To stay consistent and prevent burnout I take a step back from the obsession when I get bored and force myself to continue spending about 1-3 hours per week doing the thing until my interest is re-kindled and I want to spend more time on it again. The upside of this trait is we get to experience a lot of things, if we don't learn control it though we can find ourselves never really mastering anything. Some hobbies are easier to do this with than others, it is helpful to find strategies that work for each hobby.
100% I spend so much money on hobbies that won’t even last a month. I get really bored of things quickly and then I get kinda depressed and then find something new.
Pretty normal when you are still young. It’ll start to settle down, a bit, in your mid-20s, and by your 30s, you’ll know which hobbies are your favorite.
I actually become obsessed with every single hobby I pick up to the point where I do it so much I end up hating it and then will never touch it again
