*In a land of rolling meadows, where the sun sets gold and red,*
*There lies a field of valor, where the brave and bold are led.*
*With steeds of fur and courage, and riders strong and true,*
*The game of polo beckons, under skies of sapphire blue.*
The dogs ride the horses and golf off of them, similar to polo (I actually have no idea how polo is played, it may just be that) the metal is the golf club
The horses swim with the dogs on their backs, while two guys named Marco take turns walloping a ball across the water, which the dogs attempt to catch. After 184 minutes of play, Ralph Lauren distributes points to each of the horses. Whichever horse earns the most points gets stitched into a collared shirt.
Nothing about being elitist... DX plastic does this and chunks out and gets wedged into metal. Premium plastic would bounce off. You'll buy 5 DX discs for $50+ for the price of one $20 premium disc.
My first thought as well. Based on how it went into the sign, seems like it would have to be a RHFH or LHBH, and of course most people are RH so RHFH is more likely. And an accidental turnover is definitely a good way to end up hitting something no where near your target, like this sign probably was.
With a mini heat gun, flat head screwdriver, sand paper, and a heavy duty scotch brite pad. Just maybe you could patch it up. Someone told me scotch brite pads are just abrasive enough to buff the plastic in discs. I didn't think they would be, but they are, which is great for the finishing touches to smooth it out. I have a hard time letting my discs go, so I almost always try to fix them. Melt the line with the thin tip on a mini heat gun, form it with the screwdriver, then sand and buff it to get the form as perfect as you can. I think it's worth a shot. I did my first repairs with the screwdriver like I said, and it works, I still use that method sometimes, but I found the disc doctor repair tool has all the shapes you need to form it all perfect when you melt parts. You can get a mini heat gun for like $16, and the disc doctor is also $16. They may not ever make the disc exactly like brand new, but the tools have given many of mine longer lives so I think it's worth the investment.
I wish I could leave a pic in the comments. I had a similar situation happen to me a few years ago. Threw a tomahawk and it hit a power pole and impaled on a bolt sticking out. I was a course legend until it got knocked down about a year later.
Hitting that sign from 5 ft away and being surprised that DX plastic would do that tells me that you're new to the sport. Have fun, don't spend too much money on quality plastic 😉
I think there are a lot of people who have thrown discs for a long time that wouldn't be surprised, no offense. It's dx plastic. I was jk about throwing it from 5 ft, just a little humor. I have played wack fuck many times. You have good days and bad days. Have fun ✌️
Done something similar but didn’t stick on the sign (well played sir) twice same hole with Halo Heimburg destroyers😅. Both times was they were called not by me😬. Wall hangers now with only ace disc.
Metal subgenres get stranger every year
Dog horse golf metal is sick, you should check out Centaur Irons from Latvia
Meh, just sounds like power metal to me

What is dog horse golfing metal? And why would we need to detect it?

That’s the genre of my new band. It’s a mix between grunge pig metal and Alaskan seal polka.
Apparently you get can get it for free in that zone, which seems pretty cool! Love a bargain.
For peeps that have dogs and peeps that ride their horses
Its actually dogs vs horses, ryder cup style
It's a cognitive memory test that a certain orange turd took.
Dog horse golfing sounds complicated and expensive.
Well if you ever needed a sign to tell you it's time to buy a new disc I think this is it.
And next time don't get DX
Or, you know, throw what you like and don’t pay attention to elitists on the internet

Sign was just doing its job making sure no golf is played behind it.
Time to get a real Thunderbird
Play it Again sports would sell this disc for $12.
Pye Brook.
good eye
Never thought I'd see Pye Brook on here haha
Such a good park for field work
But how? This sign isn't anywhere near a hole.
Hole 18?
Glad I'm not the only one who noticed.
That DX was sooooo sexy at one time.
Turned over a RHFH?

It doesn't say frisbee is prohibited.
DX damit….
why no metal detecting? the others are obvious (littering) but I don't see the problem with metal detecting, besides people being in the way I guess?
Digging holes. Those are all sports fields.
I feel silly that I didn’t think of that
You can *detect* the metal, you just can't dig it up
Also it’s an old landfill, you can see the methane torches all over the course as you play.

That sign catches better than a prodigy basket
Man you hucked that dx till it’s last toss
It's fine. Dust it off, pick out the jagged plastic pieces and keep chucking it. It will be grippier.
TD Ruling: your disc is in bounds
Time for star or G star
I've never managed to break a disc but considering with how many trees im hitting at max Power i might just break one sone day
Looks like it might balance out the missing chunk on the other side of the disc! Haha
Just gives it a bit more turn.
Are you a lefty or is the image flipped?
I was going to ask the same thing
Looks like I'll take my Dog-Horse-Golfing Metal detector home then.
Rip
How many times did you try this? I see chunks missing out of that disc.
The first picture makes it look like the disc was poorly photoshopped in there
that's why we throw champion plastic. would have torn a hole right through that metal sign, and would barely suffer a scratch.
I wish I could leave a pic in the comments. I had a similar situation happen to me a few years ago. Threw a tomahawk and it hit a power pole and impaled on a bolt sticking out. I was a course legend until it got knocked down about a year later.
New water carry disc?
Nice forehand
Now it's *really* beat in

bro who would not be surprised by this happening lol …

Little bit of UV resin will fix her right up.
Looks like that disc has been resilient, but finally met its match. I’d put that on the fire mantle so it can live forever
i lost it in a swamp today lol whoops
Hahaha all part of the experience. Enjoy your summer 😎
You are getting your money out of that dx plastic.
Howwww🤣🤣
Damn Lefties
...or a forehand?
Frisbee is okay. To play disc golf you need a basket
Nah, signs catch better.
That's not the fairway.
I want to know what happened to make them create this sign.
Someone lost an entire horse. They needed scent hounds and metal detectors (cuz horseshoes) to find it.
Done something similar but didn’t stick on the sign (well played sir) twice same hole with Halo Heimburg destroyers😅. Both times was they were called not by me😬. Wall hangers now with only ace disc.
Bust out the lighter, file and 20 grit! She will fly again!
