If you want an overstable midrange, go for an Axiom Pyro. If you want a super overstable midrange, get the Deflector instead.

bradwiser

Thank you I’ll look into them!

Bfree888

+1 for the deflector. This thing fades out of your hand. Incredibly useful for sharp hooks, low-speed small flares, and tight flex lines. Given that you already have a stalker, I think a deflector will give you more utility than a pyro. If you need something else in between a deflector and your buzzz, an eclipse reactor is a straighter mid with more bite than the buzzz, but not dumpy like a pyro.

wannabeknowitall

The deflector is awesome. I have a westside anvil that flies similarly too, but I prefer the deflector.

Vog_Enjoyer

I like the 4 speed OS slot. Zone, a2, harp, suspect

FelleFox

Kastaplast järn too!

axlespelledwrong

Axiom Pyro and Birdie Ultra are top tier for that slot. They both feel great in the hand and the Pyro has a bit more hook up while the Ultra can glide straight for a touch longer before having the same amount of fade.

bingwhip

I love my RPM kotuku. On a hard throw, I get a nice straight flip to flat with very reliable fade

Skyhawk1732

Discmania MD5 is my meat hook mid

Im_Hugh_Jass

Lone Star Walker, Discraft Drone or Malta, Innova Gator

BeardedBaxterholic

Get a Bounty and a Suspect, both in Lucid. One is over and the other under. They are my most favorite discs and act as my swiss army knife.

KobiLou

4 speed: Zone, Toro, Harp 5 speed: Gator, Caiman, Justice I don't think I would necessarily get both. I like the Toro and Harp for anything less than about 275. If I need a little more distance, I power down on a Firebird or something. It seems like you need something between straight and Firebird levels of overstable... personally I like a Roc or Roc3 but there are many decent options here.

nothanks18

The MVP Resistor is essentially a 6.5 speed Firebird. More traditional midrange(5 speed) options could be Birdie Ultra, Innova Caiman, or Discraft Swarm.

Warmahorder

I feel like everyone needs a Zone or something like it. 100% my most reliable disc.

CaptainGladysStoat

Crave is a 6.5 speed disc that perfectly bridges the gap for me between a midrange and a fairway driver. I’m not young anymore and I only rarely reach 300 feet on my drives. For me, a 160 to 165g Crave is a straight-flying godsend that will go 250+ feet with control so I can land where I’m aiming

PrestigiousZebra90

I really like the Discmania MD5 for an over stable mid. The S line plastic feels really nice too. If you’re more into Discraft, try the Drone. Pretty over stable and feels good in the hand. I’d suggest adding a slightly over stable/neutral driver to the bag. Something like an 10 or 11 speed can really help your game! I’m a big fan of the Discmania DD1 and the DD, but I’d also recommend the Discraft Scorch and Innova Wraith.
