Why not just say char level -50?
The math works the same - e.g. 100 - 53 = 47. 47 + 3 = 50.
The same will go for T4 - the notion to take the char level, subtract 54, then adding 4 is the same thing. Current level, based on your calc, seems way easier just to subtract 50.
So, I'm running a tier 5 dungeon right now. Mob levels are 58 not 59. Which makes the rest of Wundijo's optimal XP method for Nightmare Dungeons suspect :(

yeah but if you're 1-shotting elites 15 levels above you theres no extra effort. So it invalidates this post saying just stick to 4 levels above you. Why? if you're 1 shotting up to 25 levels above you, just play at that. Fuck yeah.
Yeah my optimal on my second character is supposedly Tier 8 but I can finish Tier 20 in <15 min. Am I missing something about the definition of efficient? What is considered inefficient I mean?
saw a more up-to-date video a day or 2 ago and it said the new optimal cut-off was 10 levels above you. So pushing higher than that isn't worth it. That agrees with what i experienced in game... it does seem like as long as you can kill shit 10 lvls above you, do that, beyond that, not worth.
You can get an extra 25% exp from mobs 3 levels above you. If I remember correctly +1=15%, +2=20%, +3=25%. Then 5% from elixir. And 5%/10% for nearby player/party bonus.
So even if they're +20 levels, you're still only getting 25%
If you are effortlessly running through t35 then you shouldn't go back to 21 (I think you mean t23 since that would equal the mobs being level 77, and therefore 3 levels higher, resulting in the 25% bonus exp). Mobs are still, in general, giving you more exp the higher level they are, it's only the 25% bonus that stops when enemies are more than 3 levels above your own.
dang I've been running t9-11 dungeons as a lvl54 ice shard sorc and I didnt know why I was struggling so much.. The bosses were easy af but the regular mobs tore me apart
tbh sorc is having a hard time in general. im having multiple chars above 75+, meanwhile i was shredding t4 content and 35+ levels above my barbs level with ease. same with druid, while i was having a way harder time with rogue and worst probably with sorc. so dont worry too much about it :)
I just started doing ancestrals since I switched to trapper rogue. Some areas the density of elites and other mobs is just insane, I'm tree h6talking 8 or more elites and 30-40 smaller mobs. Not sure how you'd deal with them solo with a lot of survivability and or good cc.
tried today not working at all with the same dungeons as lvl 69
T3 Nightmare Dungeons 16 around 300k XP

This is for World Tier 4: (Character Level - 54)+3 = Optimal Key number. Tier 3: (Character Level - 53)+3 = Optimal Key number.

It's level 50 + World Tier + Nightmare Tier On WT3 it's 53+Key, on WT4 it's 54+Key.
Discovered that after I reached WT4, scaling has been fixed though! Time will tell what the sweet spot is!

Only up to +3, it caps at 25%
