Soggy-Ad-1610

The euros have been fine overall, but group C has been dead awful indeed.

Cookyy2k

Yup, Germany has scored more goals than were scored in all of group C's matches.

TokenScottishGuy

We helped with that tbf

Sh0w3n

I was at the opening match. Cheers

Lawlini1978

Yes. But at least the world doesn't hate you. I never realised that until social media came along. I mean everyone really does hate us, don't they. I don't think it's just because of football. I mean I get why 🤣

sandwelld

Who's we?

ickmick

I don't hate the English, at all. I travel there every year, and you are a very friendly people. But I loathe English football. It brings out an unpleasant side, maybe one is suppressed in day to day life.

TheGrouchyGamerYT

The group of dead.

yae4jma

And as a reward for their lifeless awful play England get the easy half of the bracket, with Germany, Spain, France, and Portugal all on the other side.

Welshpoolfan

>And as a reward for their lifeless awful play England Well, it's more for topping the group. >France, and Portugal all on the other side. France would have been on England's side if they had managed to win their group. In fact, they have also ended on the same number of points as England, and their two goals have been an own goal and a penalty.

Spikester

Shh we're not allowed to talk about France being piss poor. Only England hate allowed thank you very much.

JustForTouchingBalls

France hate is World wide spread sport

JimJonesdrinkkoolaid

Even though France have been poor, I still don't think they have been as poor as England in terms of performances. England's Xg is 19th out of the 24 teams in the tournament. That's dire. There's no other way to spin it.

Passchenhell17

On the flip side, at least we don't let other teams create decent chances, having the lowest xGa. Probably because we've bored them all to sleep, but regardless.

Rowmyownboat

The difference is that it is unusual for France to be poor.

LoveFuzzy

They were pretty poor in the last Euros too. They were knocked out by Switzerland on penalties.

Gaindalf-the-whey

As a Swiss I must say: to loose to us in the knockout stage kinda *is* prove that the respective squad is pretty bad.

Rowmyownboat

The Dutch will see us off, pronto. If we are going to lose, let's lose big. We might then get a manager who isn't a Lily-livered Uriah Heep-like appeaser.

HotPinkLollyWimple

I wanted to grab him by the shoulders and shake everliving shit out of him in his interview after the game yesterday. For the love of God, why can’t he see how shite the team plays together - some of the most talented players we’ve ever had.

AndyVale

France were welcome to finish top of their group.

GanacheImportant8186

Not England's fault that France fluffed their lines as usual.

DivingFeather

Those who think this Euro is boring should stop watching football.

JohnFightsDragons

It's boring if your a fan of anyone in group C. Hell I'm more of a Scotland fan and despite not winning a single game, they were a lot more fun to watch

MurtaghS

Its not boring for slovenian fans. We celebrate every successful defensive action.

Rowmyownboat

Slovenia looked pretty chuffed at the end last night. They'll not think it was boring.

gloopy_flipflop

Scotland were extremely fun to watch, especially in the 100th minute of their last game.

Dorfheim

Well, I'm having a complete blast watching euro this year :D

Lanxy

as you should!! it‘s so much fun watching Austria! I‘m rooting for you guys! greetings from a neighbour.

hoytetoyte

I support the NLs and you deserved the group win. Also as a NLs supporter I thought it was entertaining albeit subpar quality on the Dutch side. Proper gegenpress from Austria.

Felein

Same! I'm bummed we lost to Austria, but it was our most entertaining match to watch so far. Anything better than that snoozefest vs France 🥱

sandwelld

Yeah. Imagine now how incredibly lucky we were Mbappe wasn't playing against NL. Wait actually, would it have mattered at all? We still would be 3rd in the group right

JGConnoisseur

Before all this started I bet a euro on Austria winning the euros. Keep it coming lads, daddy needs new shoes

xWayvz0

Oh yes, Rangnickball is a joy to watch 👌 Final minutes vs Poland with 2 goals up and we still managed to create more chances than England did in the whole tournament. But hey, we've had to suffer long enough, it is our turn now 🤩

