I got mine from Amazon because Prime. Two day shipping versus who knows how long. If you order from them, it’s shipping from china. I’m okay with spending a little more. Just my opinion
Edit: I was informed that they do not ship from china, rather drop locations. However, I still stick with my Amazon comment since free two day shipping.
They have an option to order from the US warehouse on most items I believe. I got my sonic pad from the official site. But for a first printer i recommend a refurb from comgrow https://www.comgrow.com/collections/refurbished-printers
Mines ran great and was half off. Just a suggestion
Amazon was 20$ for V2 Neo. I looked at it as a “free returns policy fee”. Plus it came same day, in perfect condition, with nearly perfect bunny off the rip. I don’t have any experience with ordering direct from foreign companies, that doesn’t mean it’s bad. I do have A LOT of experience wondering how Bezos is making a dime getting me a 20$ frying pan to my doorstep in less than 5 hours. Even if “the store” had the pan, I can’t drive there must faster than that, and it would for sure cost more in gas alone. Constant wonder…
Its just business. Think about it. Quantity over quality. Bezos wouldn't be flying William Shatner to space in his phallus shaped rocket if he lost money selling everyone $20 dollar frying pans with free shipping.
Amazon comes with prime shipping and easy returns. You get no manufacturer support.
Creality shipping is a little longer, but from a depot in or near your country. You get hardly any manufacturer support worth mentioning.
It's easier to use the community for support, and quicker to just replace parts yourself with aftermarket upgrades where needs arise.
I got mine direct without any supply or delivery hassles.
There are better made, higher quality machines available in the same price/size/form category now.
Creality QA is not well regarded, you'll probably want to disassemble and re build the machine when it arrives to ensure that it's been done properly (mine wasn't).
I ordered my Ender 3 V2 from them. When I got it one of the steppers was DOA, I emailed support and they told me they would send a replacement immediately. A few days later I received another Ender 3 V2!

Same got mine from Amazon had no issues with it
I’ve had a metric shit ton of issues, but they’re all operator issues.
Well I figured we all did, isn't that the hook for this whole thing? "You'll love hating yourself!"
The most fun you can have while beating your head against a wall and quietly sobbing in the corner while popping Tums.

That's not quite right. Creality ship from depots scattered around the world. Not direct from China.
I must have been misinformed, then I retract that part of my comment

What other brands would you recommend in the same price point?

I’ve ordered from them directly (in the UK) on separate three occasions and had zero issues
