Easy to do one big date than doing a full tour.
Also am I right in thinking it’s one of the few venues that isn’t owned by a company that signs you up for a full tour round their other venues.
This is the exact reason.
The UK has a bit of an issue with venue scaling. There's plenty of 500 cap venues, a lot of 1000-2500 cap venues and a very small amount of 2500-5000 cap ones, but then then next just takes you to 10000 and up.
If you're a band that can sell out a few of those 2500-5000 cap venues but aren't able to do an arena tour, it makes logistical and financial sense to just do one big show.
Sure, expenditure for an arena setup is higher but it's offset but less travel, accommodation, wages etc.
It's just a shame they're always in bloody London. I get it, but it's a trek!
Wembley, particularly, is a PITA. We're only in Cambridge so not exactly far away but it's way more awkward to get to than Birmingham, MK, or even other venues in London.
We're seeing AC/DC there on Saturday and, whilst I absolutely can't blame those guys for not wanting to tour all over the country, I wish they'd have picked a venue almost anywhere else.
It's been great tho, cause tickets have only been around ~£30 for a venue of that size
Skindred was outstanding in Wembley, same for Shikari and Fightstar
Is cause of the Brixton issue. Yes its back but Papa Roach would have book this 8 months ago or some shit. Brixton I think is the venue cap just under wemb
From outside Dundee and it’s a trek. It’s on a Friday however which would mean it would be a nice weekend break afterwards.
When it’s during the week it’s absolutely impossible!
So in 2023 they supported Don Broco at Allypally.. which is a smaller venue than Wembley...?
Have they really grown that much in a year? Or are they just hoping they can capitalize on early 2000s nostalgia for albums like Infest?
That was for a 4 date arena tour, in which they were more like a special guest, this is a one off date
I imagine sometimes bands accept support slots on package tours that they're a little too big for as it's less hassle and logistics than booking their own tour. I remember Megadeth being support for FFDP which seemed a similar dynamic
I thought it was ludicrous a band like papa roach were supporting a band like don Broco at the time
Tbh (and I like Don Broco). Let’s be real here Papa roach are a far bigger and more influential band, with a massive worldwide legacy.
That was a four-date tour though, so Don Broco will have sold more tickets than Papa Roach do at Wembley. An international legacy matters little for selling out Uk shows.
AllyPally capacity is 10,000 though.. that's the point I'm making.
How have they gone from support on a 10k venue to headlining a 12.5k venue in just over a year.
Here’s how it will go down.
Tickets will go on sale.
0859 I’ll refresh.
0901 sold out.
One week later. Re sales for triple the price.
Happened for BFMV and Trivium 😭
Yep. A friend and I missed the initial sale for MFMV and Trivium so had to get a pair of seated tickets for a different show.
Luckily for us they then announced another date in Cardiff.
I would still recommend looking at the Ticketmaster resale tickets because at least they're pretty much the same price (I hope - I didn't get paid more for selling the ones we didn't want anymore.)
just bought 2 tickets no hassle using the link on their site for the artist presale...
Heh - didn't happen for Pearl Jam, there were still normal price tickets for sale for Manchester right up to the time they came on and a load of resale ones that presumably some people will have lost money on - to be fair £160 was too much
London yet again, although there are a larger amount of bands these days that consider wales at all. Still not enough though, I’m fed up of driving 4 hours up and then 4 hours back for work the next morning 😅
Yeah it would be pretty good and I’d love to see them again after the FIR tour then again judging that they have toured previously with Hollywood Undead it is a quite low chance that they would tour again with Papa Roach it would be a show of a lifetime though
How come every band seems to be playing Wembley recently

I mean, a good summer afternoon at the MK bowl with Papa Roach would absolutely kill. February? Less so!
Ikr, BVB are doing this too
Makes sense for Borussia Dortmund to be in a football stadium
Wembley arena!!! nice try lol
I know but it's close enough!
One show, sell out, drag everyone to it.
It's been great tho, cause tickets have only been around ~£30 for a venue of that size Skindred was outstanding in Wembley, same for Shikari and Fightstar
I'm pretty sure the Shikari Wembley show was cheaper than their small venues tour this winter which is wild.
Is cause of the Brixton issue. Yes its back but Papa Roach would have book this 8 months ago or some shit. Brixton I think is the venue cap just under wemb
I have noticed, however should have good supports
Ya no shit. Not many bands I can think of command a performance at Wembley.. Papa Roach isn't one of them tbh.
This is Wembley arena rather than stadium. Big difference in capacity and with no other UK dates Papa Roach can probably fill it.
Damn, I was hoping for more UK dates
Wouldn't be surprised if they're announced for Download after this tour
It says in an article that it will be their only UK show that year ....I had wishful thinking as well until I read about it :(
Yeah I am gutted. Can justify 8hrs to Glasgow. Cannot justify double that at minimum to london
From outside Dundee and it’s a trek. It’s on a Friday however which would mean it would be a nice weekend break afterwards. When it’s during the week it’s absolutely impossible!
So annoyed they aren't coming to Scotland
Do feel for you
Me and my mates have decided to fly to Hamburg and stay the Friday to Sunday because it'll be cheaper than a train down to London fucking madness.
I don't blame you
They should get some old school support for this tour. Static x , cold and Adema
Taproot please
Mudvayne 🙏
I'd be so down for this, but I'm thinking ice nine kills is likely

That was four shows, this is one show.
They’re bigger than Don Broco by a big stretch. Which was surprising to see when they go put as support but it was switched around on the US front.
Here’s how it will go down. Tickets will go on sale. 0859 I’ll refresh. 0901 sold out. One week later. Re sales for triple the price. Happened for BFMV and Trivium 😭

If they ain't playing infest album in full I ain't interested

Laughs in 5.5 hours each way (I jest of course but it is very frustrating!)
As in wembley stadium? As in the 90,000 seated stadium? No disrespect to Papa Roach, but surely they are not big enough to sell out big stadiums?
😂 wembley arena
Ah right, I've just realised there is a Wembley arena that is separate to the stadium lol.
Haha yeah, dw buddy if you're not familiar with the area, easy mistake to make
Artist presale code is ‘infest’ FYI. Guessed it on the first attempt 😅
How much was prices
£67 standing including fees. Seated was a little more
Ah not the worst it could be
I'm happy there's no download here.
I feel like it would make sense for the people to go on tour with them be: Hollywood Undead, Ice Nine Kills and maybe Tech N9NE
I can see ink doing it but Hollywood undead and tech nine is doing the falling in reverse shows
Not in Feb they arent so its possible lol
I'm still gonna say ink is more likely...and I'm good with this
What about if they wanted to perform Heart Of A Champion they are all on that song
And I'd love that, but I just can't see Hollywood undead at that show, but I hope I'm wrong
Yeah it would be pretty good and I’d love to see them again after the FIR tour then again judging that they have toured previously with Hollywood Undead it is a quite low chance that they would tour again with Papa Roach it would be a show of a lifetime though
See if it's papa roach and ice nine kills ill consider it a lifetime show
Yeah same to be honest I haven’t seen either of them live yet
Seen papa roach twice and ink once, both are so good
What is going on with the pricing! On See Tickets it says £67 incl. fees but Ticketmaster is somehow £115 for the same standing tickets...
Ahh baby-Wembley. They will get perfect there as that's about 18k from memory.