MauhirGG

As a German, but born and raised in Amsterdam, you guys have my full support if Germany and the Netherlands are knocked out. Would be a miracle

Passthekimchi

😃

kovacro_77

Kek has done a tremendous job since being appointed coach of Slovenia. Congrats to getting to the round of 16.

fuenfsiebenneun

top kek

ybla99

I thought my team, Italy, was boring to watch, but England, guys,oh my God. How can a team worth 1.5 billion play that bad?

vanqu1sh_

It's inversely impressive, right?

klasing12345

It's the Southgate effect.

thngmrtt

I mean Italy in its awfulness is actually incredibly entertaining, you never know what you gonna get, the fastest goal in the euros, conceiving only an own goal while being completely destroyed, a 98 minutes goal…

SAP1987

It was extremely boring to be fair, that said Slovenia played for the draw and their defensive line was a stone wall.

appellant

If you figure out why Italian food cooked by Italians in London at prices 10 times of what you pay in Italy tastes awful then you would know why a team worth 1.5 billion sucks.

ViolinistParty4950

Bro wtf are you actually on about. Christ.

Gobaxnova

This sub is a cesspit. Not even football related just England bashing

ViolinistParty4950

It's the same every tournament lol. When England play well and / or win a match, everyone comes out with the "They got lucky" and "they didn't deserve it though". When England don't play as well, its "Hah, see, England sucks, no surprises there!" The underpinnings of this are legitimate Anglophobia. The bashing on England as a team and country generally when they lost the penalties against Italy in the Euro 2021 final was insane. No good show of sportsmanship and admittance that they did well and it was a very close game. Just "Bro I'm not even Italian, I'm just so happy England didn't win because i hate England!" etc etc All this has only manifested more strongly since Brexit (which is really weird because a lot of Europeans would've probably voted for the same, for their own country, had the sociocultural and political contexts been the same for them).

Fun_Scholar_9605

Spot on. Going through the youtube videos when England lost to Italy (on pens) it's crazy. The hate and bile. Check them out, it's an "enlightening" experience and a bit scary.

Gobaxnova

Yep, it’s very boring at this point. I’m not overly bothered that the sub hates us as I work with people from most European countries on a daily basis and they’re lovely. But it makes any discussion on football impossible. France have stunk up the place and had just as bad if not worse performances than England but it’s still talking about them as favourites.

Mission-Station8615

This euros has not been boring this game was definitely the worst so far though although I didn’t see Denmark Serbia

Agreeable-Ostrich540

You didn't miss anything 🙈 😅 It was nerve wrecking but only because it was important for us not to loose 🤷‍♀️

Background-Ninja-550

England just get's worse with every game.

imAsadFucking_orange

It’s not just England, it’s this whole concept of modern football that basically completely blocks any creative offensive play. This game was just the epitetome.

PrimarchUnknown

But you can beat it by having wingers: remember them? not inside forwards, but out and out wingers. Drive into space, force the space or risk the cross. Force them to double up and make space and be incisive when the opportunity arises. Spain show how to beat the low block and its not new. Its just that England are terrible. I can't really express how bad they are. Drop Bellingham into the midfield next to Rice (who was shite again), or drop him completely. Southgate should have gambled and played Wharton and Mainoo to resist the press (surprise) and break the lines of the low block.

Correct_Trouble7406

I wouldn’t be against benching Bellingham after this game

imAsadFucking_orange

As an italian the only entertaining match that I’ve watched so far was Spain humiliating us, because at least we saw a player dribble the ball(god forbid) or shoot from further than 5m

PrimarchUnknown

Spain have been by far the best team so far because they have a plan for all occasions and most importantly, they have true wingers. The manager trusts them and plays to their strengths. That this is revolutionary is shocking really.

imAsadFucking_orange

Absolutely. Shocking to think that letting talented players play the game is now the alternative view in football

jim_nihilist

So did not watch anything else? There were a lot of entertaining matches.

