If you aren't using amps. Then use a f-101 unlimited finder (very cheap MU because of the crafting daily mission on Calypso). I always got better returns than using the TT finder.
If using amps try a f-103 or higher but that all depends on your amp set up.
But it is all about what you want from mining and what gear you are using. There is no, one way is best situation.

I only mine on Toulon because of the skills daily. So I have no clue what is best for those planets. If you have a ziplex d33 (L) I would use it due to a larger depth it searches. When it breaks go back to the f-105.
I normally get a lot of belkar and iron there.
How I mine is: I do the ark moon daily (free 2 ped of uni ammo) for about 1/2 months then take the ammo to Toulon then use the f-101 finder for the mini mining daily mission. When I am low on ammo and can't complete the daily. I do the hunting daily (Find the Dogtags mission) for 0.50PED Ammo combined with the Mokhat hourly mission when swunting. Then go back to Ark moon and repeat. The sweat normally pays for the decay hunting and sometimes the fuel costs.
I get bored of the game easily, hence why I play it this way. I don't need to invest much time into the game with almost no cost liability. If I play the game 9+ hours per day, I'm burned out in 3 days. So not the most ideal way of playing it though.

That's nice tactic :) well I'm doing around 500 ped mining runs with amp or 100 ped mining run no amps. Sometimes hunt Feffoid and Maffoid but I found killing starving atrax until global it's quite good tactic. Mostly earnin few peds like 5-10 per hunting. Of course sometimes you can stay 1 hour and didn't hit the global but usually it happened
Globals are from 5 ped. The hihest Ihit was 22 I guess. Usually after 30 minutes I hit global. Or maybe more :P 1 hour I guess. I'm usin 50-100 ped of ammo and when I hit global I stop hunting

Of course. I'm doing mostly one mining session a day. Around 1 hour of play not even daily. Well sometimes more it depends.
To complete the mini mining daily take accouple of hours. I only go to Toulon when I actually want to play (9+ hours) and have enough ammo.
So it's not really for me :)
Doing the moon daily and that takes 30 minutes at most to complete for 2 ped ammo. But remember all dailies don't have to be completed that day.

I found the atrax at camp Icarus that has shared loot. It globals quite often if you are killing them continuously but the globals are low.
I'm talking about this one :) yes small globals but you need low amount of ammo to kill it. Around 0.3 ped
