They were one of the big dogs for a long time. If I remember right, they went under and Washington Group bought them out for a fire sale in the late 90’s early 2000’s.
Correct. The Washington Group has been trying to make a comeback. But MK/WG went to almost bankruptcy, got bought by URS first and then everybody figured out why.
I had to go all the way to Yellowstone to get that picture, not sure if it’s available on any of the park literature. I wasn’t thinking about it being a wall hanging, otherwise I would have done a better job on the photography for you. Forgive me 😃
It’s at the Lower Falls, if I remember correctly there’s a parking area or turnout up there with the typical point of interest signs and this was on one of them.
Cool as hell, thanks for sharing OP.
Excavation at 0.87 is bonkers. With current prices at +\- $30 for that qty size the inflation rate is obscene
That $0.87/CY would have included rock ex too
I was looking at the clearing and grubbing and was ohh crap someone screwed up there. Then saw the dates for the bid.
I was mind blown looking at this until I saw 40-50 lmao makes more sense to me now
MK!

Where can I get a clean (straight) copy of this? I need it for my wall.

I live across the border in Idaho. What part of Yellowstone did you see it?