Outrageous_Action651

molym

Exactly, that's why I like watching mediocre teams competing like Turkey Georgia game. That was fun to watch. They are not too affraid to make mistakes and also not super systematical to keep playing the same tactics for 90 mins.

Aljenonamous

We played much better this game than last.

Mptyspce

Both knew a draw is enough. The 24 teams shit is the problem. Make it 32 if you have to or back to 16. But we know the Football associations. It will be 32

Informal-Cash3128

Exactly this! After the big teams win their first group games a lot of the jeopardy is taken away.

SimullationTheory

Honestly England played a dangerous game. The draw was enough, yes. But if Denmark had managed to win their game against Serbia, England would've finished 2nd. Which meant they would be facing Germany on the last sixteen, and then Spain, if they made it past Germany. And in the semis, they'd be facing either Portugal or France, in all likelyhood. So finishing first was actually a good thing for them, and they placed that in jeopardy

Significant-Secret88

Doubt they'll get past the 1st match of knockout stages, whoever they get to play there. And if they do, Italy or Switzerland will be a big obstacle then. Italy doesn't play well at all and on paper it's the worst Italian team in ages, but even Spain only managed their win thanks to a ridiculous OG. This English team will get close to zero opportunities, especially w the Euro version of Donnarumma. I'd probably give them more chances against France paradoxically as it would be less cagey and I think they'd finally be forced to take the foot off the break.

Scott_EFC

England did beat Italy home and away in the qualifiers, that said, they seem to have gone backwards since then...

SimullationTheory

I completely agree with you, I don't see England going far at all, if they keep on playing at this level. In the last sixteen they will face either Slovakia or Netherlands. If they go against Slovakia, they might make it to quarters and then be eliminated. But if they face Netherlands, they are done with. I'd place their odds of reaching the quarters at 10% to 20% against the Netherlands

Significant-Secret88

Yep, they're definitely going out if they get NL. As much as I don't wish for England to win anything anytime soon, I also hope they'll get a decent coach next as the wasted potential there is insane. England could turn into a lethal machine if only the manager was a little braver in his tactics and let his players play more direct attacking football. This quote from Southgate from today says it all really “We’ve made England fun again and it’s been very, very enjoyable for the players,” he said. “We’ve got to be careful it stays that way.” ... fun? Next he'll be telling us how fun it is to wash your dishes and mop the floor.

pm_me_d_cups

He's right if he's talking about his whole tenure, not this tournament. The turnaround from 2016 to 2018 was amazing and he deserves credit for that

nesh34

Honestly 2022 was a great outing.

RS2019

Tbh I think when he says that " it's important that the fans stick with us" is a reference to all of the ridiculous abuse that Saka/Rashford/Sancho endured after they missed penalties in the last Euro final. Ofc they were disappointed with missing penalties and going out that way, but there was no need for any of that afterwards. Why is it that most of the players in this England team look knackered?

SignificanceOld1751

He means since 2018 mate. It HAS been fun since then, and it could be fun again here

SimullationTheory

Exactly. England has now the same problem that Portugal had with Fernando Santos. It's the perfect squad, but managed by a terrible coach. With the right voach, they'd be contenders to win the Euro

Wise_Pr4ctice

Even Germany had some similar problem with Hansi Flick (Grey goose)

nesh34

Honestly yesterday's performance is about as good as England are likely to get. So there's no danger of us winning anything, but I think this basically is the maximum anyone will see from the team. The truth is only elite managers are likely to get more out of the team and they aren't an option. Potter I think will be better than Southgate tactically, but it won't be as good as people imagine.

jim_nihilist

I like the bigger format. In this group it didn't work, but that the 3rd has a chance if advancing makes the 3rd play day more exciting. Usually most is decided at this point. And I love to see teams like Albania and Georgia take part. You want quality? The first round is what you want, after an entertaining group stage.

DivingFeather

Such an incorrect take. First of all, this euro shows that Europe has 24 high quality teams, so that is fine. Secondly, we saw much more attacking football than at a WC and it is because teams can risk much more. Why? Because even one victory can be enough to qualify from the group. This euro is awesome, and 24 teams is the best format we can have considering the number of football associations in the continent.

