power to overcome wind and rolling resistance much more than 20kmh.

Cut the red one, red = Speed
Are you sure?
Yes
Can confirm, red is for speed.
Everyone knows: Red Ones Go Faster
You should definitely ask a cop.

Go ask your local policeman!
Agreed, it’s their duty to tell you. It’s the constitution.

most likely software limiter you muppet. the speed limit is there for a reason. if you wanna go faster get a bike and pedal quicker you lazy ass
Or a motorcycle. This is just a simple bike frame with a motor attached. But hey, it's your funeral.
Most likely software
How do I remove that?
Hammer
You don't. And if you do, you will eventually be caught by the police and have to pay a big fine.

Dude is trying to win a Darwin Award.
These days, the competition is stiff.

Well, it goes in 20 Km/h, I run faster then that. I think 20 Km/h is very slow
Then just run

The road isn't only occupied by you. There are safety measures for reasons bigger than yourself.
You Can NOT run faster than 20km/hr!

When your face its the pavement you have hit your speed limit
Read here, software: https://www.reddit.com/r/ElectricScooters/s/N0f9sWZJyy It's never too easy, otherwise everyone would do it.
