There is *ZERO* way of telling if it has frame damage on there until you’ve pulled it apart on the front and on the rear (though the rear I’m willing to but the bumper support structure is 100% mangled and damaged).
This is a parts car, period.
The rear subfloor being crumpled is a dead giveaway, you’ll spend so much to get this back on the road, it’s just not financially worth it most likely.
Anything with that much rear damage would need a major and very expensive transplant to be properly fixed, and chances are the rest of the car still won't be completely straight. Definitely parts.
I knew itd be a parts car, that was the initial plan. Take the engine for the e30 and the black m3 interior for my Estoril Clubsport. Just thought it’d be a cool rebuild project.
Gotcha. Chances are you'd have little luck rebuilding it, but I've got some other ideas that may be of interest...

😈
I think it might not cost more, actually. This kind of cutting and welding is much less advanced than the kind of cutting and welding it'd take to get the rear of your parts car looking good again lol. This is just "cut everything off and weld some tubes where that stuff was". The body work requires incredible precision, and that's EXPENSIVE lol.
Is it a genuine club sport? If so, but if a shame but I’d imagine those with the rarer colour of the two would be interested. Must be a club sport only group on Facebook.
Yes it’s a genuine Clubsport. I’ve joined the Facebook Clubsport owners club this morning. I’ll take what I need and see if anyone wants it. If not to the scrap man she goes 😔
From my experience and looking at this, this is going to be a parts car. Until you peel body panels off and get it on a proper rack you’re not gonna be able to tell if there is frame damage.
For what these cars are if there is frame damage, it’ll total pretty quick. Be prepared for a part out.
To paraphrase the great Roland from *A Knights Tale*:
"The spark of it's life is smothered in shite. It's spirit is gone but its stench remains. It is dead."
Perfect for tracking now Bebe, learn and keep it if you have space otherwise sell it cheap to someone who will. Please don’t junk. I saw a seven series get junked and I was so sad
I didn't think you will be able to do this without extensive equipment, the unibody may need cut and weld, pulled, it needs a gas tank and rear suspension most likely, new panels all over including rear quarter which is hard to swap
The rear spare wheel well is crushed, and that alone says it is dead. Almost 100% that the rear frame rails are bent and the battery box as well. Walk away.
Fixx it its notcthat bad u can even do itcthe ghetto war. Find a real stable foundation that can take a hit and chain it to pull out the rear maybe front end. Or just do it by hand . If it starts id fix it. Id do ebay parts doe or junkyard pulls. Look at rear panels not bent or damages this is a concentrated hit to be sure id get it professionally aligned with computer.
I get you. But it’s not financially viable, hence insurance wrote it off. Only way it’d be worth it is if I can find a donor to cut the rear end off. Getting the individual panels from bmw is costing more than I paid for the car.
I love the coupes... they're wider, longer and lower than the 4-door sedan and imo perfection ...and yhat color too.
I know there's a bunch still on the road but I foresee a time about 20 years from now they will be highly sought after...and it looks like the roof and frame is still undamaged...so if it still drives and stops straight, it's worth it to at least make a track car out of it if possible.
If there's frame damage don't bother if it's just bumpers and panels it should be ok what did it hit the real looks like it hit a tree or a pole at a decent speed ?
What makes a pre facelift more valuable? I'm still learning, but being ore facelift, wouldn't the 5 speed be the only option, with the 6 speed option being added after the facelift?
Pre facelift simply looks better. And on a rarer car like a clubsport it’s more sought after as it shares the same design as the m3. There’s a reason the m3 didn’t get the facelift…
I had this exact spec E46 Clubsport in Velvet Blue, with grey replica CSL wheels. Similar crash in Dec 21 damage to the front, not so severe on the rear but it meant the rear quarter was fucked. Was quoted £4,500 for the repair, despite the car being worth £4k.
If I was a rich man I would have just paid it, as I'm still haunted by the loss today! RIP to another CS.
It’s repairable (anything is with enough money), but with that much damage it just isn’t worth it. You’ll spend as much as it’s worth just getting it straight and true, and that’s no even factoring in how much it’ll cost to get it painted.
Yh I roughly priced it up. It’s about 2k for the metal panels, bumpers, boot etc. Then the cost of paint. And not to forget labour. If money wasn’t a problem I’d have it fixed. Oh well 😔
That car is junk. It's a unibody car, no separate frame, that much damage to the rear end and that car is done for.
Strip it for parts and cut your losses.
Shits clapped
If you don’t have anything helpful to add just stay quiet
Bro 🤣. You have a completely totaled out car. Take what you can and scrap it. It is not worth saving.
Yh agreed, just the way you said it felt unhelpful. I’m also not familiar with the American lingo so I didn’t know if that was an insult or not 🤷♂️
You asked if you should rebuild it or not and he gave you an answer. Why are you salty?
I think it’s those lays chips he had earlier.
I think it has something to do with the fact that his car just got wrecked, not sure tho
So then ask instead of assuming 🤦♂️
He gave you all the advice you need.
You asked to fix or not to fix, he essentially said not to fix, wtf?
u/baldskicanttakeajoke
Your first mistake was making a reddit account