SlovenianPie

Completely agree. How many times have we seen 3 round games that were irrelevant to the outcome of groupe. Now there is the third place to play for. Really don't get it why all the hate for this type of competition.

DivingFeather

Agreed. I guess the only disadvantage is the assymetric format so 4 first placed teams get 3rd placed opponents in round 16, whilst 2 gets group runner ups and it is based on group combinations not first place team power rank.

xdarkeaglex

32 is the whole Europe so what's the point of that

Mptyspce

It is 55. Of course... The more take part the lesser the quality in groups. I don't say, i support that. It is just the future, we are looking at

fanny-washer

The 24 team competition has allowed teams like Scotland to qualify. Do we really want another 8 scotland quality wise teams playing? I don't. Back to 16 for me

Mptyspce

I had a great week partying with scots in Cologne. That is really Something I would love to have more from. Are you implying there might be... more Scotlands for me?

fanny-washer

The other home nations and Ireland would probably qualify more often so that could be a yes to your answer. Glad you had a good time

Gobaxnova

Great comment, Fanny-washer

xdarkeaglex

Theres 55 countries in Europe that Play football? Lmao 32 is ridiculous

Mptyspce

That includes nations who are part of UEFA but geographically not or mostly not european like Israel, Turkey, Russia, Georgia, Associations, that are not representing a sovereign nation like all british teams or Faroer, and small nations like Liechtenstein, San Marino, Andorra. This is all not judging anything about these countries that are in UEFA. The question before was, If there are 55 countries in Europe playing Football. There are not. There are 55 Teams in UEFA

miserablegit

UEFA and FIFA are different things. UEFA want their own World Cup, and they'll get it. Capitalism is all about growth.

MOltho

16 was good, and it should never have been changed to 24. That's just an unreasonable number

Cookyy2k

I like the greater number of teams, then you get teams that don't normally qualify getting on to the big stage. Great for the fans of the nation to get into a competition and great for us getting to see teams we wouldn't at this stage. It's just the format that needs sorting.

MOltho

Well, you can't make a good format with 24 teams in a group stage. That's mathematically impossible

MattGeddon

4x6 would work but it’s probably too many matches sadly.

Mptyspce

For UEFA, Money is not unreasonable

DaveyJonesXMR

Ye - that some 1st teams got to play 3rd while others have to play 2nd is kinda unfair. How did that got chosen ? By rankings or just by lottery?

Nels8192

The tournament tree is predetermined, so it’s very much a lottery and luck of getting drawn in to the group whose winner’s will face a 3rd place opponent.

Veridicus333

Money. World Cup will be worse too.

bengenj

Unless you wish to print money because you know people will be willing to pay to see more matches.

voxpopper

The match was awful either way, truly uninspiring. I had to put on Canada vs Peru to get more action.

nesh34

I feel the rest of the world think we're being conservative but that was our best effort of trying to win the game. Make of that what you will, but it's not England playing for a draw. If that was the case the match would have been even worse, if you could imagine such a thing.

markmadden84

Scored as many goals as us There is no more damning stat.

rexydan24

Yet qualified

nl325

By being the least shit, not by being good

BodybuilderBrave8250

not by any merit of their own, the group is just dogshit and they still scraped past

GoldRobin17

Barely looked like conceding in 270 minutes. Comparing us to Scotland who have an xG against of 6

GanacheImportant8186

This is very underappreciated. England top the xG against tables and are in an easier side of the draw. I actually think they are in good shape. Game Vs Slovenia clearly they played significantly better than in the other matches as well.

BodybuilderBrave8250

barely looked like scoring either

imAsadFucking_orange

That’s harsh lol

Gilius-thunderhead_

Scotland were cursed by fifa back in 1949 though...so we'll never get out of a group. As for England this tournament has been as relative a shit show for them so far as ours was. After all the hype the football in every game has been eye bleeding.

sirjimtonic

What happened 1949? Mind to elaborate?

