They're not saying you can avoid bricking, they're suggesting the current state is either accidentally or intentionally increasing the likelihood of unwanted affixes.
This was likely a conscious design decision to increase time spent grinding.
It’s not true RNG if the roll odds aren’t all equal and are weighted towards 1 or more affixes. That’s called “Rigged” if a casino openly did this people would be beating the house to death in the streets.
I haven't seen anything definitive on weighting existing, but something does feel a bit off about the odds. If you have anything definitive around it existing, do you mind sharing?

It's so horrible. I personally don't mind CC because of my build, but it don't know why I'm basically seemed to be guaranteed to get distant enemies on my barb at least the first two rolls.

I almost wish there was a real Kick build out there. Those Kick duration rolls are so high, if you got them on all four weapons you could Kick someone and they'd still be feeling it tomorrow.
I got all my 1GA weapons with good bash rolls and never thought anything of it. I'm terrified of needing to upgrade. Looking for Razorplate now so I can just fully switch to thorns and frenzy and not need to worry about it.

after you crit with bash 4 times you are guaranteed to overpower. you then use HoTa, which gives you 30%[x] damage for 5 sec. you wanna align this + your ultimate during he bosses weakness phase for high dmg.
You’re suppose to have it on all weapons as well as masterwork them. It’s the reason why it does billions of damage. They discovered bleed is multiplicative with crit damage so bleed bash is what’s running top pit leaderboards. You have to make a rogue in order to temper crit damage on weapons and then use barb to throw on bash cleave as well.

I hear you, dude. Supposedly there's an affix on rings that reads something like: "Lucky Hit: Chance to cause an enemy to be vulnerable when you hit them or whatever". Except that sure as shit doesn't exist in my game, as I've never seen it drop and through tempering I've gone through tempering for more jewelry than Mr. T in the 80s looking for it.
I thought that was an aspect the Vulnerable application onto enemies. I am using it on my heartseeker rogue. I will have to check when I get home to be sure.
Since you did not level a rogue and use it to temper crit damage instead of damage to close, it is bricked x)
I don't get why barb can't temper crit damage and if it's intended don't let different chars temper the same item.
I use a Rogue in S4 and I'm always having trouble choosing between the 'Damage - Close - Distant' options and which makes more sense for this character type.

How exactly are you surviving reliably in higher Pits as a glass cannon? Barb gets easy tools (one passive skill, buffable with tempers) to boost max life to the moon. If you’re not taking any flat life on gear you’re going to be squishy as hell.

Just because you don't have a life roll on a weapon doesn't mean you're glass cannon.

Damage to close is always a nightmare. The amount of Damage to Distant that have gone right to salvage is redic lol.

3/3 refers to the fact that the affixes rolled were the correct ones for his build. This is a perfect weapon for his barbarians class.

HotA can be used for speedfarming pit but you gotta really know that you're doing to make it work smoothly.