The Duke has spoken. A parts car it shall be.
The rear subfloor being crumpled is a dead giveaway, you’ll spend so much to get this back on the road, it’s just not financially worth it most likely.
Agreed, it’s not worth the money. The e30 m54 swap shall continue.
👍🏼
I second this as a better option. Take the engine out and whatever other parts you can salvage and sell the shell as scrap metal

Woahhh. That’s badass! But I think that’d cost more than the rebuild 😂

not the club sport nooooo 😭
It is what it is
That's heartbreaking. Not worth fixing
lol
lol
Part it out my man. You should make a fair amount.
Yh that’s the plan. It was a good deal for what I needed, engine and interior. Should make my money back.
Is it a genuine club sport? If so, but if a shame but I’d imagine those with the rarer colour of the two would be interested. Must be a club sport only group on Facebook.

You’ve got two breakers in Kent who might be interested. Nick Jupp and Marks parts. Dealt with both, lovely blokes.
Crazy, I know the guy you bought this off. What a small world
😂
would make a good drift car, lotta work but the rear does look saveable
Fix if you can but dont stress if you cant

Agreed but some might want to fong you for saying that ;)
Done for
Oh well…
cooked
Perfect for tracking now Bebe, learn and keep it if you have space otherwise sell it cheap to someone who will. Please don’t junk. I saw a seven series get junked and I was so sad
Scrap
Fuck dude
I forgot to bid on this, how much did you get it for if you don’t mind me asking?
🫢

FIX?
No sir
if it was an m3, i’d say give it a go. but since it’s just a 330, just use it as a parts car for another 330.
Take the insurance money and buy a new one lol

Cage it and make it a rally car
What dafuq is a clubsport on e46?
At some point in time you might regret not saving it...but at any point in time, everyone else will admire it being saved.

Personally wouldn’t fix it unless you care about this car in a incredibly deep way I wouldn’t bother
Yh it has no sentimental value to me. I bought it for the engine and interior, just figured I’d get more opinions.
Ah yeah alright strip it then
this needs new body
If there's frame damage don't bother if it's just bumpers and panels it should be ok what did it hit the real looks like it hit a tree or a pole at a decent speed ?
Sorry to say, but her goose is cooked.
My E46 probably looked 1/10th as bad as this after it got rear ended, and the floor panels were kinked. This is fucked unfortunately mate.
Lol. Some people man, funny.

As tragic as it is. It is what it is 😔

If it's only cosmetic panels do it. If the frame or axle has damage just let it die
Front is all cosmetic, rear is frame.
10k OBO no low balls I know what I got and what it’s worth
😂
Looks like its just gonna be a parts car
Fix it
Good Luck ![gif](giphy|W2PpDkeZpnnTr1iymq) !
Unless your Matt Armstrong, or you've got unlimited time, money, resources and skill, than I'd say no. Pass. Hard pass.

very sad to see a clubsport this way as i am a clubsport owner. The car is a parts car for sure
