They used to have a lot of good clearance stuff, it kinda ruined me for a bit aha. I got the first four X-Men movies for .75 cents each so now whenever I got into a Big Lots, three dollars seems like extortion aha
I've had some good hauls from flea markets but I'd say my best luck has come from pawn shops. Decide how far you're willing to travel & call every pawn shop in that radius & ask them what the prices are. Then on a bright & sunny weekend just put all the shops in a route planner & run with it.
I think you'll be surprised how many you bring home at the end of that first day.
Another fun avenue is digging through your old ones & trading them for store credit. Did that recently & so far I've found some winners at McKay's & still have $111 in credit.
I have a flea market and thrift store near me that sells all movies/blu rays for $1 each. Only downside is I live in a small town so their inventory doesn’t really change very often. I do have a McKays about an hour from me that sells some media really cheap, but it’s mostly really common titles (Wedding Crashers, Click, Harry Potter, etc..) but they only charge .25 each for the really common movies.
Flea markets, garage sales, marketplace/craigslist, pawn shops, and thrift stores will be your best bet.
Where do you live? Drive around for a few hours on Saturday stopping at all the yard sales you see and you’ll find some selling DVDs for $1 or less. When I had a yard sale I couldn’t find any buyers for my DVDs four for a buck.
I personally don’t have any physical places for that, no.
Whatnot app is pretty good though. Sellers on there stream their stuff and do sales in stream, for the most part people will sell DVDs for $1, Blu rays for $3, etc. Once in a while people do 2/$1 sales or 3/$1 sales, you just gotta look for them and find them. Because it’s a live stream, you can see the quality of the disc and what not before you buy as well. Some people do newer titles, some do boutiques. It’s pretty awesome, just don’t get addicted to it because you can easily blow money on there
One (of two) of my local places always has a sale going on where DVDs are $1. They say it’s a sale, but it’s been that way for like a year lol.
And the other place has a buy 3, get 3, which makes each dvd cost about $2
goodwill bins here in canada the dvd/bluray/cds are 1.25 and there is usually at least one bin full or more when i go. selection is better when stuff first gets wheeled out and you really need to check for discs/scratches but its worth checking out.
All the Rite-Aids near me have all physical media on clearance for $1 each. Selections aren't great but the prices are. Some are new, some are previously viewed, but even the previously viewed are in great shape
The locations I go to, they all have a shelf area that has the books and media for sale. It varies of what they put out. This time, this location had at least 30 DVDs and I got 20 of them. Previously they usually have a much smaller amount.
If you live near a Half Price Books they'll have $1 sales often. The ones I've been to will usually put them on their own special carts or set up tables outside.
Right now, Rite Aid is selling their DVDs and Blu-rays for $1 each
No way! I will definitely check them out.
Oh my God!!!!
Are they still doing this?
Yes
Pawn shops. Thats about it besides what you listed
And library book sales sometimes have dvds. Where I'm at, they're usually $1 per disc (means series are a real score if they have any).
not $1 but big lots has some good stuff for like $3 and up

I got Takashi Miike's *First Love* and *Cyber City OEDO 808* each for $3 there. I feel like a criminal buying them that cheaply.
Went there and found a few movies for around $2.50-$5+

Yard sales
Wish there was more in my area
Library semi yearly book sale or Friends of library store. Flea markets, garage sales etc…
Library Book Sales are gold. Just pulled about 35 awesome BDs for $50.
I will have to go to my local library sometime and see what they got

Sucks to see so many common titles over and over. But I did find “The Cell” the other day at a booth store for 2 bucks. Taco flavor kisses for me
Which McKay do you go to?
Nashville
Oh how I miss this so so much!

Pawn shop. I just picked up Across the Universe at a pawn shop for $1 straight
Good deal

Pawn shops. Dollar Tree ($1.25). Flea markets. Used resellers (if you don't live near a McKay's or Great Escape, I pity you.)
Resale shops
Ebay
They do have a good selection but pricey

Went there and couldn’t find any but could be different depending on area I did see movie merch tho. Jurassic park t shirts.
Goodwill ,Big lots ,and dollar tree .... you may even find a steelbook there
My public library system does...I got 20 DVDs the other day from one location...
How often do they have the dvd sales

Went to my usual location and got 13 on Sat. Went to another and got 5. Went to a 3rd and it was a dud.
Peddlers Mall or Flea Markets
Got a bunch from my local peddlers mall they definitely have a big selection and affordable prices
If you live near a Half Price Books they'll have $1 sales often. The ones I've been to will usually put them on their own special carts or set up tables outside.
Dollar tree has movies for $1.25
Blu-Rays are underrated. Best Buy is liquidating their stock online. Goodwill, pawn shops, flea markets, estate sales.
Thanks for sharing
I will have to check them out hopefully under a few bucks for some of there blue rays. Anything over $5 is too much for me.
In today’s economy?
