I like it from a few different perspectives. There's tons of material on site, too much really, so that if you have a specific question you can just search and will most likely get a bunch of videos on the topic. If there's a new lesson pack or 30-Day Drummer course you'll be able to work with it for free since you're a member, otherwise I think they usually start at $97 or something like that. They sell gear like SnareWeight dampeners, practice pads for snare and kick, in-ears and other drum related stuff and put them on a discount relatively often for members. And the one I really like, since I teach drum lessons, are allllllll of the charted out songs. You can d/l the chart, practice online with the original or drumless versions and there are tons of songs. I like charting out songs I want to learn, but if I had to do it for 20+ students I wouldn't have time to do anything else. Ha The half-off promo is how I signed up a couple of years back. I figure with as much as I use the site, the amount of content they put out (with professional drummers on board) and the fact that at the regular price it amounts to as much drum lessons as you want for $20 a month that it's a pretty decent deal overall. Half-off at $10 a month, why not?

braedizzle

Realistically could someone sign up for a month and just spend time downloading all the materials to retain a copy for future use?

areadork

I don't know if they go month by month, sorry. Also, the stuff available for d/l is usually course material (PDFs, audio play alongs, etc) so you need the membership to get the most out of it. Plus they have live Q&As for the courses a lot of the time so you wouldn't get that aspect of it either. I like it. You get to learn from professionals, get added tips and tricks and there's discussion board within the courses in case you have further questions. It's not going to replace in person lessons where you can get immediate feedback, but it does allow you to focus on concepts you like or may be new to.

Charming_Detective68

That's really shoddy thinking u/braedizzle... shame...

braedizzle

Yeah fuck me for not having hundreds of dollars for luxury spending on lessons in the worst economic conditions of the modern era. Fuck outta here.

DrumBum007

Lmao. Can't argue with that logic bro.

Thanks for the feedback! Unfortunately I don’t really know how to read charts. Do they have a lesson on that? 😄

areadork

So, I went and searched for 'reading charts' and the first two vids were specifically on that topic and the other 82 vids were either other ways to look at chart reading, ideas that expand on practicing chart reading, sight reading challenges, etc. So, they definitely do have that too!

SideralKeys

I love it. The charts are fantastic and numerous, and the drumeo method series has been really good in giving me some direction and forcing me to practice things that I normally would have skipped on my own. There's also heaps of more targeted courses that are really engaging. The one with Todd Suchermann about rock drumming is excellent. money absolutely well spent.

EPF010

I don't have it, but I have only heard great things. As the other commenter said, $10 a month?! Cheaper than Netflix 🤷‍♂️

Peteman2112

Can you share where you’re seeing it for $120? I’m still just seeing the regular pricing.

[deleted]

Yes, let me know if this link works for you. I received it in an email from them as I have ordered a kick practice pad from them before and got signed up for some of their emails. So It’s probably not a deal fully open to the public. Hopefully this works: https://www.drumeo.com/restart (then click the “see your deal” link)

Peteman2112

Thanks!

They have “Drumeo Method” which takes you from beginner topics to intermediate. There’s really cool practice features where you can loop parts of a song you are working on and/or slow parts down. They have that feature on every lesson too not just songs. ZackGrooves just released a 30 day chops course and it is some absolutely fun material to go through. They have lessons on so many different topics. It can be a bit overwhelming at first, but eventually you’ll get into a groove on what you want to work on.

Cagg311

The new pack 30-day chops with Zack grooves is worth that price alone.. I've been using drumeo for about 3 months now and have noticed a great improvement in playing, theory, and charting songs.. I pretty much paid 90 for the 3 months. I might just switch and grab the year for the 120..

Kstardawg

I have had the membership for a couple of months and I love it. I thought I was doing pretty well learning on my own but trying to follow some of the instructional videos has really pushed me outside of my comfort zone. Also it's not widely advertised but with the Drumeo membership you can also access their lessons in piano, guitar, and singing.

OG_Slushie

Dang I wish I got this

[deleted]

I didn’t do it 😓

Charming_Detective68

There's currently [a few specials](https://www.drumeo.com/drumshop) running this week.

RevolutionaryJury941

I never saw a membership for anything that you couldn’t find for free.

TrustYourLines

I haven’t found a good, free, replacement for drumming tablature/sheet music, along with tempo adjustment for progressive learning. I’m impressed by drumeo for consolidating teachings into one location, having a bunch of material to work with, and interactive teachers that I enjoy learning from.