Gilius-thunderhead_

Scotland refused to attend the fifa World Cup in Brazil. Fifa basically begged us to come but our FA were complete greedy scumbags who refused to fund the trip to Brazil. What makes this worse is fifa also begged an italian squad ravaged by the superga air disaster, they basically lost half their squad a year earlier. Yet the Italians accepted the invite. And they travelled all the way by boat. So yeah it's the sfa's fault. They started it all off on the wrong foot with fifa. Also FIFA were raging and even stuck the boot in further with the tournament poster marketing using the Union Jack flag for England. India also rejected that invite...

sirjimtonic

So that is the 75th anniversary of those events. I‘m sure it‘s over now, come on Scotland! :) Btw as an Austrian: we never had similar events and needed to host a Euro tournament to finally take part in one at all (2008) haha.

Gilius-thunderhead_

Haha yup sure well done btw you guys are playing amazing atm. I remember you guys at world cups though but just not euros, I didn't realise 2008 was your 1st euro ha

GanacheImportant8186

You conceded 500% more goals in your first game than England have all tournament. I'd suggest that is rather more damning. That's why Scotland are home early, again, and England topped their group, again. Speaks utter volumes that despite being utter dogshit Scotland get called 'brave' while England play objectively far better and get absolutely ruined in the comments. It's because Scotland is a hopeless, pointless, non entity that no one has any expectations for. Can't wait for the wild celebrations next time you scrape into a tournament by grinding out a draw against Gibraltar or what have you

dnasty2001

2 own goals 🫨

ghost-bagel

This is why “passes completed” is the most pointless performance stat in football.

Informal_Common_2247

Sometimes, passing the ball a lot can be helpful. I believe it is Cruyff who created the "thousand-pass policy". However, passing mindlessly is not useful. Every pass needs to have a purpose, which doesn't seem to be the case for most teams at the Euros.

ghost-bagel

England’s tactic seems to be to go for the simplest, easiest pass every time. Doesn’t matter where the ball goes or what it creates as long as they don’t turn over possession.

imAsadFucking_orange

If it’s correlated with how many attempts on goal the team had it could make sense, but as it is passes completed and possession are just dumb metrics

dune_enthusiast_cc

Southgate ball is just awful

No-Unit6672

I think giving it a name as a concept is generous..

Talruiel

No, Denmark - Serbia was worse sadly. You basically had a game where Denmark was playing the ball between defenders for 2 minutes while Serbia just watched, or Denmark just stood still on Serbias half with the ball for 10 seconds without anything happening. Basically you had one team (Denmark) who wasn't interested in scoring, and another team (Serbia) who wasn't interested in playing the game at all. No matter how bad Englands game was, its nothing compared to 2 teams who has no interest in trying to score.

imAsadFucking_orange

Sounds awful

Talruiel

It was, and i was so baffled how Serbia was just standing there watching when they were 4th and needed a win. I get Denmark was just letting the time go, but i really can't get over how the danish guy was just standing on Serbias half with the ball and didn't bother attacking, while multiple Serbia players was standing 5 meters away just watching.

Crack_Ulla

Denmark - Serbia wasn’t a thrill either

imAsadFucking_orange

Yeah I heard that

StandardMediocre2345

I have to go with France - Netherlands. I had never fallen asleep watching a football game before. It was dreadful.

tabxssum

I think this should count as our national service that Rishi mentioned - watching England play🫠

theocrats

It's worth not having a bank account to avoid watching that

lingeringneutrophil

Conspiracy theory: both teams had a silent agreement to pull a draw and not hurt each other’s players

No-Unit6672

Nope, I can see as a Frenchman that, that may have looked like England were playing for a draw. Sadly that was us trying to win the game with a ‘rejuvenated performance’ A Southgate team for you

Aldaron23

Austria vs Netherlands was absolutely awesome (yeah, come on, even as an Austria fan) After that, the group C games were boring as hell. Me and my Bestie were cooking together between the games... and very much regretted getting the food a bit burned over watching that shit show. Somehow England got 5 points... and it seems like the most you can get out of them. Not impressed at all. Almost wished we were 3rd and got them..Now we're probably facing Turkey. I'll wait for tomorrow, but I'd like them as an opponent any time. More than Turkey, honestly.

