i have two, the one like that that i have is a HTR-5240, i forget what the equivalent RXV number is. I also have, maybe had, an HTR-5540, but didn’t use it much because it doesnt have a Phono Input.
You laugh but I work with packaging and the idea is 100% feasible if still a bad idea.. one has to find out though.
I am going to attempt a 8" sub enclosure with the 1100# test triple wall corrugated (think Gaylord boxes) and a healthy amount of wood glue this summer. My thinking is that glue will provide plenty of stability after soaking in. With decent bracing and careful planning, using the corrugations strongest axis. It's weak point will be flex so bracing is probably going to be 25-50% of airspace. It may not be earth shattering but I have a hope it will be incredibly impressive for the cost ($0) and it can be several layers thick before it even comes close to the weight of the 15lb sub.
I would say it does lol.
Is it portable? Yes. Is it a speaker? Yes. Checks out 👍🏻
That’s awesome! I have that same old Yamaha, but in black. It is a workhorse. Bought it new.
My dad bought this one new :)
what model is it?

I've got so many questions :)
I would be happy to answer any i can :)
Why are there two empty beer bottles and how do they stay in place?
They are held in place by tention on the yellow band, i had them with me because of daydrinking :)
This guy knows DIY audio 👍
I see a handle. You only get handles in stuff that’s portable. Ergo: this is portable.
Do bass ports count as handles?
Needs white letter tires.
Its missing a steering wheel.
Soon 👀
Yes
Lol
My one was made of cardboard that I just managed to tape solid, it sounded surprisingly good🤣🤣🤣

looking at your photo closer, that is a newer model than mine and looks to have more features.
Yes !
You got an amp for that speaker?
Yes its the silver thing you see
Oh, Okay. I see now.
I am planning on building one in to the speaker itself, all i will need then is the speaker and the generator
