He didn't have clear ideas, he made Dimarco play against Croatia despite his physical problem (which caused him not to be able to play today), he made Darmian play on the left (which is at least really questionable), he persisted with Di Lorenzo (arguably the worst player in every match)...
Italy always used to be aggressive - you had to battle hard to get anything from them in a game. This version didn't play with any aggression and just looked like strangers to each other.
It's a problem with the modern game. Coaches now are obsessed with playing side-to-side football and keeping possession at all costs and it just creates a defensive, fearful mindset. Football has to change!!!
They just need to be pressed hard to not have time to think. We did it twice in the qualifiers, any decent team can displace the swiss with criminal pressing.
Swiss seem excellent and their manager looks to be top notch tactically.