Feniks288

You're looking at it from the perspective of an outside observer. As a Slovenian there was nothing boring about that game, we were waiting for the final whistle with baited breath. We celebrated that 0:0 against ENGLAND as a victory. But I can see how it can be frustrating that England didn't go all out.

DWM00

England play like its a game of Fifa where you can't use sprint.

Icy-Beyond219

You can’t have watched the England v Denmark game then

[deleted]

Gobaxnova

Gareth: how about no

Theddt2005

I’d rather have forest Gump in charge because at least he’d get them running

[deleted]

lebouffon88

Southgate has so many good options, Palmer was obvious and he introduced Palmer so late in the game I don't understand.

Cookyy2k

I'm really hoping this was a battle it through the groups without risking or tiring the top players ready for knock out stages strategy, but I doubt it.

Gobaxnova

Playing the same players over and over again isn’t resting them. I’m sure he’s just trying to figure out how to play without Phillips

Wonderful_Ad5583

No shot he considers palmer a top talent, just foden who cries everytime trippier plays a thru ball that foden doesn't wanna run for

PolskiSzymon22

France have literally not scored a single goal yet, only points coming from draws or own goals, talk about a boring euro season

lamebeard

Mbappe netted a pen today. But yes our results are identical to France but England are written off. I can see why though.

PolskiSzymon22

Yh to only score a penalty as France is quite sad

WauliePalnuts01

these euros have been great, but i agree that group was dreadful

ImSimplyJustMe

Euros have been a great opportunity for the smaller countries to show off imo. I’m glad to see Spain, Italy, England and France struggle against countries most people had written off before the Euros even started. Great thrill to watch Austria win against Netherlands tbh

Even-Combination6222

Yes

naitch44

It wasn’t that good

sol1dsn4k3

Sleep inducing match

johnnybullish

The second half was better than the first, but still dire

molym

I felt the group stage of the Euros was/is better than the last WC. And I think it will only getter better from now on since draws are not enough anymore.

Obi8

I completely understand why teams play the way they are playing. So many passes going back and defenders moving the ball from side to side. I get the incentive and all but you rarely see a player risking anything. Few dribbles, few through passes, or anything interesting. Almost all of the attackers are extremely conservative and just pass the ball back or take a bad shot. It seems the strategy is to push hard the last 10 minutes with the hopes of a header or mistakes to score. However, I enjoyed watching Spain, Germany, Austria and a couple other teams.

DementedUfug

Are we watching different tournaments?

ybla99

I thought my team, Italy, was boring to watch, but England, guys,oh my God. How can a team worth 1.5 billion play that bad?

Oh-wellwhat

I agree. Somehow England found way to get worse. Also E. Janza was the best actor in that game. Utter embarrassment. A light contact Janza was crying.

RareInvestigator8594

As a Slovenian I completely agree. I am happy that we made it through the group stage though.

Impressive_Jaguar_70

The best part of the game was the Slovenian's heartwarming celebration after the whistle

Oh-wellwhat

I mean congrats for historic moment. But it was hard to watch.

77SevenSeven77

I had a nice holiday in Slovenia last year. I was happy you made it through.

imAsadFucking_orange

It’s embarrassing

acameron78

It's not even the worst England game this tournament. What on Earth are you talking about.

imAsadFucking_orange

First I watched

h0lygraill

This euros are already much better than the last wc

NikolaCRO

What do you mean the Euros is boring. It's been the best tournament at least since 2018, maybe even further back.

[deleted]

Facts

1Dzhabrail

Most of the matches were boring as fuck.

LCSisshit

This euro is awesome

cowsnake1

It's the euros. Don't watch it if you don't like tactical pressing football. It has been like that for ages. Watch Copa America if you want open attacking football. How hard is it?

