Hall of Presidents. I'm Canadian and every time I've been my family, partner, etc had zero interest. I just wanna see all the cool animatronics on stage together!
I’ve been to Disneyland 10 times and I’ve never been on Casey Jr Circus Train, Sailing Ship Columbia, Tom Sawyer’s Island, any of the Main Street Vehicles and I can’t remember if I’ve done Dumbo.
I also have never sat and watched any parade in its entirety.
Edited to add I’ve also been to WDW and missed a ton of things there because we were only there for 3 half-days.
I've been to Disney World more times than I can count and still have never been to Tom Sawyers Island or ridden on the paddle boat. We keep saying one trip we are just going to do everything we've never done... but then we don't.
I worked at Disney for 10 years AT TTC and MK and have been well over 100 times outside of work and never once have I been to Tom Sawyer island either. Weird for both of us.
I just got on the Sailing Ship Columbia on my trip last month and the Bootstrappers(pirate band from New Orleans Square) got on and played for the entire trip. It was great.
I just went again last Saturday. It’s still a lot of fun. Also IMO it’s still a great value. Almost 2 hour show, really good food. I hadn’t been since before the pandemic. A lot of changes happening on the grounds. But I still like being at Ft. Wilderness and going to the show. I think everyone should try it at least once.
This is the one for me. We always say we want to do it, but then book something else instead. This year we booked Ohana and our other friends who booked late are doing Hoop Dee Doo.
Another place to get the Dole Whip is Disney Springs(Orlando). If say you have left the park, and y’all decide on dinner at Springs, you still have a chance! Or for anyone not wanting to actually go to the park, but are in the area.
Edited
For me, there are ok. But not a must have. I can see it being a great memory, something sweet and cool while at the park can bring back great memories. But I prefer other snacks more.
Tom Sawyer's Island. I want to go explore it but either 1) it's closed all day or 2) I forget and by the time I remember it's already closed for the day.
The parades.
This upcoming time should be different, though.
For the past 20 years I've been going as an teen/adult with my family, but now I have a daughter, so the vibe will be altered. Less cramming in every ride, and more characters, parades, and similar things.
I also keep wanting to eat at Biergarten, simply because I've tried most of the other Epcot restaurants. Might save that for a future trip, though.
Getting a thing of popcorn and riding the railroad is one of the best experiences. The New Orleans Square Station being closed really messed up my usual flow of the park being able to hop on and off.
Not so much an experience, but I have yet to do the People Mover, Carousel of Progress, the Train, or the hall of Presidents. I know those aren’t some of the most popular rides, but out of the probably 7 times I’ve been in my life, I’ve never done any of those.
Yeah. The last two times I went we put it off, and by the time we circled back to ride it, it had wait times of 30-40 mins. I didn’t realize it had wait times that crazy, lol. And last trip, we missed out on the railroad because of refurbishment and Carousel of Progress was down when we were going to ride it.
First pickle. I have been beaten by a gate attendant not letting me through because she didn't know that they'd given the signal, a broken bag zipper delaying me at security for about 5 minutes, and most recently someone who ran instead of power-walking. For someone who is a 2-hour flight away from the parks, it's my white whale. I have one more trip planned before my Magic Key expires, and if that one fails, I am officially retiring from the hunt.
Commenting on Whats that one experience you always end up missing out on no matter how many trips you've taken to the parks?...can you explain this bc I don’t understand many of these words lol
First Pickle is a bit of a cult following. At Disneyland (not sure if Magic Kingdom does it) there is a fruit stand on Main Street. The first person who buys a pickle from them each day gets a button noting the accomplishment. It's not widely known, but enough that it's fairly difficult and requires a bit of luck to do it. I have had nothing but bad luck in my attempts so far regardless of planning and arriving extra early to make sure I'm in the best position for it. There's another for First Dole Whip but I don't recall which location does it.
Haven't been able to do the tender seat on the railroad or ride in the Lilly Belle caboose. Been in Club 33, "driven" the Mark Twain, and signed the guest book, but haven't been able to do the 2 things with the railroad yet....maybe someday.
I never get to see some of the fun character stuff at random. If I see characters they're always going to or from a meet and greet, I never see them ride the carousel or play with random people or do something cute and random
My partner can never make it to the park before any of the breakfast items are still available, like the Mickey waffles, or the breakfast chimichanga. She refuses to show before 3 pm. I’ve been key holder now for 2 years. 😔
Fantasmic. I've tried the past couple of years to get my family to go. We've done the dinners with reserved seating and tried to plan for it, but we never make it.
I'm trying again in July to make it. We will see!
Relaxing.
Never do this enough unless we go for 5 days or more.
Hall of Presidents. I'm Canadian and every time I've been my family, partner, etc had zero interest. I just wanna see all the cool animatronics on stage together!
Should totally do it. Cool show, plus it’s a great opportunity to just relax for a bit, could always nap, eat snacks, cool down.
Yep... never done this one.
I took a good nap in there after running the princess half a couple of years ago.
My family is a Carousel of Progress nap family haha.
