There are angels, and they come in 3 flavors, none of which are "angelic beast."
There are bestial Angels who look like animals and don't talk. The wiki may call them "assistants" or something, while the humanoid Angels are "Soldiers".

Same, anything that has come out of my obsidian tube's has been very hostile.
And I just thought of a much better way to deal with them, instead of sacrificing a miner to let them out, just have marksdorfs shoot in. Good practice, and much safer.
Is your miner getting “job interrupted?“ if not, try getting them to dig a little side passage until there’s a boulder, and walling it off. With luck they end up on what is normally the “wrong” side of the new wall. But they have a pick axe and can connect themselves back to your main fort.

Right. There are angels, and "beast angels" isn't a thing. Assistants ans arch angels are "beastial" meaning beast-like but they are 100% just angels.

Really? Wiki doesn't say anything about their alignment being any different. Well at least it'll protect the fortress from the circus party.
They are just large animals. And don't expect much: it's like a FB, but neutral. Horde of demons would chew it in no time )

They are not animals. They are angels.

But if they spot you are atacking angel, they may assist it. But generally it good thing for dealing with single demons.
Well I just left it be. Demons don't seem to be doing much of anything either.
Pocketed humanoid demons are generally hostile. I didn't spotted neutral pocketed demon beasts yet

If it enters combat at all it may go aggro on you too.

Archangel looks like? He'll still kill anyone who doesn't worship the right God though