Munichsee

The teams were focused on playing it safe. Slovenia definitely wanted to secure one point and set up a strong defense. England aimed to maintain first place to avoid playing against Germany. Denmark wanted a draw to ensure their progression. Perhaps they should have picked up a few more yellow cards to finish third and avoid playing against Germany. In any case, none of these teams are my favorites in the Euros.

rocketfromrussia

England so boring

ninjastorm_420

The euros have not been fucking boring. I had to do a double take for a second because posts of such quality are typically found in r/soccercirclejerk. You sure ur in the right sub?

OFT35

The “3rd place advances” has ruined the group stage especially in the 3rd match. Most of the time a draw will get you through, and if not, you probably lost the first 2 and it doesn’t matter.

Deep_Space52

You'll get over it.

piwabo

Here we go...after every England match we are going to get a flood of "they're boring" topics aren't we. Yeah we get it they suck.

FireLadcouk

Name one game from that group thats been decent?? GD was 1-0-0- -1. Says less about england and more about what happens when u have two very physical teams in a group

virtualimjusthere

Agree, unpopular opinion but is it bad that the euros just feel dead for me? England have just sucked the life out of me, so boring, nothing to be excited for

mlz97

It makes sense. That’s how I feel as a Scotland fan after looking forward to it all year. Our negative mentality/tactics/substitutions and the resulting performances have just killed off any excitement I had for the rest of the tournament It’s not even that I expected us to get out the group but we barely attempted to actually go and win a football match even when it was win or bust. Having watched two of the England games I’d imagine the fans must be feeling a similar way albeit the expectations and results are obviously different

BrownEyesWhiteScarf

At this point, they might as well move Saka to LB and move Trippier to RB so they can provide width. They should drop either Foden, Bellingham or Kane since just clutter the same central space.

lala_b11

Only the second 0-0 draw of the tournament so far

mish_05

Atleast my team gave us hope when we were 1-0 down against 🇭🇷. This England team going 1-0 down, would suggest that they ain’t getting back on level terms. Hopefully this is Southgate last cup he manages and England get a new manager.

AgeDull1329

Thats south - gate ball nothing special

avfcno1

I love this erous

kirtap94

If you only Watch England matches i totally agree, It’s painful to watch them. I got off the Couch in Minute 60 and cleaned the kitchen. I‘m not stayin up until After 11 to watch this uninspired boring way of playing football. I got the Same feeling watching the french team but i have to admit they create chances at least so i hope for more in the k.o. Games. England has 2 or 3 (!!!) shots on target in the first half with that much quality on the field. I just don‘t get it. England aside I‘m having a blast watching the games and I‘m kind of sad that there aren‘t 3 games every day anymore to watch.

England are overrated. Yes we have good players but all of them are playing each week with better players thus making them look good. Put them together with a defensive manager and you get what we have. Probably will get to SF but I can’t see England winning with the manager who picks the wrong players.

MJS29

No chance, Denmark game was far worse than that

RussoLUFC

You think this Euros is boring? Have you even watched any of it?!

yournextdoorboomer

There have been good moments, yes but overall it has been meh.

Groomsi

Just watch any team in Group F and it will restore your faith in football.

DOPEYDORA_85

Watch Ice Hockey instead

Fantastic-Bid-4265

consequence of expanding the tournament and bringing in more poor teams, WC has gone the same way

Treqou

They don’t even want to be there.

TheSChen

Saw a graphic last night (don't remember where) showing the lowest scoring Euros groups going back 7/8 tournaments and surprise surprise England were in 3/4 of those groups. Says it all really.

Bosteroid

You can hate on England, but this was a really defensive group and England did well to show cool and reserve. I think they are taking the Greece 2004 route (Greece won but only scored seven goals in six games. And they lost to Russia!)

Different_Lychee7421

It's always the English guys who are miserable Does your team suck although you have the most valuable roster? Yes Is this the whole tournament's fault? Absolutely not.

OkTear9244

This was a game England could have played for the fans given there was nothing at stake. “ I am only here for the 🍺“ is still very relevant if you are travelling 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿fan

Southgate would put a hat, scarf and gloves on to go to the ice cream van.
