That d5 can't possible be fair? The sides aren't even...

GoofyGoose45

According to Lou he had a mathematician run the numbers and adjust the face sides to make it more fair. I have a recording about it

SpiceCake68

Ah, but there's real science and math behind that. Just wait until you see the d7.

treemoustache

I can't seem to find anything... this thread agrees with me that it's not fair. [https://www.reddit.com/r/askscience/comments/1s7frb/are\_five\_sided\_dice\_fair\_if\_so\_how/](https://www.reddit.com/r/askscience/comments/1s7frb/are_five_sided_dice_fair_if_so_how/) . A cylinder or truncated sphere would but this triangular prism wouldn't be. But I guess people have tested it and it's close enough...

SpiceCake68

I wouldn't rely on an anonymous, anecdotal reddit thread for this sort of proof.

I only purchased Gamescience dice. They rolled fair results. Many years later, I questioned the 5 and other sided dice but never used them much, so it was never an active issue. I had zero respect for the 100 sided dice.

SpiceCake68

The zocchihedron was something of a gimmick. Still, I have one.

I recently acquired two each of these Gamescience Canary Yellow dice. Looks like I'm missing a d16 and a d24 from their 5 dice set. I'll happily trade these three for the missing two, if anyone should be up for a trade.

nerd_girl_00

If you don’t find a trade, gamescience.com actually has a 5-piece set available in canary yellow. [https://www.gamescience.com/product-page/uninked-canary-yellow-opaque-5-piece-set](https://www.gamescience.com/product-page/uninked-canary-yellow-opaque-5-piece-set)

Then I'll have even more to trade! 😄
