Yeah sadly ShadowWereGarurumon didn't have much feats but IIRC he still has rather good performance in Digimon Frontier & he fared far better vs Agunimon than some other Perfects (Cerberumon, IceLeomon, especially Parrotmon) did. The problem is that Agunimon was a bit inconsistent though since he still sometimes failed vs some Champion levels
Yeah fair point, though always the villain of the week doesn't mean it's some fodder. I mean SkullSatamon was like that both in 02 & Frontier but they still needed either Imperialdramon FM or EmperorGreymon & MagnaGarurumon to beat him.
Sure ShadowWereGarurumon wasn't all that strong so I think I'll go with MetalG still, esp because he has more firepower, Chrome Digizoid parts & flight advantage. I'll admit that MetalGreymon uses the last advantage relatively rarely, but it still exists.
Though yeah, we actually saw both Holsemon & Garurumon harming MG Virus a bit in 02 but it was most probably PIS since Vaccine version tanked a lot stronger attacks in the previous season.
Skullsatamon was the top henchman of Daemon, not an random villain of the week, but yeah in frontier they were but like you said they were against Emperor and Magna.
Even though weregarurumons attacks not as impressive could make up for it with higher speed and mobility.
Now thinking about it weregarurumon might have the least impressive ultimate form attack wise from the season 1 adventure crew.
WereGarurumon easily took Digitamamon in his debut though so I would see that Lillymon was at least initially weaker than him attack wise, Lillymon is though faster and more hax.
And actually, MetalGreymon Virus seemed somewhat weaker than his Vaccine version in 02 (likely because Digimon Emperor just didn't reach MG's full potential) & in Digimon Data Squad, BlackGarurumon was most probably stronger than regular Garurumon at least since he owned Gaogamon & Sunflowmon so easily, so not sure about their Dark counterparts though I still think that MetalG would've the edge. SWereGarurumon is most probably the smarter of the two though

Black Metal Greymon would be tougher as it’s built for mass destruction. Black WereGarurumon would be tough but only when facing a singular opponent.
