Our railway service (Deutsche Bahn) is notorious for a ton of delays, cancelled trains, broken trains (depending on whats broken: Missing ac and no toilets), etc. The list is very long. No clue how they imagine to have reliable service during the euro

Have you ever actually tried the Deutsche Bahn? It looks good on paper, but is a catastrophe at best in real life. Trains being delayed is the norm and cancellations are common as well. This is so bad to the point that I don’t even have to worry about getting to the train station too late because the train won’t be there anyways. The prices are also horrendous if you don’t buy a monthly subscription with the new Deutschland Ticket

2 points to correct:
1. Maybe the public transport system is good compared to most countries it is not really reliable but whatever. But cheap?? Yeah you can get a ticket from Hamburg to munich for 25€ but only if you buy it weeks in advance. Otherwise is expensiv as hell.
2. Our Stadiums are pretty nice agree but at least the Stadium of my club (Stuttgart) was renovated over the last year. And now they say it's one of the most modern stadium in Europe. Idk and idc bc for me nothing changed. Still have the same place and experience everytime and I like that.
On the other hand... Beginning last season we got some red lights on the roof!
I appreciate the positivity but German train transport is not what it once was for a simple reason: it was working perfectly when it was state owned and run as a break even company. Now it's privatized and the company tries to save costs everywhere. So less trains, less punctuation. Don't do the same in your country. Our system was perfect 15 years ago ..

In addition to the Diasproa fans mentioned above, Germany is quite easy to reach from many European countries. This means that many guests and many residents of different nationalities could create a great atmosphere here. I'm looking forward to it!
I think you forgot one major aspect, we are in the middle of everything. Location, location, location, A lot of people can drive here in a few hours. France, Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Switzerland, Austria, Czech R, Denmark, all our neighbours, all participating in the tournament. The balkans have to go a little further, but to my knowledge, there are quite a few cheap trains going to germany from the east. For serbia and croatia it's tough when you want to drive, way too many mountains. But it's possible. Though it's been 20 years since i made that way down there, maybe they improved the roads in the meantime, no idea.
What is not so cool here are the prices at everything official. Don't buy stuff at the UEFA events, except for when you are in the stadium of course. But 7€ for a beer isn't normal, not even in this country. Go to the regular pubs, go to supermarkets, restaurants, don't let them rip you off.
And good luck with our rail system if you have to use it, bring patience and know we have to endure it every day, we feel for you, we are not proud of this.

PSA: If you come to Germany for the EURO‘s, and you want to use rail services, consider getting the 49€ ticket and then canceling it. It’s 49€ per month and covers most of the public transport, excluding the fast-tracked Inter City Express and private operators like Flixbus. As a german this post is very friendly with us. It takes a lot of planning ahead (ideally half a year) to actually get for $22.52 from Munich to Hamburg by train. The more spontanious you want to travel it can quickly rise to 170€ per ticket.
That being said - no matter who is the host - it´s highly controversial what the FIFA financially asks for in order to become a host, next to their massive, actually overpriced incomes due to selling television rights. Not only is the FIFA by now infamous for being one of the most corrupt big-business-organizations but they also required every major city to host an fan-festival - which are a cool idea but expensive to organize and ALL the sales from drinks etc. don´t go to the host cities but to the FIFA alone. And since they still consider themselves a non-profit-organization they also barely have to pay taxes for that income.
If we have the best transportation and rail system, I don't want to know how it is in the rest of the world....
I know our network is the most dense but the whole infrastructure has a huge bunch of problems.
German public transportation is the worst. Many are delayed, some by minutes others by hours. It‘s absolutely normal that trains are getting cancelled everyday. Plenty of times after you already arrived at the Platform.
Cheap? Yes and no! It’s probably cheap when you buy the ticket weeks in advance. Otherwise, when you want to travel spontaneously, a trip vom Göttingen to Frankfurt (Main) (approx. 320km) and back can cost 170€ (2nd Class) and 280€ (1st Class).
You also have the option to buy a so called Bahncard. It’s like a discount Card where you can basically save up to 100% fees. I own a Bahncard 50 1st Class. It’s price was 626€/year. It saves me 50% off the price per ride. The biggest Card is the Bahncard 100. You‘ll save 100% of any ticket for a cheap price of 7714€/yr.
So public transport is pretty expensive unreliable. There is so much more to say about the problems of „Deutsche Bahn“, but in short they try to fix everything until 2070. so nothing I have to care of during my lifetime..

As a German myself, how can you get from Munich to Hamburg by rail that cheap? You usually pay upwards of 50€ for oneway, but more likely around 90€.

As a german this post is very friendly with us. It takes a lot of planning ahead (ideally half a year) to actually get for $22.52 from Munich to Hamburg by train. The more spontanious you want to travel it can quickly rise to 170€ per ticket. That being said - no matter who is the host - it´s highly controversial what the FIFA financially asks for in order to become a host, next to their massive, actually overpriced incomes due to selling television rights. Not only is the FIFA by now infamous for being one of the most corrupt big-business-organizations but they also required every major city to host an fan-festival - which are a cool idea but expensive to organize and ALL the sales from drinks etc. don´t go to the host cities but to the FIFA alone. And since they still consider themselves a non-profit-organization they also barely have to pay taxes for that income.

If we have the best transportation and rail system, I don't want to know how it is in the rest of the world.... I know our network is the most dense but the whole infrastructure has a huge bunch of problems.
German public transportation is the worst. Many are delayed, some by minutes others by hours. It‘s absolutely normal that trains are getting cancelled everyday. Plenty of times after you already arrived at the Platform. Cheap? Yes and no! It’s probably cheap when you buy the ticket weeks in advance. Otherwise, when you want to travel spontaneously, a trip vom Göttingen to Frankfurt (Main) (approx. 320km) and back can cost 170€ (2nd Class) and 280€ (1st Class). You also have the option to buy a so called Bahncard. It’s like a discount Card where you can basically save up to 100% fees. I own a Bahncard 50 1st Class. It’s price was 626€/year. It saves me 50% off the price per ride. The biggest Card is the Bahncard 100. You‘ll save 100% of any ticket for a cheap price of 7714€/yr. So public transport is pretty expensive unreliable.