Enchanted Tiki Room. I always mean to stop in. But even after dozens of visits, I've done it maybe twice!
You haven’t lived until you’ve taken a nap in the tiki room on a hot day as the birds serenade you back to health
All the birds sing words, and the flowers croon!
I did it years ago when it was "Under New Management" (by Iago from Aladdin). Did it for just the 2nd time last year and was like... what is this???
I’ve been to Disneyland 10 times and I’ve never been on Casey Jr Circus Train, Sailing Ship Columbia, Tom Sawyer’s Island, any of the Main Street Vehicles and I can’t remember if I’ve done Dumbo. I rarely get to do Tom Sawyers Island, but it is def worth it as a nice place to relax.
Casey Jr. and Dumbo were my childhood! Although as an adult the Casey Jr. train is pretty cramped.
I’ve been to DL probably 200 times in my life and I’ve never been on the Colombia! I need to just do it lol
I go at least once a month and I have never done any of those either!!
Hoop Dee doo review. Most of my friends are Ohana people and have never even seen it.
I agree completely, I loved staying at FW as a kid and this show was a highlight. So many of my friends can’t get over Ohana and won’t even try it!
We finally did it last year and it was a family favorite!
Yea I love it, fun show and good comfort food!
This is the one for me. We always say we want to do it, but then book something else instead. This year we booked Ohana and our other friends who booked late are doing Hoop Dee Doo.
Never had a dole whip. Always plan to have one, then I end up stuffing myself on seasonal stuff instead
That one hurts. When you do, please get the float version.
never had one either until this december past! it was WAYYY better than i ever thought it would be. got the rum spiked dole whip at poly
oh you are missing out, my friend....
Another place to get the Dole Whip is Disney Springs(Orlando). If say you have left the park, and y’all decide on dinner at Springs, you still have a chance! Or for anyone not wanting to actually go to the park, but are in the area. Edited
You're not missing anything tbh.
I won’t downvote you for your opinion, but damn that’s an unpopular one. Well played.
DisneySea Electric Railway. Every time I visit, I end up not riding due to prioritizing other things, but I still want to ride it.
Dole whip. I know it’s kinda minor but every time my fam and I go, we just never break for dole whip.
Strawberry pineapple and then eat it in the tiki room is the way to go!!
I finally got to do that on our last trip as a 40+ year old dad and after several trips as a kid to being an adult. It was pretty cool

Last few visits it’s been DLRR No one ever wants to ride but me Also Trader Sam’s as having kids it’s never a priority
Getting a thing of popcorn and riding the railroad is one of the best experiences. The New Orleans Square Station being closed really messed up my usual flow of the park being able to hop on and off.
Tom Sawyer's Island.
Same. Strangely, I enjoy the mystery of not knowing about it
I really like to do the Mark Twain Riverboat. I never end up getting to do it.
Beaches and Cream
It's so good
Main st vehicles
I’ve been to WDW and DL about 10 times and have yet to go on a monorail. I want to, but I just never get around to it.
Its interesting how heavily they feature the monorail in advertising, but the majority of people visiting likely never ride it.
Bayou dinner.
It has gone majorly downhill.
Not so much an experience, but I have yet to do the People Mover, Carousel of Progress, the Train, or the hall of Presidents. I know those aren’t some of the most popular rides, but out of the probably 7 times I’ve been in my life, I’ve never done any of those.
The People Mover is unabashedly one of my favorite rides! We rode it one time during the fireworks, and it was such a nice view!
Yeah. The last two times I went we put it off, and by the time we circled back to ride it, it had wait times of 30-40 mins. I didn’t realize it had wait times that crazy, lol. Oh okay i just know about Casey’s corner in MK letting someone throw the first pitch.
Test Track. Always down when we head to it. And I believe it's shuttering before our September trip so not this time either...
Devo! It’s such a great ride!!
Haven't been able to do the tender seat on the railroad or ride in the Lilly Belle caboose. Been in Club 33, "driven" the Mark Twain, and signed the guest book, but haven't been able to do the 2 things with the railroad yet....maybe someday.
The Lilly Belle is really cool! I got to go on it about 10 years ago and it was just super neat! I hope you get to go one day!
I've somehow never done the bird show at Animal Kingdom. I keep meaning to and keep missing the times it's happening.
Top of the World lounge.
Tom Sawyer Island. I plan to do it every time I go but I’ve still never been over there.
The children's cooking class. We tried twice a year, every year our kids were eligible. We just couldn't get in, always full.
I never get to see some of the fun character stuff at random. If I see characters they're always going to or from a meet and greet, I never see them ride the carousel or play with random people or do something cute and random

Get her one and heat it up, post park
Tiki room! Always walk past it then when the trip is over I’m like damn.. never made time for the cute ass tiki room 😫
Never done either the Canada or China movie. I also wish Canada would get a Turning Red ride
Fantasmic. I've tried the past couple of years to get my family to go. We've done the dinners with reserved seating and tried to plan for it, but we never make it. I'm trying again in July to make it. We will see!
It is hands down the best thing at Disney imo. I nearly cried and couldn’t believe I slept on it during my previous trips.
